Switch had given up cleaning the place, and for the last little while she'd even given up GOING to work. Whether the shop needed her or not, she was a new Mother (again), and was adjusting to having a Baby. Not just any Baby, but a hell Baby. A probably criminal-eating Baby with a mishmashed appearance and a razor sharp tongue. But eventually she got a hang of dealing with the helion runt, and decided it was high time to return to the shop.
Despite the weather she was actually having fun; going through the items instead of ignoring them. There were some pretty neat things in here, and she could finally appreciate them, which was an odd turn of events for her. Perhaps time away from the shop had done her a whole world good!
Or perhaps inanimate objects were more appealing than a screaming Baby who could wound you if he was displeased.
Either way.
Humming to herself, Switch pulled at a stone-feeling object that poked through an odd set of blankets and other items. Hmmmph! Man, it was heavy! The woman struggled with it for a while, pulling on the little stone "handle", apparently very determined to free it from it's prison. Not that she could tell what 'it' was.

Luis had seen the advertisement for the shop on a television and blatantly ignored it in favor of reading. Then she saw an advertisement for the same shop in a paper with obnoxiously large print that insisted, nay demanded, that she needed to come see this shop that may or may not have something that she was seeking. The female satyr-like creature had snorted and tossed the paper aside.
Today, however, she was bored. Capital B-O-R-E-D bored and so she went for a walk and inevitably ended up right in front of the shop she had totally intended to ignore entirely but now that her feet took her here she might as well have a peek, she supposed. She tucked her hands into the pockets of her oversized coat.
Outwardly Luiseach looked human from top to bottom with the exception of a set of pointy ears and some horns that sprouted from her head, otherwise? She appeared human, acted human, and human'd about quite humanly and spoke in normal human tongue. Luis ran a slender hand through her bright red hair before she walked in after a moment of hesitation, "'Allo there? Anyone in?" there was a faint brogue to her voice when she spoke.

Switch hadn't the faintest clue that the shop had turned from luring passerbyes to blatantly advertising to it's intended victims. Ignorance was bliss, indeed. By the time the red haired woman peered into the shop Switch was in the beginning stages of defeat; she was pondering giving up her quest to pull this stone thing out from behind the blankets and under the table. Maybe it would be best if she dug out the other items around it? Maybe? Hmm.
The blue haired woman startled when the voice pierced the quiet air, and after taking a deep breath to calm herself, wandered out from the stacks she was hidden behind.
"Hello! Um, Welcome! Can I help you?"

"Aye, came 'ere cause of an advertisement ye printed and had on the television," Luis said bluntly as she looked about, "wanted t'see what yer about. Y'the owner?" It sounded better than admitting to the complete and utter boredom that she was feeling until moment's prior. She was completely unaware of the store's more treacherous tricks, if any. As far as the satyr knew she had come here of her own free will and thus was totally un-tricked.
Her bright green eyes gazed about the area thoughtfully.
"Neat lil' collection y'got goin' 'ere." Luis drawled.

Advertisement? Printed? On Television?
"...What?" Switch said in rather loud, shocked awe. "What Ads? I didn't put any---I mean, I just got---aaaaugh..." Her groan was a lot quieter than the rest of her words, even face palming into a palm full of dust. Coughing a little bit, Switch grumbled and wiped her hands off on her jeans. "Yes, I'm the owner." She said calmly. This damned shop was getting creative. "My, um, associate - " Tilting her head a bit, she gave the rest of the shop a pointed look. "Must have set up ads without my knowledge." Smiling sweetly she turned her attention back to the red haired one.
"There are an aweful lot of things here...I can honestly say this is at least three generations of Curious nick nacks from all over the world, as far as I can tell." The green eyed woman said with...wait for it...pride. She'd never been very proud of the shop before, because it happened to be a little bit of a brat.

She stared at the other woman as she went through a wide range of reactions. Luis tilted her head from side to side as the blue haired one went through and finally explained that it was an associate to blame. "Ahh, hate when th' right hand doesn't inform th' left hand of what it is doin'," she said simply started to move forward and gaze about at what was already standing around.
"I can see that, y'seem rather proud of yer stock." The satyr couldn't say for certain that she was looking for anything in particular at all. She was milling about, meandering, and not really touching. Might as well be friendly and sociable, "Y'can call me Luis," she said simply.

"Yes, it is rather inconvenient, isn't it?" Switch agreed with a thin smile, hoping the shop had a method of hearing. Yes, it would've been nice to be informed of it's antics, now wouldn't it? Part of her figured it would never happen, but there was always a thin hope. "I am pretty proud of it I suppose...but I wish I could clean this place." There was another glance cast around the shop; hoping it would also get this hint and tidy itself up a little bit.
Another unlikely event.
"Pleasure to meet you, Luis...I'm Switch." A glance was cast down to the little stone thing she had been trying to get out earlier since Luis seemed to be looking around, using the opportunity to move some of the blankets on top, and the nicknacks that had piled around the sides. She the shoved a couple of items on the floor to the side, freeing up spaces around the stone thing. "Oh, it's a gargoyle." She said absently, having finally figured out what the object was.

"Perhaps y'should have a talk with yer associate. A nice firm talk indeed." Luis said thoughtfully as she gazed about having no clue that the shop was the associate they were speaking of. She reached out and observed items but otherwise she held no real interest in anything around her.
"Enchanted," she said calmly though coming from her it almost sounded sarcastic though it really wasn't. Soon Luis was near Switch and peered over at the box. Generally she wasn't into such items. Sure gargoyles were protective guardians but she didn't put much stock in things protecting her that didn't move at all nor held any real magical qualities. Still...
Luis tapped her chin as she peered into the box at the figurine, "T's a pretty handsome figure."

Switch smiled. Yes, she would most certainly be having a talk with her shop. As funny as she would look doing so, it was more than likely very, very needed."I most certainly will try." Because buildings, in her experience, tended to be stubborn and held fast onto their chosen ground. Luis came over to her and Switch was in the process of pulling the Gargoyle out of the box.
"Very; unusual, since they're supposed to frighten off evil." It made her wonder if this particular one was even working; she always figured her shop was evil in some way. "I saw it's wing peeking out over here and thought I'd figure out what it was." Oof, it was heavy! But she managed to keep it up, tilting it a bit so Luis would see it. "Kind of canine-like, isn't it?"

"Supposed to," she agreed with a small laugh. "My gramma always talked about gargoyles an' how won'erful they are for protectin' what's precious." Luis said with a somewhat fond tone. She always liked her grandmother. Sure the woman was certifiably batty but she was a very nice lady in all.
Luis chuckled lightly, "Can't judge a figure by its wing."
"It does, but hounds always made the best guardians o' anythin' really. Hounds guard th'way into Hades after all," Luis pointed out thoughtfully. After a few moments she reached out, "May I?"

Switch caught the fond tone and couldn't help but smile fondly as well. It was always nice to have a family member you were that fond of! "No, you can't. I'm sure it had done a fabulous job protecting what it had to, when it was in use." She commented, nodding a bit in regards to the comment about Canines and Guardians. Hmm, she never really thought about it that way before! Very interesting perspective on the whole situation.
"Hm? Oh! Of course." With a surprised little jump, the blue haired woman held out the somewhat heavy figure, handing it over to Luis. Once it changed hands she brushed her palms off on her jeans, cleaning them of dust.
There was something off about this...that vague feeling that this was more than just a random customer. Coincidences were falling into place already...which meant... Switch's green eyes shifted to observe the rather pretty red head, sighing quietly. Poor woman was probably going to walk out of here with a child.

"Thank ye, lass," Luis murmured softly. The weight of the figure in her hands was reassuring she didn't notice the sigh or the look in Switch's eyes. It was odd the more she looked at the figure the more attached to it she felt. It was kind of strange but she accepted it for the moment. There were several little thoughts running in her head and then she remembered she had a spot that the figure would look rather charming in.
She always did like gothic looking things...
Yes.
"How much for it?" Luis asked suddenly as she suddenly made up her mind. She was going to buy this object.

"You're welcome." Switch said quietly, observing Luis and the Gargoyle. Yes, this poor woman...that gargoyle was one of them. Her suspicions were confirmed when she heard that soft chime in her head, the one that sounded when a bond was made.
"How much? ...Hm." No items in this shop had a price tag, and situations like this was probably the reason. "Free, just this one time." She decided with a little nod, playing with a piece of her blue bangs. "For bringing the antics of my associate to my attention." She reasoned, though she just didn't want to have someone pay her to end up with a child.

Luis almost dropped the weighty statue as her eyes gazed over at Switch, "Ye sure? I can pay I have th'money for it," yes she had actual money in her pocket just for this statue. She had put it there herself just in case she found something she had fancied, after all. Still she supposed it made sense and the woman did say 'just this one time' so Luis couldn't find much wrong with that.
The horned woman nodded lightly, "A'ight then, I'll accept it as a token of appreciation."

Switch nodded. Yes, she was sure. There would be no payment for this! That would just add to the cruelty of getting a child dumped on you unexpectedly. She really wished she could tell the people they're doomed, she really did. Instead, all she could do was to nod and smile sweetly.
"Wonderful! If you wish to take a look around, feel free! I have paper work to do, but if you need me just give me a shout, okay?" She said with an absent minded, tiny bow. With that she turned, heading to her giant oak desk.
