Adrian was unsure how to approach the girl that had grown from his scented candle. A week had already passed and the lad was still trying to get used to this, to assimilate to this new lifestyle. He wasn’t just a teenager. Now, he was a dad or of the sorts. The concept was entirely new to him. He was only seventeen. How was he supposed to raise a child when he could barely care for himself? This was going to take some trial and error.

For one thing, the brunette didn’t dare to let the mistletoe scent out of his sight for a while. Yuuka didn’t seem to mind, but after many reassurances and displays of sensibility Adrian finally began to keep some distance away from his child. Yet like any parent with common sense, he accompanied her when she left the house. Who in their right mind would let a child wander the outside world on their own?

Together the two explored a public, exotic garden. From the beginning Yuuka had shown a keen interest in gardening and the uses and meanings of various plants.

While Adrian politely admired some flowers in one corner, Yuuka eagerly skipped from one plant to the next, paying attention to its name, description, and overall appearance.

Juno thought her arm was about to be pulled out of its socket as her darling moon child dragged her to the public gardens. She had been so sure that the girl would be more than against having to practice her spells and charms. Strangely enough Phoebe had jumped at the suggestion. The little girl was plotting something. She had to be otherwise she would have hidden herself away somewhere that would have taken Juno hours to locate. No, maybe Phoebe was finally realizing the importance of her lessons. Yes, that had to be it, or so she told herself as she resigned herself to not be suspicious.

Finding her center, Juno tried to bring to an easy stop, but the girl wasn't stopping for anything. The woman tripped over her feet a few times before she got control of the situation. Control meant that the witch had the little girl an inch of the ground rendering the child immobile. Brushing the dirt off her clothes, Juno turned towards Phoebe, “Now we're going to review some of the charms I taught you last week. I am going to let you down and you will be a good girl and do as I say. Ok?”

The girl smiled serenely at her guardian which was assumed to be a consent. Phoebe almost felt a pang of guilt as she dashed away as soon as her feet touched the ground. She could her Juno yelling something as she chased after her to stop. The scent didn't stop. How could she when there was so many wonderful fragrances to explore? She ran and skipped and twirled as she made her way through the maze of gardens. She had a destination chosen. The exotic gardens. Anything and everything out of the ordinary was right up Phoebe's alley. Not too mention that she had a feeling that the exotic garden was exactly where she was suppose to be.

The moment Yuuka stepped into the garden she knew she was in love. Vines of pale purple blossoms twined around the wooden fences that protected the garden from unwanted intruders. Cobblestone paths lead the green-haired girl deeper into paradise, the enchanting aromas drawing her in more and more.

Her shoes scuffed against the stony path, her large eyes sparkling and alight with wonder. “Adrian just has to take me here more often! Like, like every week! Yeah!” she breathed as she bent forward to admire a pair of roses. Careful to avoid its prickly thorns, her slender fingers reached out to wrap around the blossom, relishing its satin petals. Yuuka contently sighed. “They smell just as wonderful! I don’t want to go home, ever.

A gentle wind blew, bringing with it an unfamiliar scent. Curious, she let go of the rose and stood up, silently sniffing the air. Yuuka tilted her head and followed the trail, intrigued by the soothing smell.
