Personality: quiet yet stands up for what he believes in, is used to working alone, somewhat dark.
Other: Holds a dark secret that had changed his life forever.

Age: 16.
Personality: This girl is an outcast because of her dark personality and her past. On the outside, she appears to be very serious but she's actually a fan of various forms of entertainment. Lerena is lonely so she suppresses that feeling by being rebellious and disobedient in class (when she actually attends).
Other: She's from America and came to Domino City to begin a new life.

My name is Hikari, I have lived in Domino City for 8 years now after moving. Recently a new comer Lerena recently moved in. She seemed to be pretty shy in class today. Maybe I should talk to her. All these thoughts are brought up while he is sitting on the edge of the local card shack. Knowing the owner, he allows him to go behind the front desk to access the roof. It has become a hang out spot for him and sometimes his small group of friends.

Lerena was called out by the teacher to talk about her behavior after school. Knowing teachers, they wouldn't understand why she acted this way. All she wanted was a group of friends to hang out with. Her sister was always busy these days. Even though she stressed her making new friends, it was still heartbreaking to lose the bond she shared with Renoko for so long. Renoko graduated just last year and was working for her grandmother's fashion company. This left her in a world of pain and suffering. After discussing her problem with the teacher, she walked to the local card shack to study her deck. She didn't duel, but she still liked to collect cards. The teacher went on and on about her behavior when she just wanted to be left alone. Years of being with her sister left her barely sociable with anyone else. These days, she spent hours locked in her room just watching horror movies and reading horror novels.

Hikari noticing this routine that Lerena took, thought of a way to take advantage. He could talk to her when she arrives at the card shack.. then thinking, that maybe not. "no.. I have to stop this shyness, I will talk to her" And with a plan set in mind, hung on the roof once more the following day. Waiting for Lerena to arrive. (sorry if my posts are shorter, it will grow longer as time goes)

Lerena made her way over to the card shack the next day to read one of the new books she got from the library. This one was a horror-packed mystery. She wondered what to do about dinner as she kept walking. Her mother tried to cheer her up yesterday after a serious talk about behaving properly. She wasn't sure what kind of friends she wanted, but she knew someone had to have the guts to speak to her despite her rebellious attitude. In fact, she was always shy and she refused to share much information about her beyond what was needed for group projects. The truth was that many things still haunted her and it was difficult for her to trust that she wouldn't be betrayed.

Swinging his legs over the edge of the roof, spotting Lerena, started making Hikari's heart beating faster, it was time. He swung his legs back around and left for the stairs to the inside of the shop. Slowly waiting for Lerena to show. For when she does. It would be time to introduce himself.

Lerena walked over to the stairs leading to the shop and sat down on the middle of the staircase. She was completely oblivious to her surroundings as she began reading the second chapter of her book. It wouldn't bother her if someone tried talking to her and she noted that someone might think her reading on the stairs as being strange. Normally someone went to a shop to buy things, but she went here to get away from it all. She was happier in public no matter how disobedient she acted at times. Little movies played in her head while she was reading her book.

*Watching her reading* "uhm.. Hello there..." *no response* "You like books.. ha ha thats cool and all, but umm.. are you.. into, Trading cards, I mean.. this is a card shack..." *still no response and Hikari starts to walk away* "errr" *turns back to Lerena and yells out* "HI MY NAME IS HIKARI!" *everyone in the store is staring at him. *embarressing*

Lerena was startled by the shouting and dropped her book. She picked it up and stared at Hikari. "Sorry. Did you say something?" she asked, confused. "I apologize if I didn't hear you. This book is just so interesting." said Lerena, standing up and dusting herself off. "Are you in my class? I think I've seen you somewhere before." she added, blushing slightly as she looked at him. He was attractive now that she got a good look at him. Why was she so embarrassed over one guy? Looks weren't everything and yet she found herself barely able to look away.

He He *rubbing the back of his neck* "Sorry about that" *blushes slightly as well, more out of embarressment then thinks* She is very pretty, especially when her face isn't hidden *at loss of words for a couple minutes and then starts to talk again* "Yea, we are in a couple classes together. "Uh....." *glances at book* "Oh, what book is that?"

((I don't have many horror novels myself, so I'm going to make some up in this RP.))
"What book?" Lerena asked, looking at the cover. It had a girl on it that resembled the one from the Ring. She wasn't sure how she should answer. "Um..." she uttered shyly before holding the book by her side. "It's a horror novel." confessed Lerena. Even though she was shy, she preferred to be honest. When she got started, she was actually far from shy and more on the overly blunt side. However, only her family ever saw that side of her. To the public, she seemed a little too creepy. No matter how she tried to deny it, a person's fear was very amusing to her. "I do like trading cards. I just don't have any money to buy some today. Yesterday, I was working on my deck." she added. His blushing was pretty cute. Cuteness was normally not her cup of tea, but she could have exceptions, right?

Hearing something that he was familiar with, Hikari found a topic to talk about. "Oh? What kind of deck do you have?" Reaching into his back pocket and took out his deck of cards. "I have one here, its not much to look at, but its not the worst either." Pausing for a second and then continuing. "Actually..." Slowing down in talk speed "This was passed down from my father, I edited a bit, but the deck is still very similar." Getting back to the point.. "So what kind of deck do you have there.. and Im sorry for rambling.. Happens sometimes."

"I know what that's like, believe it or not." answered Lerena. "I have a warrior deck. It's just for show since it isn't very good. This means I don't duel." she told him. "Why were you talking so fast? Are you nervous?" Lerena asked. Rambling wasn't rare for her since she liked to talk. However, it was strange seeing someone who rambled as well. "I created my deck myself." she added. "Dueling isn't my strong point."

"Nervous.. he he.. eh not at all" Speaking slower now. "So.. may I see your deck?" Placing his deck back into its case and holding a hand out. "I can show you all I know about Duel Monsters, even for someone who just likes it for show." Smiles as Lerena hands over the deck silently. "hmmm, oh some good cards here." Hands it back. "I may have some cards you might like." Thinks to self 'Wow this isn't so hard at all, maybe i was silly for being so nervous'
