Gaia isn't selling cigs or pipes anymore... and they want us to sell them back? Well. I am anti-smoking, but... I like my pipe and cig on my avi kty. Especially my cool pipe. ; A ;
So ya. LOL. I wonder what they're going to take away next. (At least they didn't take it away forcefully, they're just not selling it anymore). mad hmmm

hm...i wonder if you could still buy them on the MP. not that i'm thinking of buying any in the near future, just a thought in case i change my mind or something.
i can understand why they would make that choice though. it's one thing to allow implicit or graphic (in terms of blood) items, but to have items that advertise smoking could potentially (though it's a silly notion) cause a bad addictive habit.

All tobacco items are soulbound. Therefore, no more selling of them, period.
The only way to get one now is to either buy the Gambino SD Plus doll, or either one of the Carol EIs.

They don't want to get rid of the super sexy looking items that provoke cybering and such, but they think getting rid of tobacco based items is best.

My wearing a pipe or cigarette on my avatar isn't going to convince me to smoke. If they're upset about "advertising tobacco," they should probably start asking people to get rid of their weapons items too.

I could understand if this was a children's website, but it isn't. If I remember correctly, Gaia has always said that this is a PG-13 website. And I think that people 13 and up can handle looking at a cigarette without wanting to actually smoke one.
Seriously, this really makes me want to equip my pipe and never unequip it.

@Gina: Yes, that was actually the response of the whole site. Basically, everyone who had one before they got soulbound has put on their smoking-related items in protest. I didn't feel like making a new thread for this, so I'll just stick it in here: Cigs and stuff are returning. I must say, the lucky ducks who were able to sell theirs for hundreds of thousands (I know one had bid millions on it earlier today and by now the listing has been won) are extremely lucky. The people who spent all that gold getting one? Not so lucky.
