at least in stanislaus county we have honor band and the audition was yesterday. i tried again-i made it last year-so hopefully ill make it again.
i saw some people there who also went to the summer music at stanislaus that was at UC stanislaus (band camp) and honor band can give u a scholarship for that u know.
anyway just wanted to see if there are any more cali-girl-bandgeeks here

Um, well im not in band, but I got into Honor Orchestra here in LasVegas.

I tried out for one last weekend.
Unfortunately, out of 125 flautists, they only except around 30 ._.
I didn't make it xP
But, I will be in one in Feb.

We don't have to audition for district honor band. The directors just get together and decide who's in. Since I did WIBC I was automatically in pretty much.

YES! biggrin
All-West(Tennessee) Honors Orchestra(much more hardcore than our honor band, here)!
I'm 3rd chair oboe and 1st chair English Horn.
I would have tried out for Honor Band as well(already knew the music) but the practices/concerts are on the same days so I could only do 1 of them, and I chose orchestra because I like it better.
I also made UTM Honor Band(haven't auditioned for placement yet, I was 2nd chair top band last year) and probably will make APSU Honor Band(Since I was 3rd chair last year and my teacher is the professor there! lol)
