Agreed, and it that is the case, if cigarettes are so bad and Gaia needs to take off stuff that is bad for us. How about the jars of booze because alcoholism kills more per year than Cigarettes. Why not the needles? Drug addiction with heroine is far worse than a cigarette addiction. How about all the swords, cause, swords and knives kill people...
I mean... this is just as stupid is as stupid does....

Exactly! Ugh... I hate that ideal. Cigarettes don't just walk on their own and kill people, people pick up smoking and kill themselves. They know the risk and that's their choice! Its not someone elses. People know. They just don't care. Its up to them to decide what they want and shouldn't do. I mean...
There are sexually transmitted diseases but you don't see everyone advertising not to have sex on tv all over the place. Just be safe and use protection. Same thing with smoking, if you are going to do it, just make sure you know the risks. And that's it....

Soon they will ban swear words. Ban certain topics such as politics and religion. Ban everything. And make it safe for kids. This is really silly! I mean - what does it do, really, banning any form of cig in this site? -.-"

Just because I see my avi made of pixels daily and notice the
kiseru in it's hand doesn't make me want to smoke D;
Seriously. Bad move for Gaia.
It just made veryone equip their smoke-related items
on their avis. Even some of the mods are against it.
If anyone is affected in their decision to smoke by pixels on Gaia,
then it's THAT PERSON'S fault, and not the item.

Oh yeah. Lanzer admitted they had made a mistake, and returned all tobacco items to shops!

yea they new they f'ed up, to many people were pissed and they had to apologize for there stupidity. If smoking woz gunna go why not alcohol?

Lol, well I'm basically in the same boat with everyone else. I believe Wicked had an excellent point about how Hollywood will focus the entire plot of a movie around smoking pot or shooting heroine, but the moment Clint Eastwood lights up a Marlb. they face a lawsuit for being a 'bad influence' on America's youth. LMAO, priceless...
