A foul mood. Not something Dath particularly cared to be in, but even more dangerous for those of the mortal sort. The kind that die. The rain may have cleared up, but he still felt his wings heavy with water, and the clouds in the sky blocked the sun's rays from drying those wings.

Glaring up at the sky, sure that it was some joke against him, the soggy god found refuge on a large stone, able to lean against it and drape one wing on the stone's cool surface. It wasn't going to do the trick, but it would certainly help more than keeping the wing plastered to his side.

"Damn rain, always coming out of no where to make life miserable," he ranted, feeling his claws extent to poke the soft earth below. His voice continued to rumble, rants that were quite colourful but quiet enough to only be heard by his own voice.

"Damn Sun can't even do his job right," he added on, still looking up at the clouded sky. He could probably seek out Fire to help, but she'd probably end up doing more damage inadvertantly. He snorted at that thought, still tossing ideas around in his head.

(Just so you know, Pelli speaks in purple (the more volatile side of her) Roko speaks in orange (her innocent persona) and when her speech is black, she is speaking as one.)

---

And for every lion in a foul mood there was one in a good mood. The rain had refreshed the land and filled it with a wet, earthy scent that filled her with delight. The world smelt so good after rain. The trees smelt alive. The grass glistened beneath skipping paws. The sky seemed lighter and without its usual troubles despite the clouds still lingering.

Rokopelli, smiling widely, moved eagerly across the land. She didn't bother to mask her appearance anymore - not since Pelli had taken over control of her actions. Once, long ago, when Roko had been in charge, the little Goddess had covered her immortality with a mortal body and lived as one of them. She had rejected her powers and had often wished for a simple, mortal life. Now, however, Pelli was not permitting her weaker half to think such things. Now she was practising her abilities of telepathy and telekinesis. And, above all, she never masked her wings - something that still made her other persona nervous.

"Should we really be walking about like this?" Roko squeaked.

"There's no one aroundses, weakling of mine. And, do you really think anyone can pose a threat to us? We've been practising. We're good."

Roko didn't reply and the Goddess moved on in silence, her wings slightly extended to aid her in her lope. Her fur was damp, but not drenched. Being small had its advantages and the little Goddess had managed to push into a hollow beneath a tree to keep herself from the worst.

"Pelli!!"

"What?"

"We're not alone!"

"I already told you!" She raised her voice as she argued with...herself? "We don't do hiding!" She lifted her wings up so they arched rainbows above her head and gave them a few experimental sweeps.

That was when she saw him.

"Oh..."

"Is it him? Is it him?"

"Who?"

"The bad one. The dark one who hurtses us before. Maybe we should goeses before he seeses us!"

Ears catching the sound of a voice, or something of a voice. There were more emotions behind it than one merely talking to itself. Curiosity pulled him out of his thoughts, the imminent need to dry his soaked fur forgotten for the moment. It would nag at him surely, but the approach of an equal was not something to ignore. As brash as he was with mortals, he knew that the gods stood on a much more equal ground with him.

His golden eyes narrowed on the colourful little form before him. He almost felt like he had seen her before, but not quite. Only the wings struck a chord with him, and even then he knew that there was more than one immortal with wings the colours of the rainbow.

"You've been spotted," he growled, wondering what the hell was going on. He didn't know of the internal battle of the other, and could only think that there was something else there, hiding. Another God, hiding from him somehow, where only the smaller goddess could see it.

Blasted things, making fun of him already! His mood grew darker as he glowered on, not foolish enough to rush into a situation that he was most surely outnumbered in.
PostPosted: Sun Nov 22, 2009 10:09 am

A confused look fell about her. Was it the one who had attacked her so long ago now? A time when she had been barely more than a cub? She remembered she had warned that golden one about him when they had met. What was his name, now? The one with cute golden hair. Even still, despite the fact that her memory was often foggy, she had a feeling that this was not the one who had hurt her.

The other one, though he had been dark of pelt...he'd had...different features. She was sure she would have remembered him instantly if she had seen him again.

"Shh." She said to Roko, not liking how her other half whimpered so. "It's not him. We don't--!"

And then he called out and she saw those narrowed, golden eyes looking straight at her. A part of her wanted to fall into the grass and back away. But Pelli couldn't do that. Not now when she was growing stronger. Besides, she didn't want this one to know that he might be intimidating her. So, ignoring the pleas of her more gentle side, she moved slowly towards the dark male, her head tilted slightly.

"Hello." The Goddess spoke to the larger male. She was not the greatest speaker around. "You look wet. You got caughtses in the rain?" She smiled a little. "Is that why you have a grumpy face, mister?"

He revolted looking directly at her as she grew closer, for his tired eyes could not seem to work around the intricate necklace around her neck. It was loud, confusing, and he wished to just rip it from his throat. The knowledge of knowing that he wasn't in a state to attack a god was the only thing that kept him from doing so. All the colours for some reason were not settling well within his mind. He snarled, his frustration half on the fact that he was cold and wet, and half because he had never run into a situation quite like this.

Supressing the odd urge as best he could, he let his wings droop, a little old rainwater dripping off of the edges. They swallowed the light that drifted on them, but his crimson coat plastered to his skin bounced off the light, and it was pretty obvious that he hadn't been able to find any sort of shelter besides his wings. And wings leaked.

"I don't know a single cat who likes rain," he replied with a sneer, shaking a paw as bits of mud flung back onto the ground. He had avoided using the term 'god', since there were certainly some that might like it, including Rain itself.

Rokopelli blinked, confused. He was growling and snarling as if he didn't want her there and yet he was speaking to her. He wasn't trying to attack her or drive her away. Perhaps growling, for this one, was not a sign of a threat? It was silly, of course, but Rokopelli had silly notions.

"We don't, either." She chirped, folding her wings in tightly to her sides and stepping forwards again, closing the gap between them that little bit further. "We don't much likeses the rain. We hid when the rains came. Kept dry. See?" And she waggled a paw at him with a grin on her face. "Or...wait...is liking the sea the same as liking the rain? It's still water, riiight?" She gave a little shrug. And then... "No, because we likeses the sea and we don't much likeses the rain. The sea is fun. Rain is...bleugh." She stuck out her tongue and lifted both ears a little.

Seemingly having answered her own question she sat neatly on the damp ground and curled her tail tightly up around her forepaws.

"Well seeing as you don't lookses like you're going anywheres, do you want to help us?" She smiled innocently. We're looking for someone, Roko and I."

"You never introduced us, Pelli!"

"Oh? Um...yep. We're Roko and Pelli. Um, Rokopelli if you want, but not Roko. Pelli is in charge now. So Pelli or Rokopelli. Who're you?"

He just...stared. There really wasn't anything else he could do. He had never met such an odd goddess. And he felt like he had validity saying that, since he had met quite a gaggle of goddesses.

So, he just stared until his mind could really process what she was saying, especially with her name. Why two names? There was...wait. Waaaait.

"You have a split personality," he mumbled, some of it making a little sense now. Just a little. She was still crazy, but then, at least it was a crazy he could label. He had only heard of something like this, and always thought it was a joke. This...this really was no joke.

Soaking coat forgotten, he furrowed his brows, but just for a moment. "Fine. Rokopelli." That was weeeird.

"Dath, Chaos," he grumbled, feeling odd offering his more mortal-given name rather than his domain, but if she wanted the first name, so be it.

If she noticed he was staring she didn't let on. Instead she continued smiling at him, her bi-coloured eyes sparkling oddly. She fluttered her wings as if contemplating moving closer, but hesitated, simply bouncing a little on the tips of her paws.

"A split...whatta?" She tilted her head. Despite the fact she had many friends (and even some enemies) no one had ever actually told her face-to-face what condition she had. Most had simply smiled and accepted it. Others had just not wanted to tell her, from spite or from simple lack of caring.

"Dath." She replied. "Okay! We're going to ask you a question now."

"Two questions." Roko intervened.

"Oh, um, yes..." Her ears dipped a little sheepishly. "First. What exactly...is...Chaos?" Her sentence ended with an embarrassed sort of smile. This question wasn't an unusual one for her. Most Gods and Goddesses she came across had domains she didn't understand. Rhetoric, for instance. How odd that she who led such a chaotic life did not even know its meaning.

"And secondly..."

"Shh, let him answer first question first!!"

She clamped her jaw shut.

He could already feel the tension in his head rising. There was something, though, that warned him to keep his patience. At least, whatever was left of it. Supressing the snarl at her (their?) question, he paused to really think on how to answer it. Chaos was something almost impossible to put words into, but at the same time easy to describe.

"Chaos is chaos. Negative emotions. Insanity, destruction. All the things that most mortals would consider 'wrong' or 'evil'." He paused, chewing on his explanation until it satisfied him. That would do. She'd probably just ask more questions if he didn't say something quite...correct.

He had taken a notice that she...they...whatever, didn't say what they were, either. Just their given name. He watched her carefully, wondering if it was on purpose that she kept it to herself, or merely an absence of mind.

No matter. She was confusing him enough as it was, perhaps he didn't want to know.

She blinked up at him, her expression confused. His powers were bad? Evil? But then...why was he so nice and friendly? That didn't really make any sense! Did that mean people stayed away from him? That must be a lonely life indeed. Poor thing!

She reached out to pat him sympathetically on a paw, her little face full of pity, now that she understood his predicament - or thought she did.

"Don't worry. We don't think you're evil. We're going to be your friend so you won't have to be lonely anymoreses."

She smiled a little then.

"Well then, our second question." She chirped, completely unfazed, it seemed, by what he was. "We're looking for a God of Healing. You met him...or her?"

Dath was taken back by what she said. Not touched no, Chaos surely was never touched by anything. But it was unexpected, and it made the corner of his mouth twitch just slightly. Well, at least not everyone thought he was such an evil, vile b*****d now.

He sniffed at the word friend, but didn't mention it. Friends were a completely different matter, but one that probably shouldn't be commented on to such an...interesting goddess. He didn't think she would quite understand that he didn't like having "friends", thank you.

"Healing? Mmm, no," he said with a shake of his head. Not that he really wanted to help her, but he wasn't lying when he admitted he didn't know. "All the gods I've come across have been nothing of the sort, and quite...little," he remarked, thinking about Rhetoric. So odd. Sometimes he felt like he was the only normal one, but then it was hard to settle on what was normal. "Though I might cringe at meeting such a god, so helpful and so opposite of what I adore..." His words drifted off, wondering just how a meeting like that would go. Not good, not good...his skin would surely crawl like it did whenever he was near his twin.

The little goddess blinked up at him, all innocent smiles. She could hold a grudge if such a thing was needed, but unless something drastic happened, she'd never think badly of anyone, whether they had a 'bad' domain or not.

Gods were what they were. They did not choose to be such.

"That's sad news." She replied, ears drooping a little. "Not many others seem to know him or her...no one we have seen, anyways..." And then she rocked back a little and tilted her head, looking somewhere between confused and amused.

"Silly! Why would you like unhelpful people? What if you needed help? Then no help to be foundses!" And she laughed then, lifting her wings a little as if not quite sure what her next course of action would be.

"Well, we're not Healing. We're Confusion. We'll be your friend, okay?"

Headache. He figured that the easiest way to get things going and along was just to agree. As she was confusing, as well as being Confusion.

"Er, well." Oh geez, was he really going to say this? Nah, he wasn't. He wouldn't help anyone else, cause damn if they would help him. Granted, the way that he wanted help was far from helping at all.

He smirked, his mind still thinking about 'help'. Mmm, he needed to get out, do a little killing here and there. Get himself back into feeling something. Not this blank, soft creature.

"Sure, let's be friends," he laughed, wondering if somehow later he'd be able to use it to his advantage. For now, though, it would merely be a small connection. "Sounds great."
PostPosted: Thu Mar 11, 2010 2:28 pm

Seeming more than happy with that, the adolescent goddess bounced merrily on the tips of her paws. "Yay! Okay, we're friends now, Mister."

And then she paused, tilting her head to the right and then to the left, as if listening to someone only she could hear.

"Oh, we best get going. He's waking up and'll be mad if we're not around. Gotses to find this Healing one. But we'll meet again someday, right? If we're friends and everything." She beamed and, with a few steps back, spread her rainbow-coloured wings wide and looked upwards. She paused to cast one last glance at her friend, unaware of what he truly was, unaware that he might not be the best friend to make.

"Goodbye Chaos!" She chirped, and then she was off, sweeping upwards into the never-ending sky.

He shook his head as she flew off, still mildly confused, yet amused at what had happened. There was enough there to keep him irritated, but not enough to make him really do anything about it.

He only hoped that he wouldn't have to run into her again. Else there'd be another headache coming on.

Clearing his mind of the following conversation, he pondered on what to do now. He still felt restless, and usually the only way to calm those nerves down was a good kill. With a little bounce in his step, he wandered off to find some poor soul to amuse himself with for a while.
