It was the weekend, a Saturday to be exact. Serah stood in the halls, looking a little troubled. Crystal Academy friends were out. Serah didn't want to ask them, considering she had barely any friends in that population of girls. Well, she didn't have any friends she knew how to contact, anyways. A search of the negaverse headquarters had turned up empty so far. Apparently Tanzanite or any other shopping buddy available was .. sadly not available. Rubbing her pink head in a tired manner, she wondered who else she could ask.

An idea struck her. It might seem presumptuous to ask, a lieutanent asking a corrupted senshi? But essentially, they were both girls. Another girl she could talk to, really. Serah wandered the halls, in search of the senshi of blond hair. Well, she might as well have that long hair as her sphere considering how long it was.

"Tiiiissiiiii~ Theresaaaa~" She called out, the nickname hadn't yet been confirmed if it was appropriate to Tisiphone or not, but she used it anyways. If she was lucky, Serah might be able to find her in these negaverse halls.

Theresa closed her eyes in irritation, taking a breath to look over at her keeper. Her arms were loaded with a myriad of papers that she had finished collecting and was on her way back to her desk for whatever secretarial duties awaited her. She didn't really care what she was called, for a name was just that: a name. What did bother her however was that the girl was using "Tisi" in conjunction with her "Theresa" self, hardly a nickname. Actually, she was just annoyed and picking on details just because she could.

"Come." Was all she said to the girl, walking into the office and setting the papers down. With that done she turned back to Serah and nodded, "Is this a matter of delicacy?" Referring to the Negaverse, of course.

Well, it didnt seem like Tisiphone was in the best of moods. Wait-- Theresa. Serah wasn't sure what to call her exactly. Nobody was around so did it really matter what name Serah called her? But no matter. Her mood would surely cheer up during shopping. After all, that seemed to be a universal cure for females across the world.

Serah took the question in a different manner than Theresa meant, moving the girl's papers to the side. "Of utmost delicacy." Her serios tone was solemn, she took Theresa's hand in her own and tugged the girl forward.

"I'm getting you out of this office. You can do the paperwork anytime. What you gotta focus on right now is the prom coming up!" Serah said firmly, her normally cheerful expression turned serious. "What we're doing is going to find you and me the perfect dresses for prom. I heard all of the negaverse are going so you gotta go too, okay Theresa?" Serah winked, deciding she would do whatever it took to drag Theresa out of work today.

Theresa leaned in when the other girl confirmed the matter, eager to hear news of the Negaverse. Was it a new mission? Could she go out and blow things up now?

She blinked and gave the other girl a stare, "The.. prom?"

It took her a moment to remember what it was, first, and that that is what the school had been buzzing about recently. She was about to hiss out a variety of angry retorts when the girl added that the Negaverse had to attend. So it was actually a plot? Theresa gritted her teeth and glowered. Well, Serah was her keeper after all, so she supposed the girl would have to know what the Negaverse was up to.

"I see." She took a deep breath, "Very well then. What manner of.. dress is required?"

To tell the truth, Serah knew nothing of negaverse plots. She was hardly in on these things but what she did know, was the the negaverse was attending. As for the plots Theresa was thinking.. Well, Serah would of had no clue what she was talking about.

"Well, that's what we're gonna find, right?" Serah asked, taking the time to step back and look at Theresa critically. "Not a black dress though. You have far too much black clothes already. Today, we're working on finding the perfect color for you." She scanned Theresa up and down, before starting to walk out of the door.

"Let's go to the mall. My chauffeur is parked out front so we can get there quickly." Serah tipped her head towards the entrance of the building, holding up her fancy credit card decorated with a bunny design. "We're going all out today in shopping. Unless of course.. You want to charge it to the General King's expenses?" Serah asked with a mock facade of innocence, thinking that was a good idea to try out.

Theresa's eyes narrowed. She hadn't really been into fashion before, but suddenly it was of the utmost importance, "What's wrong with black? It's a representation of my abilities, and thusly of myself. Are you saying there is something wrong with me?" It was hard to tell if she was teasing or if she was actually angry.

Pale, slender fingers massaged the temples of her forehead and with a sigh Theresa resigned, "For the Negaverse. Lead the way."

Following the other girl out, Theresa arched a brow as she peered over at the credit card, "Isn't he on a teacher's salary? I hardly doubt there's much to charge."

"Well, neither of us can deny that black looks great on you." Serah pointed out in a cheerful manner but continued on. "But it's a prom. Wear something different for a change? I'm sure there are other colors that look great on you." After all, with those tall looks and blond hair, Serah was sure they would find something for Theresa. Theresa's next line was a little confusing, although Serah didnt question it. For the negaverse? .. Huh. What did she mean by that? Perhaps Charonite had assigned a mission for the prom?

The question of Charonite's amount of money.. Well, he was a teacher. Serah doubted he got that much as well."Well, that's a shame. Consider this a gift from a friend then. No, not from your negaverse keeper because that makes things far too formal between us." Serah said firmly, the driver walked out of the car to open to the door to let the two females into the plush back seats.

A few minutes later, they were parked in the mall, the two girls stood outside the car, Serah assigned directions for her driver to pick her up when she called. Equipped with her small bunny purse and her cell phone, Serah eagerly pointed to the mall.

"Let's go!"

Mildly appeased at Serah's attempts to divert the attention of the color black, Theresa gave a shrug. Dark eyes watched the world fly by as they sat in the vehicle, wondering what the heck she was supposed to wear to this.. prom.

"Friends?" Theresa arched a brow. She supposed she was supposed to feel all warm and gooey, but there wasn't even a flicker. It was almost sad that she figured she wasn't capable of such emotions towards anything but the Negaverse. She decided not to pursue the subject and mearly stepped out of the car in silence, watching as the driver nodded to Serah and drove away then.

"So.." She gritted her teeth, suddenly uncomfortable, "How do we go about these.. dresses?"

"Through the manual way. Theresa. Get ready for a day of walking and changing rooms. Although, from your words, I'm guessing this is your first time shopping since joining the -- ahem-- group?" She avoided saying any direct words to any ears that might be within range of listening.

"We go into stores all over this insanely large mall and find a dress that best suits you." Serah said the simple explanation as if it was nothing although the mall loomed over them with dozens of stores to their side. She walked towards the nearest store, gesturing for Theresa to follow as Serah lifted up a dress, holding it upwards as it to picture it on the long blond girl.

"Hm. Not quite." She busily looked through racks, pointing Theresa towards a different rack. "Pick a dress that catches your eye and we'll see how it looks. There's gotta be a perfect dress in this mall." Serah said critically, fingering the soft fabric of a pink dress. Hmm. Too casual. This one was too flashy. Ugh, what were they thinking, designing this dress?

Theresa's arms lay dead at her sides as she watched Serah begin to tackle the mass amount of dresses. She had to go through a whole rack? Heaving a mighty sigh, the girl reached forward and pulled off a dress that looked like it had fallen right off a dead animal. Dark eyes peered outside the little shop and noticed there was another clothing shop right across the way. She blinked, leaning out the door. And another shop.. and another.. and another..

"There.. is no quicker way, is there.."

How Serah wished there was a quick way for dress shopping. But the long hours only made the result more satisfying. "You'd think online shopping is better but it's worse. You can't actually see how the material or the colors work for you." She sighed, obviously determining that this store was entirely worthless.

"What a useless store." She said darkly, frowning at the lack of finesse the store had. They traversed several more stores before Serah's stomach started to growl, her brown eyes looking sheepishly downwards. "Hey Theresa, up for some food?" She pointed towards the food court, the variety of restaurants had to have one that suited both of their tastes. "I'll admit, all this walking and searching knows how to wipe out a girl." Serah's feet would love a break from the constant flitting throughout the stores.

By the time Serah called for a time out, Theresa was suitably dazed. She stood beside the girl much like a zombie with visions of dress after dress rolling on mile long racks popping up in her head. Who the heck would subject themselves to this kind of torture?

"Food.." She parroted, then it registered in her mind: Not a dress! "Oh yes, food! Lets!" This was perhaps her most energetic statement ever made since her rebirth. Theresa hadn't ever been a huge fan of food. It was a simple necessity that she would partake in when she felt the need. Today, however, it was a savior. She grabbed the shorter girl's hand and pulled her along (having learned early that it was easy to lose one another in a crowd, and there was no way she was going to be stranded here of all places) until her nose led them to the food court. "Let us feast on.." Dangit, there was more than one food store here too, "On.. food."

If they lost each other in the crowd, Serah was sure she could find the taller female. She just wasn't sure if Theresa could find her. Understanding Theresa's pause at the massive amount of food stores around here, Serah imagined it would overwhelm any new person. Fortunately, Serah was all too used to it.

They stood at the entrance of the food court, hand-in-hand amongst the crowds. She looked around in distaste at the 'popular' places that seemed filled to the brim with people, a slight frown crossed her face. "Disgusting." All those greasy foods and messy eaters... Her mouth curled in distaste as a man walked past them, shoving them to the side.

Her hand linked with Theresa's, pulling her off to the side. She pulled her away from all the mixed smells of the food court, leading Theresa to a less populated restaurant off to the side. "Much better." She said to herself in satisfaction, tipping her head towards Theresa. "Is this okay with you? They get the food fast and it'll be a lot more comfortable here." She glanced outside at the people who walked past. "Besides, we don't have to go through the mall population to get our food. Best part, riiiiiight?"
PostPosted: Thu Nov 26, 2009 4:15 pm

Theresa glowered with a Medusa-like quality at the man who had rudely brushed them to the side, "Can I please shoot just one void off? Just one, it'll only take out a quarter of the people, they probably won't even notice it."

She let the other girl lead her through the maze of a human swamp, relieved when they found the less populated area, "This is fine. Any food of healthy substance will be acceptable." Theresa gave a wave and sat down at what looked like the cleanest table, showing that she wasn't going to even try to put up with the lines, even if they were only two people long in this area. The temptation to blast holes through all their heads was mighty strong. She rubbed her forhead, chanting to herself that food was good and a quick dress would be fine and the peace and quiet dark hole of the Negaverse would be even better once they got home.

"I wonder if we can finally take on.." Dark eyes looked suspiciously around, "Our opponents.. at this prom."

"Oh, how I wish I could say yes. But you don't want to delay your meal, do you?" Serah chuckled, pulling Tisiphone away, not bothering with the rude man. "We'll wreak havoc some other time. Although I'm thinking, the mall is a really good place to do it. When we're both not starving and tired." Serah pointed out, an amusing image of a hoard of panicked people running through the mall flashed briefly in her mind.

She sat on the table, accompanying Theresa. "Considering that most of the negaverse will be there.. and undoubtedly, most of the senshi... Who knows?" She said softly, nobody in sight to hear their conversation. "One thing's for sure. It'll be a fun prom if we all come out. Then again, one normal night of dancing won't hurt us." She ended the conversation with a gesture of dismissal, waving the waiter towards their table. "But since we're here, let's order and eat. Afterward, I'm pretty sure I got the perfect store in mind for both of us."
