Okay, so I work out at least 3 times a week and i eat healthy foods. I usually work out for about an hour to an hour and a half every time i go to the gym. I even portion off my food. I don't understand why I see no results. I've been doing this since June.
Why no results??

What is your current height and weight? How many calories a day are you eating? What kind of exercise do you do when you go to the gym?

It's tough. There are lots of things that can co-opt your weight loss. One is killing your metabolism by not eating enough, another is getting used to the work outs you're doing. What do you do when you work out? Is it the same thing every time?

You're about exactly where I am hovering at.
My guess is that you've pushed your metabolism down and that you'll seriously need to start eating more.
To maintain your weight at a regular metabolic rate, you would need to eat 1968ish calories a day with *no* exercise. With light exercise, 1-3 days per week, you'd eat 2250 per day and never gain weight again.
To lose one pound a week, keeping up your exercise, you should eat 1750ish calories per day. That's as many calories as someone who is 100 lbs eats at your (and my height) and at your activity level. If you want to be 100 lbs, that's what you would eat. Not saying that 100 lbs is attainable for you. If you wanted to be 120, you would eat closer to 1900 calories per day.

This is the BMR calculator I use, and I use it because it factors in exercise as well as tells you how much to eat when you want to lose weight.
I would note that if you're not losing weight and are eating just 13-1400 calories a day, that you should really eat more, when you eat that little you push your body into starvation mode and it just stores the food you eat as fat without properly metabolizing it.
Check out Fat2Fit radio, you can download it from iTunes, or other podcatchers. They have a lot of great info about metabolism and losing weight forever.

Then the calories won't change too much if they change at all, I added in your weight and height at my age (22), but just add in 20 for your age. You're almost there. The younger you are, chances are you should actually be eating *more* calories than someone my age. Basically even 1500 calories per day is unhealthy. That's the kind of calorie restricting you see from the major diets, and really those don't work too well in the long run. North America doesn't have a weight loss problem. People can lose 20 lbs in no time. We have a weight maintenance problem. How often do you hear people complaining that they lost X amount of weight at one time or another but have since gained much of it back? It's because of those diets. Another good link for you will be Fat2Fit radio, they're very great hosts and they have *so* much information. Both of them have lost a great deal of weight, and one of them is now a personal trainer while the other one is still trying to lose weight. (though I shouldn't say trying, because he has a weight loss almost *every* week. Sometimes he plateaus for a few weeks but he rarely gains it back, and it's because he follows his own advice. http://www.fat2fitradio.com/The other thing I love is that they debunk rumors and reference actual studies and have excellent guests sometimes.

Have you tried measuring your waist, thighs, chest etc rather than just your weight? Exercise mean increased muscle mass which weighs more than fat.

Crazy Cat Reincarnated Have you tried measuring your waist, thighs, chest etc rather than just your weight? Exercise mean increased muscle mass which weighs more than fat. well i cant really gain more muscle in most areas. my legs for example are near being pure muscle and always have been. so nothing happens to them.

Hun its always going to be hard. It could be the water weight that is on here. It will all come off sooner or later. Just really break a sweat and get away from sweets and breads. Breads always sit heavy.
You must remember that you have to cut back your food alot but get more through out the day. Some breakfeast, small snack, small lunch, small snack, small dinner. That should be able to help you if you do that. If you wait for just lunch, or dinner with out anything your body will starve and will hold all the fat it could get.
That has been drilled into my head for EVER. Maybe that can help you.

It's the same if you don't eat enough throughout the day. 1500 calories is a diet. 1800-1900 calories is a life plan, and you're still going to lose weight.
