Ok well im having a bit of trouble here. I have searched every book and internet source for the fishes that i have found and cannt find them. They are about two inches long, have orange on the pelvic and dorsal fins, a occelated spot at the base of the tail and i blackish brown stripe down the center. So far i have only seen them in a small streatch if stream maybe 20 feet long meaning that it could have the most restricted range of any animal known( and yes i have checked up and downstream many times but have not seen them anywhere but the small stretch.) They were found in a backwater stream that is completely cutoff from any body of water. Please somone help me find out if this is a new species( or subspecies)!!!
