Haruko entered the classroom and plopped herself down on the teacher's chair before glancing up at the clock. 'Seems I'm fairly early today, it seems I still have about 7 minutes before the class offically starts.' Reaching into one of her many pouches, Haruko took out a scroll on taijutsu and began reading.

Haruko looked up from her scroll when she heard the sound of someone coming through the door and smiled. Placing the scroll back into her pouch, she got up and walked up to the newcomer, "Good morning, and don't worry you're just in time. Haruko Tsubame, and I'm one of your instructors for the duration of your time in the academy. Pleasure to meet you." Haruko extended her right hand for Hibiki to shake.

Hibiki looked down at the fallen man. "Aah, um, hi. I'm Hibiki. Nice to meet the both of you." Hibiki's confused expression turned to concern. "Um, are you going to be okay?"

"What?...Me? Kenji said through exasperated breaths on the ground, still not moving at all..."This is nothing, everyday wear and tare..." Kenji made some kind of attempt to move, leaning up ever so slightly before falling back down to the ground, his body not quite ready to allow him to move yet. As he watched Haruko smile with an amused look on her face, he responded to her question jokingly...

"Yeah, yeah...they're just jealous that they can't enter a room as awesomely as I can. I would grab your hand Haruko and bow to you Hibiki, but well...ya know, the window and all. My name is Kenji by the way... " Kenji said as he lifted his head slightly off the floor to look at Hibiki..."I'm the class' other sensei." Dropping his head back down to look up at Haruko as she continued to smile victoriously over him, he allowed a small grin to come to his face as he looked upward at her..."Might wanna start this one without me love, this might take a few seconds."

Kenji waited for Hibiki to leave the room and work on his assignment before responding to Haruko, at which point he got up effortlessly in a kip-up as if he had been in no pain at all. "My, my, aren't we sensitive this morning? Well, it was my understanding that it was not too uncommon to refer to a woman in that way without expressing anything like that in particular, but then again, I tend to be a little slow in understanding the nuances of your language, so if you would rather me not call you that, I wont."

"Besides..." Kenji said as he got a curious grin on his face and sat in the teacher's chair, leaning back as he put his feet up on the desk, with his hands behind his head..."I didn't know you were being so conscious of such a thing. Is there a certain single person in our lovely village that you would not want to misunderstand your availability?"

"Rumors, I've heard about those!" Kenji said with a bit of excitement as continued to recline, shifting his feet and the chair to face Haruko as she moved to the board, "I read about them in a book.", he said triumphantly. "Such a strange concept, spreading news about someone even though it isn't true, or based on nothing but observation without fact or direct knowledge. That and lying, I can't believe how often people do it outside of the forest. I have found that to be the hardest thing to deal with since I left home, I've even had the misfortune of learning the hard way that people outside the forest don't always mean what they say."

Kenji continued to recline, his eyes now fixed on the ceiling, a glazed expression came over him as he recalled his travels and the forest of his people as he began thinking about them again. "Back home, we are all tied together. The trees, the plants, the people...we constantly feel what everyone else is feeling. We can't read their specific thoughts, but who needs to when you are empathically tied to their emotions? When my father was angry with me, I knew it. When I was happy, he knew it. There was no point in doing anything but saying what was true. Even though I would often bite my tongue when speaking with the elders, I could not hide my feelings against them and their decisions, and it led to my need to leave."

"I think that has been one of the hardest things for me, not being able to tell what others are thinking or feeling, and not knowing if others understand how I'm feeling towards them or a situation." Coming out of his dream state, Kenji looked back to Haruko and smiled warmly, "I guess that's why I smile all the time now; Just to make sure people know how I feel."

Haruko nodded in response to Kenji's statement and just as she completed her writing, she heard Hibiki renter the room. Turning towards the door, she gave him a small smile. "Welcome back, Hibiki-kun."

After listening to his explaination Haruko gave him a small nod of approval, "Good job Hibiki-kun, very informative and well organized. Now then, on to you're next assignment." Haruko motioned for Hibiki to walk up to the board she was previously writing on. "Before you start this part of the lesson, I'll be needing a copy of your profile from you. This is so that while you're replying to this," She pointed to the writing on the board, "we can look it over and give comments where nessary."

Moving to the side of the board so that Hibiki could get a clearer view of what was written on it, the following message was written in white chalk near the top of the wall.

Hibiki was casually strolling around the town when he suddenly spotted a person running out of a nearby store carrying a sack of loot and the owner calling out for help from the enterance of the store. "Help, thief! Someone catch him, please! He robbed some very important jewels from my store!"
