Chivosi attempted to keep hold o the squirming bundle between her paws, the brown and white female kept squirming away in an attempt to escape her cleaning and Chiv gave a little sigh as she was once more forced to grab the bounding pup by the scruff and pull her back. "Now just hold still Aleu, you can go and play with your siblings afterwards" she scolded the little female lightly - although Chiv wasn't really very good with scolding and her voice didn't have near the threat to it required to make the pup think she was actually being fussed at.
Aleu had been the last to be so cleaned and Chiv knew she was eager to run off and play with her siblings in the corner here they were crawling over top of their father, she couldn't really blame the little pup - she expected she'd rather be playing then getting ab at too if it came right down to it.

Aleu continued to struggled against her mother for a bit but then finally submitted to the cleaning. Though she lay still now her eyes were glued to where he other siblings were playing. She really did want to join them, it looked like fun to be climbing all over their father. She sighed a bit and turned her gaze to her mother. Her paw began to twitch a bit as her mother continued licking all the dirt off the young pup. At first the twitching was quite random, as it was more related to her mother licking a ticklish spot, but then it slowly began to become more consistent and held a pattern to it. Between her paw twitching and her mothers licking she soon found a bit of a song in her head and she hummed along to it. Her eyes sparkled with happiness as she made her song, looking to her mother for her approval of the rhythm.

Chivosi was quite prepared for a long squirming battle with Aleu "You know this will go allot faster if you just settle down' she told the young pup and it seemed Aleu finally agreed because she settled nicely right afterwards...or maybe it was just her attention was diverted as she began to hum a strange little rhythm in time to a little drumming beat with her paws.
"Well at least I know I named you right" She told the pup as she glanced up "It sounds very nice" As the young female was grew it was becoming quickly obvious that Chiv had not been imagining the musical quality about Aleu "Though I certainly don't know where you got it from nether your father or i can carry a tune" She remarked with a chuckle "Must have been your grandparents"

Her eyes lite up more as Chiv declared the song to be good. It was always nice to know that she was doing a good job with her songs. She continued to hum for a bit longer as she listened to her mother. She stopped at the mention of her grandparents, she had not met those wolves yet. "Could they sing?" She asked in her melodic voice.
Though she could hear her siblings off in the corner playing she was quite content to stay where she was. It was nice to have alone time with her mother. She moved around a bit, not in an attempt to get away, but merely to shuffle her body closer to her mothers, her little tag wagging with happiness.

Chiv thought about the pups question for a few moment's, casting her mind back to the time when she had been young and sitting much like Aleu was now with her own mother. "Well, I do recall my mother singing me lullaby's now and again when I was a pup' She answered - though weather they had been particularly musically inclined she couldn't really remember 'They sounded aright to my own puppy ears" She continued with a slight chuckle as Aleu shuffled closer to her.
"I'm not sure about your fathers parents...I never met them, but perhaps you can ask him sometime" She told the little pup as she cast a cheery look to Mene before looking back down at Aleu "Perhaps you are the first of our lines to be so talented"

Her ears flicked a bit at the thought of being the only musical one in her family. That would be great. She could sing songs when she was older to entertain her siblings as well as the pack. "Can you teach me those lullaby's sometime? I would like to know them."
She had a slight smile on her maw, the idea of learning new songs made her happy. Although making up her own songs was also a good way to pass the time. "I like being talented." She stated. As far as she could tell being talented was a good thing. But it made her wonder, were there others in the pack that could sing, she hoped not, that would only create some competition. "Can the others in the pack sing?" She asked almost worried about what the answer will be.

"Of course I will" Chiv promised the young female, of course she would have to recall them all first - but she didn't think that would be to terribly hard if she actually sat down to think about it for a bit. It had just been a long time since she'd had to worry about something like lullabys.
Her thoughts then turned to the rest of the pack - could any of them sing?well maybe a few of them could give it a go but she'd certainly never heard them try to before, and the thought of Pekko,Merrill and Edgar singing was a little bit funny really - Lullaby certainty had a pretty sounding voice but Chiv doubted he could sing with his jaw mishealed the way it had. "No i don't really think they can - or at least I've never heard them try to" she finally answered.

"Good." She replied as her mother stated that as far as she knew none of the other wolves could sing. That made her feel special. Crawling to her feet she stood proudly in front of her mother. "I will sing to all of them when I am older." She would be the packs little performer. Yes, she liked the sounds of that.
Pausing she listened to the other noises in the den, her siblings playing on the other side, the wind as is blew by outside, even the breathing of her and her mother. Everything had a rhythm to it, some worked better than others. She ran around her mother as she lay there, finding herself suddenly full of energy. All these rhythms and musical patterns excited her. As she ran she hummed a little tune to the beat of her feet hitting the ground. It was good to be musical, she thought, very good.

"I'm sure they'll enjoy that" She told the little pup as she declared her intention to sing to the rest of the pack - and Chiv would ensure they all sat down to listen too. If her little girl wanted an audience then by golly Chiv would make sure she had one, and it was nice to know that Aleu planned to stick around when she got older - oh she might change her mind of course and Chiv wouldn't stand in her way if she did...but it was still a nice thought for the moment, that her children would stay here with her forever..where it was safe.
She watched as her daughter raced about her singing yet another tune - she had no idea where Aleu came up with some many songs but chiv liked the sound of all of them - of course that could just be a mothers pride speaking too it was hard to say sometimes.

She stopped her running, choosing now to jump onto her mothers back. She rolling around in her mothers soft fur. "Do you think they will like my singing?" The idea of someone not liking her singing was just silly. Surely the others would enjoy it as much as her mother did.
"How did singing start?" She asked while laying on her back, her head resting against the back of her mothers neck. She was full of questions today but what was to be expected, she was new to the world and there were so many things she wanted to know, especially if it had to do with music."Do you think there are packs out there that have only singers in them? Can other animals sing?"

"Of course they will" Chiv responded without questioning the answer - why Aleu was part of the Packs first litter, they would be the darlings of the pack and she was sure that anything they did would be enjoyed by all. They would always hold a special place in her heart at the very least - and she was sure the same could be said for Mene.
As Aleu seemed to tire herself and lay back Chiv thought for a moment that she might be able to catch a nap with her daughter - but alas it as not to be Aleu began to spout off questions Chiv had no idea how to answer...how did singing start? she had absolutely no idea..and Packs..maybe? here were many packs with many beliefs out there after all..the third question at least she had somewhat of an inkling about.
"Well dear I'm not sure really how singing started, perhaps while telling stories someone just decided they would be better remembered if they went along with a bit of a tune" she suggested , she wasn't sure if it was the right answer but it sounded plausible. "There are many packs out there in the lands of Telk and many different customs. perhaps you should ask others in the pack if they have heard of such a place, some of them have traveled many more places in their lives then I have" she answered before continuing on with the third question "Well I expect they do yes..birds most certainly sing to one another and I have heard of a Fox that sings as well."

She thought for a moment. "I could sing them a song about the pack. They will definitely like that." But first she would need to learn more about the pack, like remembering the names of all the members. Maybe also how they came to join the pack. She would ask her father about that some time and perhaps he would have a good story to tell her as well.
Her paws flopped about as her mother did her best to explain how singing came about. What she said sounded pretty good. It could be true. She perked up a bit at the mention of other packs possibly full of musical members. "I should like to meet them one day." She stated, not that she had any intention of leaving the pack anytime soon. But the idea of meeting other wolves who's lives revolved around music would be quite a special thing indeed. "Maybe one day I will travel to their lands and sing with them."
Ah yes birds did indeed sing. She had heard them many times. Their songs were always so beautiful. Her tail flicked a bit. "A singing fox? Oh that would be fun to see. Do you think one day I could meet that fox?"

"Well yes everyone does like to be mentioned in things like that, makes them feel special" Chiv agreed as her daughter spoke of composing a song about the pack "and perhaps it will be a nice tale to pass along to future generations" She continued after a few moments.
"when you are older you will be more then welcome to go in search of them" Chivosi promised her daughter "Both the pack and the Fox. though I do hope that you will return home at least once in a while during your travels"

Aleu nodded in agreement that being mentioned makes on feel special. At least that's how she felt when others talked about her. The idea of her songs being passed on to future generations made her feel happy. She would certainly be remembered for her songs.
"Do you think they are far away?" She asked about the packs and the fox. She wasn't really sure how big this world was that she lived in. "I would hate to never find them." She turned her head to the side so that she could look at her mother better while still laying on her back. "I would come home mother. To sing you songs about the things I have seen and the wolves and other creatures that I met." She snuggled against her mothers fur. "I promise."

"That is good Aleu...I think I would miss you greatly if you were gone for too long" She told the little wolf before dipping her head to nuzzle her for a moment while she considered the rest of her questions. lifting her head once more she looked down at her daughter for a few moments. "Well...I can't say for sure, no doubt it it more then a few days travel and Telk is a very large land but if you put your mind to finding something then I have no doubts that you will do so" She told her with a brief smile.
