alright, I don't know if this is the right place, but it seems like it'd be the best place because of what it pertains to.
I'm trying to write a story, but I'm at a bit of a standstill. It's at a point where one of the characters is addicted to depressants, which at this point have been unspecified, and that the addiction had some rather bad effects on her mentally and possibly physically. I was wanting to delve into that previously glossed over section of her life, but don't know how.
I've only dealt with stimulant addiction, and a relatively mild one at that, so I'd like to ask my fellow guild members for help in identifying some of the behaviors that can manifest during, or because of, addictions such as this
thanks in advance

I have some notes from my substance misuse class this year. If you can't find what you're looking for on Google, message me after Wednesday and I'll give you the information I have. smile

Sorry, I never saw this thread. Antidepressant addictions are most certainly something I know about. Seems Niko has it covered though. I will say though for me, it did bring on numerous migraine headaches, a lot of depressive moments and a constant thought of hatred toward myself. so much so that I have pretty much sworn off any and every form of addiction, or un natural substance away from taking prescribed doses.

Alakoompahed thanks Niko, it seems nobody else either can or will give me a hand. I'm sorry, that might be due to me. I think not long after you made your thread, I uploaded some articles and your thread got knocked off the preview screen. sad
