Duchess was making her first ever trek out to this land, they called the Quirne. She had long thought about this magical place, or at least, in her mind she saw it as magical. She wanted to go and see the water stretch before her forever, she wanted to see the glistening reflection of her face in it's watery lands no matter which direction she looked. She envisioned it to be a place of a million reflections, and when she got there, she was not disappointed. Her mind's eye had seen truth.
The grey Bae was just then, looking into a puddle at her feet. Bright blue eyes stared back at her, blinking when she did, in this wet surface at the base of a tree. So intense was her staring into her own reflection, that her head drifted closer and closer to the tree until it finally hit with a soft 'thud'. She drew back and shook her head, taking a pace or two backwards. She kept her eyes closed a moment, for even though the collision had not hurt, it had jumbled her thoughts and she had completely forgotten what she had been doing.
