All the cubs except Mizer had gone with Rahvu, Pilates lion mate, on a field trip to the local lake. Mizer stayed behind with Pilate as a punishment for sneaking off in the middle of the night. He hadn't been to happy at all about being punished and still was a ball of grumpy fur.
He sat by his mother and stared off at the horizon where his brothers and sister had disappeared with Rahvu. Part of him was hoping Rahvu would come back for him but he knew that wasn't the case.
Pilate sighed, she really hated to punish her cub for sneaking off. After all she had taken care of her self when she was his age and survived. Thank god she had found a big sister to take care of her.
"Don't look so gloom Mizer. " She nuzzled the grumpy ball of fluff. He didn't hate Pilate , how could anyone? But he was highly annoyed and did not want her nuzzling him right now.
"What ever.." The cub muttered.

Po: It had been awhile since Mauja had come back to these lands. He had made a little venture a few moons ago, to see an old flame, but found nothing but her genes running around. Their genes. It was kind of creepy, actually. But whatever the case, he had decided to go back to the area, to at least see if the creature he had come for last time was somewhere lurking.
His orange eyes flicked around, and he lazily glanced around, checking to see if she was around. He only hoped that she was this time, and he didn't have to hold a discussion with a small cub by himself. It was a hard thing, and he could barely do it with his own cubs.
Chobi: Pilate was frowning. Mizer really seemed upset that he couldn't go with the others. But what was she supposed to do? The mother purred and rubbed her head to his.
"It'll be alright. You'll see," She purred. Mizer just sat there and let her coddle him. His dark cloud wasn't going any where.
That was until a familiar scent caught his nose. The scent caught Mizer before Pilate. The boy was much more serious then his mother had ever been and was on constant alert unlike his mother.
"Some ones here.." The tone was hushed but not afraid. A growl rattled in the little fuzz balls throat. Pilate looked up wide eyed. She didn't see anyone. Strange.

Po: Mauja almost overlooked the brightly colored pair as his eyes gazed around. They quickly flicked back, realizing that there was a lime green and bright blue and white mass of fur just yards away from him. His own fur blended well with the scenery, so it wasn't surprising that the others didn't spot him immediately. He had nothing flashy on his pelt, either, to help show him off. Not that he really needed it to get attention.
With a deep breath, Mauja finally decided to go over and talk to her. It had been awhile, and he could obviously see that her mate wasn't with her; that was always good. It avoided a really awkward conversation.
His paws began to move forward, and he slowly trotted over to the two others, his head bobbing slightly as he went.
Chobi: Pilate didnt notice the brown cheetah until he started on his way over toward her and Mizer. A smile blossomed on her face, she knew this cheetah. Mizer didn't smile but the growl disappeared. Always a good sign concidering Mizer wasn't the kindest of souls all the time.
"Mauja," Pilate got up and ran over to him like the playful cat she was. "Mauja ! I haven't seen you in so so long! How are you?" The cheetah pawed at him.
Mizer wasn't surprised by his mothers childish behavior. After all she raised him. The blue cheetah sat back and observed the two.

Po:"Pilate, my love, how have you been?" He leaned down, nuzzling the smaller cheetah. She had grown since he last saw her, but not in the 'getting fat' way that she had before. No, she was maturing into a full-fledged adult now. For a few moments, she almost looked older than Mauja himself. Her actions quickly dissuaded any of those thoughts, though.
His eyes rolled over down to where the smaller blue cub sat on the ground. "And who's this little guy?" He winked, remembering their secret meeting the last time he came through the area.
Chobi: The wink went over the female cheetahs head. She hadn't really noticed it. Mizer did and gave Mauja a curt nod from behind his mother. He wasn't gonna tell Pilate he'd met this cheetah once before.
"Oh this cub? This is Mizer." She motioned with her paw to the blue cub.
Mizer rolled his eyes but gave Mauja a small smile. "Nice to meet you.." He grumbled.
"He's a sweetheart really..." Pilate nodded at mizer smiling.

Po: "Oh? So he's been taking good care of you, hm?" His tail circled loosely around one of Pilate's ankles, stroking it gently as he stared down at the small cub, analyzing him.
"Nice to meet you, kid." He smiled, his grin short and then turned his head towards Pilate. "Well, what have you been doing, my dear?"
Chobi: "I been training these cubs to go fight that cursed cheetah. " She grinned. Pilate was so proud of her self. It made her feel grown up to be training her cubs, even though she was pretty childish.
Mizer cleared his throat, finally a topic he had interest in, "Yeah. I'm the best of course." The cheetah sat up looking refined and warrior like. Pilate couldn't help but snicker a little. Mizer was just to cute when he tried to act tough.
"Yeah, all of them are good," She smiled up at Mauja, "What about you ? What sort of adventures have you been on?"

"Are you now? I'm glad." Grinning, Mauja found it kind of funny. Though, fighting could really be a good skill, especially for a cheetah. "A cursed cheetah, you say?" Thinking back, Mauja had met a cursed cheetah, and she had seemed very obsessed with fighting. She had actually really rubbed him the wrong way, and he had lashed out at her, but he still felt that she had deserved it.
"I'm glad you've got some little ones to take care of you. Not that your boy wouldn't." He winked, vaguely remembering the male in her life.
"I've been....well, you know what I do." He couldn't help but bust out laughing at his own remarks.

Pilate smiled at that wink and blushed a little. It was true she had a male lion in her life that took good care of her and her cubs. They were a very happy family all of them. One day she'd have cubs with him. One day.
Mizer tilted his head, "What is it that you do." He was blunt.
Pilate couldn't help but chuckle.

Not really wanting to answer the young cub's question directly, Mauja desperately tried to think of something else to say. He couldn't help but chuckle, though, remembering when he was a young cub and girls had cooties.
"I make others feel good." Leaning down, that's the answer he settled on. He wasn't overly specific, and if the cub asked for a more specific answer, he'd probably just ignore it.

Mizer lifted a brow, "Why bother doing that. Thats stupid," He huffed. It seemed like a waste of time to the self absorbed cub.
Pilate shook her head and gave Mauja a warm smile. "It was nice to see you again. I think I need to take cranky here to nap. You take care of your self Mauja," She gave him another warm smile before dipping her head down and picking her fire cracker of a sun up.
It had been nice to see him again, the father of her cubs.

"Well, little boy, you'll understand one day." Raising back up, he returned his gaze to Pilate. He hoped that the little cub wouldn't be anything like him, because even he wasn't too fond of his lifestyle.
"It was nice to see you, darling. I'm glad things are going so well for you." His eyes trailed off, trying to think of where he'd go after this. "Thank you, love. I'll try not to get myself into too much trouble." Smirking, he turned and started off in his own direction, fairly uncertain as to where exactly he'd go now.
