Vampires, dark creatures of myth and legend that thrive on blood and, supposedly, are fiction. People ignorant of mind fail to see the truth. They think that vampires are purely imaginative nightmares dreamt by smaller ones, the fools. Tales told by parents to their children to scare them and keep them out of places they shouldn't venture. Humans are natural born idiots. They ignore those that shouldn't be ignored or merely brushed off and forgotten. Beneath the human's very noses, we have been lurking and hunting them, merging ourselves into the very crowds that wander the streets. Beneath their noses, we have existed.

By nature, humans are afraid of things they don't understand and/or things they can't see. They revert to primal instincts whenever something their primitive intelligence can't comprehend presents itself. And when the lycan and were races disappeared from the face of the Earth, humans were named the culprit. The other races thought humans were ready. They thought humans could take their existence. Well, they fooled themselves and were hunted and mercilessly executed. Through the years, other paranormal races have been found and and birthed the same idiotic thoughts, only to be wiped out in the same manner as the rest.

Its been a total of 200 years, and the vampire race is the last.

My kind, since the birth of our race, saw humans for what they really are: destructive machines bent on destroying the Earth. "If the Earth dies, the humans die. If humans die, the Earth survives." Or so a movie, The Day the Earth Stood Still, mentioned.

Several hundred years ago, or thousands really, when nymphs and vampires were the last ones left, a group of vampires split from the main clan. Over time, that handful of vampires grew large enough to start a war. They started it alright...by attempting to assassinate the 2 leaders before me.

Vampires have been hiding. Not so much fearful, though cautious. We aren't what fables depict us to be. We can walk in sunlight, given the right protection: sun block. We don't shape shift into bats, mist, or whatever else. And we don't turn into butt ugly critters with no noses and the intelligence that rivals that to an early cave man. If eaten, garlic gives us bad breath. If splashed with holy water, we get wet. Crucifixes do not harm us in anyway, though it's funny to react when faced with one. The myth that we can't cross running water is a stupid, silly myth. The legend that we sleep in coffins is absurd also. Have you ever heard of Claustrophobia? Yeah, vampires have it too. We prefer cryogenic freezers or beds, depending on the person. A stake to the heard causes paralysis. Holy grounds are just dirt and do not affect us. Any other legend that I missed is simply that: a myth. There are two; maybe three ways to kill a vampire, but you can figure that out by yourselves.

Humans...there are few who know of our existance. There are the few that take up weapons against us...the flame throwers, swords taken from their vampiric kills...they even take the blood of older vampires for it enhances their abilities a few couple of notches...just enough to kill us. It is a disgrace.

Then, the vamprin...they have a choice whether or not to participate in this silly game we call war. They are few; only a handful exist in the world today. Their blood....its like an aphrodisiac to vampires...a drug to vampires....and an aphrodisiac to humans. My kind hunted them, until it was thought there were no more. I couldn't be more wrong.

Pardon me as I failed to introduce myself.

I am Arkady-Danite Tomas, leader of the Dark Ones. Dark Ones feed upon chosen animals that reflect the person's personality and strikes the senses...unlike the Ravnos. For me, its the blood of the wolf, doe, and rabbit. Ravnos', however, feast upon the blood of humans. They are merciless, taking any human they wish or desire. Regardless of this simple fact: the human population is dwindling. It may not seem like it to you, but at the end of the year, count how many people died previous to the last year. Then you will see what I mean.

This story...the main focal point of this war...takes place in Dublin, Ireland.

l ♰ l Yes, this roleplay is semi-literate to elite literate. For each post you make, I expect at least 1-3 paragraphs(just to make the more creative of us happy. You can make more paragraphs if you want. You are not limited to just 3 paragraphs.) I will accept a paragraph, but make sure you do 9-15 FULL sentences. Absolutely no one liners!!!! I understand writers block, but please at least have at least 9-15 sentences. Even if you have to resort to rambling. I do it all the time if I have a writers block or nothing to work off of, but I also include my characters feelings, all of his/her 5 senses, and so on.
