ONE-SHOT CHALLENGE!
This challenge/contest/potato will be a contest of one's writing skills, and will be done in rounds.
You will have 100 words (but no more than that) to write a story. Stories with more than 100 words will be disqualified. Each story will be based on a word, which will change each round. Synonyms of the theme-word will also be accepted (Big=large). Also please include a word count, if you are using MS word a count is given. (A story example is in the next post)
Rounds break down like this:
-Qualifying round (Open to every one, multiple people moving to the next round.)
-Round 1 (Open only to those who passed the qualifying round, one winner moves on to the final round.)
-Round 2 (See above)
-Round 3 (See round 1)
-Round 4 (See round 1)
-Final round (Only open to those who passed rounds 1,2,3, or 4. The winner of this round wins the contest.)
If you win round 1,2,3, or 4 you may not enter another story until the final round.
(Note that rounds 1-final are only open to those who have passed the qualifying round)
Qualification will be based on getting eight total points (8/20) or higher from two out of three judges in the following criteria. In the following rounds who ever scores the most points with this criteria will win the round.
General quality--&how amusing/entertaining/well written the judges find the story [Max points:10]
Incorporation--&how well the word or others like it are incorporated in the story [Max points: 10]
Prizes!
Passing the qulifying round: 5k
Getting to the finals: 15k
Winner of ultimate destiny: 100k
