Okay, I don't know if anyone else has noticed this or I'm going crazy. But does it seem like almost everyone has forgotten about Thanksgiving and has jumped straight into Christmas?!
Examples or what I mean: Before school even started in Sept, some stores already had Christmas decorations up. Halloween decor was already taken down at Target the day after and Christmas decor was all over the place! Not a turkey napkin in sight! I went to work at 5:30 and there was no decor in the hall where my store is. I leave at 9:30 and it's everywhere! Christmas music was playing in Sears before Halloween. And the mall shopping hours already extended! They usually doesn't start until after Black Friday. Our store return policy use to begin about that time and we started the holiday return policy weeks ago!
I feel like I'm going to be sick of Christmas before it comes! And I hate that feeling because I freakin' LOVE Christmas!
Anyone else feeling all "humbugged" about Christmas... and not liking it?

I like Christmas, but I've always been opposed to starting it three months early! I definitely wait until after Thanksgiving before I even think about doing Christmasy stuff.

I like christmas better than thanksgiving. better food. xD
But i did notice what Target did. I was like "wow, fast forward"
But i guess it has something to do with the recession, y'know, budget cuts and all.
it makes no matter to me. I start christmas when the months ending in -ber start. xD

And LOL @ Eikou!! I don't starting thinking about it until December starts. I put up my Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving but I'm still loving the left overs and not shopping Black Friday.

I loathe Black Friday. I don't think I know anyone in the retail business that does unless they're new holiday help or a big wig.

I'm use to everything starting super early now since I worked at Ross Dress for Less. They got Thanksgiving and X-mas stuff in June! And we would get Valentine and St Patricks Day stuff in Octorber or November!
So yeah, it used to both me, but now I'm like "I still celebrate it when I do, so it don't matter" lol
And hey! More awesome X-mas specials earlier in the year! My mom loves it since she has so many kids to buy for! lol That includes all family kids, daycare kids, and she still wants to buy some things for the foster care kiddos 3nodding

When I was looking for materials for my Halloween costume, I tried to find the aisle... And walked into an aisle full of Christmas things gonk
Also, there are a few houses in my area that have ALREADY gone totally NUTS with Christmas decorations. Wouldn't that be annoying after several months?
I like Christmas too, but having the stuff up for so long makes it seem like it takes longer to come...

My friend and I have decided not to sing Christmas songs until after Thanksgiving. But it was hard the other day when we were in a party store looking for left over fake blood (which we never found in the 3 stores we checked). They had "You're a mean on, Mr. Grinch" playing and I started singing it without realizing it! gonk

Tonight on NBC, they're showing a Madagascar Christmas special.
That what really bugs me. TV Christmas specials before it's even Thanksgiving. What are you think NBC?!

<.< i'm never surprised when Christmas decorations show up right after Halloween, but that's because Canada's Thanksgiving is before Halloween XD even so, we only put our Christmas lights just this last weekend.
but if you think about it, Christmas is probably when most stores get merchandise sold over an extented time period. as we all know, the holiday isn't really about religion anymore or anything, and it's basically all a marketing ploy. advertise/set up early and you get more shoppers...or that's what i think they think.
Canadian's don't have Black Friday |D we have Boxing Day/Week sales. which, of course, is after Christmas XP
i don't really put much thought into when the decorations or whatnot go up. it's like "meh, whatever." the only thing that's on my mind is the usual Christmas treats my family makes or buys X3 i wouldn't care very much for Christmas period of they were made/sold year-round.
