Reiga sighs as he slowly sits down on the green park bench, startling slightly at the sound of leaves crunching beneath him. He stands, glares at the leaves, dusts himself off in the most dignified way he can manage, sweeps the bench free of leaves with a melodramatic flourish, and sits back down.
Ahhhhh, he sighs again, quiet. The chill autumn air is so refreshing, he reflects, if somewhat... well, chilly.
The elegant Porcelain dressed in autumn colors tilts his head forward, eyes closed, and just sits, letting his mind be free of worry for a rare moment...

The bustle of autumn is invigorating, if not inspiring for one younger porcelain. Meirou bustles with her new bag of books on Gaia's heavens, finally going to the park to stake out until sundown with her blanket and tent, oh-so-cleverly dropped off at the nearby symphony. But she goes to look for a spot in the park instead, walking down the winding paths, glancing at the brown, and somewhat crunchy, fields.
On her journey, she comes by Reiga, giving the man a glance, and with a smile, projects a warm greeting to him. Is sir enjoying this crisp time of year?

With a bit of a jump, Reiga opens his eyes and notices the Porcelain girl. He warmly projects his own greeting back and answers that he is enjoying it very much, thank you Miss.
Remembering his manners, Reiga stands and makes a grand full bow to properly introduce himself, grinning playfully all the while.
We have not formerly met. I am Reiga. To whom do I have the humble pleasure of addressing?

Oh, Meirou is very glad he is, she smiles. Fall is the best time to see the stars when it becomes evening, after all! They are much more visible!
She bows in return to his after his introduction, still smiling. Miss is Meirou, from Far Shoals, Toukoku. If she may inquire, is Reiga from the Golden World as well? She has met a growing number of Porcelain who are not.

Indeed, the stars do seem brighter at night. It is a pleasure to meet you Miss Meirou...
He gasps, smiling broadly. Reiga is from Toukoku as well! Originally. Before, ah, arriving here, home was in Bukoku.
Somewhat shyly he comments that he has not met many Porcelain in Gaia at all, though it is his own fault for neglecting his social duties.

Meirou nods happily, happy to hear that she had found one of those from HER world, and culture. After all, there are quite a few who are from a place other than the Golden World. Like Boyan!
Oh, has Sir Reiga been very busy? Gaia is so full of hustle and bustle that it's hard for her to keep up as well. But now is time for a nice rest, correct?

Oh, yes. Reiga hopes to one day be as successful a trader here in Gaia as he was back home. Yet, though hard work is necessary and commendable, it is important to remember to take a moment to breathe in silence and rest now and again...
... ....
... did Miss Meirou just mention something about a place other than the Golden World? confused

Oh, Meirou wishes Sir Reiga the best of luck with becoming a trader here! She knows that Setsushi has opened an Udon-Ya, and Kouyo works at a book store! Meirou is still too young to work, though she has set her spirits in the heavens!
Oh, yes. Meirou did mention another place. She doesn't know much about it, though she is sure perhaps Boyan would be able to tell Sir Reiga about it. And there is also another place. Some call it the Silver World, though it is not the Silver World they would know. So, Boyan calls it the Space Danish. Meirou has been there herself....For three years there, but it was only a few months here.

Wide eyed and thoroughly confused, Reiga sits back down on the bench. He distractedly thanks Miss Meirou for her good wishes, but his mind is quickly occupied with the difficult task of absorbing this new information. Another place? Another place? A... space danish?
An image flashes through his mind of a Gaian pastry surrounded by stars.
The puzzled Porcelain grins. This all sounds very complicated. Perhaps he should meet this Boyan... maybe he could explain things with a bit more detail?

Oh yes, there are two other places. One, she has only heard of through Boyan, and perhaps a few others. The other, she has been to. It's much like home, but different in a way. Surely Sir Reiga will see when he goes at some point!
Yes, Boyan could explain these things more in depth than Meirou can. She is still young, and learning very much. Boyan is older and very wise. Indeed, he has grandchildren now!

Fascinating. Miss Meirou may be young, but she has certainly demonstrated greater knowledge than this humble merchant.
He stands to bow dramatically before sitting back down, gesturing that Meirou sit by him.
One day he will meet the wise Boyan. Perhaps Miss Meirou will introduce them? However, now is a time to get better acquainted. Where does Miss Meirou live and who is the guardian of such an intelligent young one?

Oh, but she is not nearly as wise in merchandise as Sir Reiga, for sure! He has knowledge of things much more practical than she. What use can the stars be when one wishes to find the best price on clothing? Surely none.
Giving a bow back in return, she comes and sits by Reiga with a smile.
Meirou would be delighted to introduce him to Boyan! Ah, and yes, of course. Meirou lives with Miss Kanna in her apartment in downtown Barton. Kanna works at the symphony, which happens to be right over there.
She extends a hand in the general direction of the hall.

Laughing, Reiga nods. His knowledge may be practical, but there can be value in impractical things as well.
He glances towards the hall, making an appreciative sound. Does Miss Kanna play an instrument, or is her job in a more managerial position?
... and why does that name sound familiar?

Reiga is correct. For all those times where you'd never think that it was practical, star gazing is rather nice. And reading too! Like all those Gaians who use their knowledge to win money on that one show!
Oh, she plays many instruments! However, for the symphony, she plays flute and piccolo!
Meirou tilts her head, blinking. Familiar?

Nodding, Reiga tries to remember, absently commenting on how he always imagined playing a flute must be difficult to master, especially those very tiny ones... oh, those are piccolos...
... Ah Ha!
With a remarkably beaming smile, Reiga stands, withdraws a lovely red fan from his robes, and waves it dramatically, excitement simply pouring from him.
The merchant manages to restrain himself from jumping up and down like a girl (barely) as he exclaims, "Miss Meirou and Lady Kanna gave Reiga a fan for his first birthday in Gaia!"
