Things you look for in a bf/gf

A checklist of sorts. In no particular order.

-Does not drink/smoke ever
-Vegetarian
-Intelligent (at least as smart as me)
-Reasonably attractive
-Not chauvinistic or 'manly man'
-Good sense of style
-Funny
-Ambitious
-Honest
and most importantly,
-Loves and is faithful to me

Luckily for me, my bf has most of these qualities already.

- If a drinker, doesn't drink a lot and know their limits
- Has to share some ideological views with me or it's going to be a constant debate
- must be intelligent and able to have long, good conversations about things
- must be somehow "musical" since music is important to me
- is not afraid of tattoos and piercings
- is open-minded towards the people our society considers to be "different"
- likes to snuggle
- good language skills (knows more languages than one) are a huge plus
- concientious objectors are HOT!

-Relatively attractive.
-Smart. I don't hold with dumb people. I just end up hitting them.
-Relatively normal. (all the guys that have ever, ever hit on me have like, disorders. Real ones. No offense to them, but I get enough of that at home, what with my autistic sister and all.)
-Funny/someone I can hold long conversations with.
-Won't give me s**t for all the gay cinema I watch.

YEP.

-OH AND THE MOST ABSOLUTE REQUIREMENT: must be liberal. must, must, must. if I dated a conservative we would rip each other's throats out.

Yeah that's pretty much it for me.
I have no set type, although I will say that girls that have social viewpoints that are drastic one way or the other, a good girlfriend does not make. Good friends maybe, but when in a relationship I don't care to hear every ten seconds about how "Politician X said this about Politician Y" and "If you eat/refuse to eat X you must be a scumsucking Y",
I just don't care.

Most of the gals in the LSG, while good potential friend-friends, I would brain with a skillet two weeks into dating them. Idealistic people who only see black and whites (no matter the subject) are a pet peeve.

Non-smoker or at least considerate about it. That s**t kills me, please do not do it around me. Also take a drink of something when you're done if you plan on kissing me, I do not enjoy the taste of smoke unless it's cooked into my meat.

Not overly...Anything. If your veg, cool, but I'm still eating meat. If you go to church or something, cool, but you prattling on won't make me any more likely to believe in the s**t.

Music-wise, you don't have to like the same s**t as me, but if I don't like what you're listening to, and ask nicely to find something we can both agree on, please know that after a while I'll go away from the music. I'm not going to sit surrounded by something that annoys me.

My car. Mine. Not ours. I paid for that s**t, not you. No, you do not get shotty on the virtue of your my lady. You play by the same damn rules as everyone else. Which is either call it, or give me a damn good reason why you should get it. Being you does not count.

If I say I want to be alone, don't push the issue, I'm not doing it for attention. I am anti-social and reclusive, meaning when I want to retreat to my cave, let me.

Also enjoying video games is a major bonus, considering that's mostly what I do.

Oh! If I ask you not to touch me, it's not you. I will explain this beforehand, so no, I'm not mad at you, I'm not annoyed, I just don't want to be touched a majority of the time, and I allow you to do it because usually you're the exception. Usually. Going on and on about how I don't want you will only serve to annoy me and eventually make that true.

LAST ONE: If we're arguing, and I'm speaking calmly, for ******** sake I am NOT talking down to you. I don't know what the ******** it is with people and assuming that. I just don't like to raise my voice.
