Adi had no idea where she was at the moment, she'd merely run until she was too tired to do so and then crawled under a pine tree for the night. That had pretty much been the sum of her existence for several moons now and she thought perhaps at long last she might be able to rest a spell. Surely she had put enough space between her and her pack to keep them from finding her...or at least from finding her anytime soon.
Crawling out from her hidey-hole Ki-Adi took a look around - something she had neglected to do the night before. It seemed like a nice enough place, at least as far as resting spots went, the woods were thick and no doubt teeming with game and somewhere not too far off the sound of running water reached her ears. It was then however that the wolfess took note of another thing which seemed laden in the area - the scent of other wolves, had she crossed into pack lands in her mad dash the night before? She certainly hoped not, with her luck lately it would be an unfriendly bunch..perhaps she ought to leave...

The purple wolf was out scouting. Well, unofficially at least. He had had a bit of time to settle into pack life, and felt that - overall - he was faring better around others of his species. There was still an ache in his heart for the human who had nursed him back to health, but it was slowly fading away - as was the confusion as to why he had been chased away from his 'home' with the man.
He walked along slowly, contemplating his life and where he had been, where he was going. This was the sort of wolf he found himself becoming these days, and also realized that if he didn't force himself around his pack companions, he would sit for days by himself, pondering the works and wonders of the world they lived in.
He was a quiet wolf, a philosopher if you would.
As he wandered, he realized that he was coming up on an unfamiliar smell. The slight smell of fear was on the wind as well, and he realized that this could possibly be his big chance - bring in new blood for the pack! His alpha might be proud of him, and Lullaby would certainly feel better about himself for being useful.
He realized he was a quiet wolf, not just by nature, but by physiology as well, and as such he would need to either yell and hurt his throat, or get closer than normal to the stranger - which didn't seem like a suitable solution. With a gruff sort of noise, the purple one cleared his throat. He could tell now that he was getting closer to the stranger, and could now tell that the wolf was definitely female.
Delightful. Lullaby loved all things female. They were generally less confrontational, and he found a solace in that fact. He hoped that this wolf too would be the same.
"Hello." he spoke, somewhat shyly and ever quiet, as he first laid eyes on the female. She was a strange mix of colors - though he couldn't say much, as his own coloring was an unearthly color - but while she wasn't 'natural', he found her beautiful.
He kept his distance, respectfully, and kept his posturing low and non-threatening. He was an omega, and he knew it, but there was no reason not to show a bit of confidence with a stranger, especially one he would like to get to know a bit, instead of scare off with his oddities.

Her inner thoughts were interrupted by a rather gruff and harsh sounding noise which came from somewhere near-by, Ki-Adi mentally scolded herself for not paying better attention - for letting herself be lured into a false sense of security and allowing her thoughts to wander in such a manner. The multi-toned wolf was poised on the edge of flight when the stranger broke from cover.
The stranger was not at all what Ki-Adi had expected, it as not some large and slavering beast which confronted and sought to drive her back home. At least not at first sight anyways. At first glance...the pale colored male seemed quite soft and harmless, even his voice when he spoke was soft - so soft it might have been hard to hear had their been anything else about to overpower it. His posture too spoke of not a hardened warrior..but someone softer, perhaps kinder. Ki-Adi found herself breathing out a small sigh of relief as she took all these observations in. Allowed herself to relax - just slightly and rather then flee into the forest stay her ground and face the bob-tailed purple male.
But while she was willing to stay - for the moment - and while the stranger seemed friendly enough Ki-Adi was not entirely willing to let her guard down so easily, not yet anyways. "Hello" she answered him with a searching somewhat suspicious look, he could well be bait she reasoned - a nice soft looking wolf sent out to lure her into a trap. "Who are you?"

He smiled at her as he sensed her relaxing in his presence. Trust was a huge issue for the wolf, but he felt that if someone could truly relax with him, he could relax with them. "I am Lullaby." he answered her question, his voice only a bit less quiet than before. It got easier to speak as he stretched his vocal chords, as he rarely spoke as it was, and things got used to never being used.
"Are you alright?" he asked, trying to politely gather information. He was scouting, after all, and she was closer than his alphas might have liked, to the pack's borders. What was left of his tail flagged back and forth lazily, and he dropped to his haunches, slowly as to avoid bones creaking. He wasn't incredibly old, but he was worn - from what battle, he knew not.
"If need arises, my pack is a sort of safe haven." he added a bit loftily, not wanting to freak the female out with an invitation into a strange pack, but he realized the strange aura of flight around the wonderfully colored she-wolf, and wondered if something might be chasing her.
He shuddered at the thought, but kept his calm on the surface, as he awaited her next words.

Lullaby...that hardly sounded like the name of a dangerous wolf she reasoned, though it certainly suited his quiet voice and soft pale coloring, and then there was the wagging half-tail...something that she supposed even the most hard hearted couldn't help but find at least a little endearing. Or maybe she was giving hard hearts a bit more credit then they were due. Watching him sit - ever so slowly and carefully further soothed her worries...the beast before her hardly seemed like he could do her serious harm even if he wanted too and she took a few hesitant steps forward so she could better hear him.
"I am.." and here she paused a little as thought trying to determine the best answer to give"...fine, just a bit lost I think" Now why had she added on that last bit she chastised herself mentally, it as never good to let others know you were vulnerable..in any way they just took advantage of it. It was his words of a safe haven that made her falter slightly in her thinking, her brow furrowing slightly as she looked at him in confusion "How do you mean 'safe haven?' " She questioned him "Most packs I know are generally family...and yes they do protect one another, but they are also more about control and rules and unbending laws then any sort of haven" she stated firmly and with a bit of bitterness in her voice.

He winced at her bitter words. "No, this one... it's different." He smiled and wagged his stump of a tail. "There's family, but I'm an outcast, and they took me in with no qualms."
That first bit was a half-truth. He was an outcast, but from what, he had no clue. From wolves or from humans? He couldn't remember anything before the human had found him and nursed him back to health. those had been happy times, and he hadn't even care what had happened in the time before. Where he had got his wounds and lost half his tail was no matter to him, but now that his human had chased him away, he wanted to know everything, and he planned to find out, as soon as he recovered a bit.
"I think as long as you don't kill anyone or pose a threat, they watch over you." he grinned a half-smile, reciting what he remembered of the rules. Ohwell, that was probably the rule anywhere you went, so he had to be right in some respect. His mind wasn't all there, all the the time nowadays, and that's why he had joined up.

Ki took in the other wolfs words for a few moments, her old pack never would have taken in a wolf like Lullaby - at least not as an equal and not with any sort of respect given. Probably not even protection as slaves were rather worthless in their eyes and a wolf as meek sounding as lullaby seemed to be could hardly be anything else...
"it..it sounds nice.." she finally had to admit - as much as she was afraid to say it Ki missed being apart of a pack, not her pack persay because her pack was full of vicious brutes and a terrible future..but a pack, with company and friends. Surely she had run far enough that they could never rack her down? Surely it was safe to at least...rest for a while right? "I'm Ki-Adi' She told the pale colored wolf with a slight sigh as though giving into the inevitable.

Lullaby waited patiently as she mulled it over. He took this time to glance around, not nervously, but in an attempt to be more observant about his surroundings - something he knew not how to do quite yet.
His smile was crooked, but it was firmly displayed on his maw, as she gave her name. "It's nice to meet you, Ki-Adi!" he yipped happily. He wondered briefly about how to go about approaching bringing this new wolf into the pack. He realized that his alphas would want to meet with her, but being the lowest wolf in the pack hierarchy, he was unsure of how to accomplish this without getting himself in trouble.

Ki-Adi was pretty sure it was nice to meet Lullaby - she had pretty much given up on the idea that the pale purple wolf was hiding a pack of blood thirsty monsters behind him. It just didn't seem very plausible the more she spoke with him.
"Will they be angry with you? For speaking to me without alerting them?" She finally asked - he didn't want to get the soft spoken wolf in trouble. Ki had spent enough time in trouble herself to have a great desire not to place anyone else in such a terrible situation. Although if this was truly a sanctuary pack then...that wouldn't be an issue right?
