She sometimes wondered how she never got bored with her life up until this point. recent events have left her so busy sometimes it was hard to get a moments peace! Having to go on patrols all the time, fight Youma, it was stressing but at the same time she loved it.
Today was the one chance she had enough time to herself, her guardian cat had decided to go off on her own to snoop around. Which meant a rare chance at a break - No school and no sailor suiting.
Beth meandered towards a popular bubble tea shop- deciding to get a drink before she chose todays plans. Should she go see that new movie and stare at the sexy actors? Should she go back to that arcade and try at that claw machine again? Shopping for trinkets? Window shopping? Maybe go to the bookstore and read up on things? She had no clue what she would do- all she knew was she WAS going to enjoy today.
After some major contemplating on her part while she was waiting in line- it was finally her turn to order. "Uhhm.... can i get a small mango bubble tea with tapioca pearls please?" She grinned- pulling out her wallet once the worker told her a price.

A small hand gloved in fingerless black lace gloves closed over her own before she could withdraw her wallet, hair brushed her cheek as someone leaned over her shoulder.
"And one Jasmine Milk tea, no pearls please!" Over her other shoulder a second hand jutted proffering bills to the gentleman at the register.
"MY treat this time" Beamed Ume releasing her light hold as soon as her bills were taken. "Mmm... I know where you can find mango licorice if you like the tea!" she added as though she -hadn't- just snuck up on her to pay.
Most of her hair was up this time in a twist of lace and about 5 hair sticks and lord knew how many pins, the rest was at least partly curled and framing her face.
"Hi! Long time no see!"

If it were possible to jump out of your skin- Beth would probably be doing that right this second. One second she was reaching for her wallet and the next she felt the warmth of another plus a random arm fly out of no where and pay. "Hey what th-" ... she recognized that voice. "UME!" She about squealed- turning around to grip her friend in a very tight hug.
"I havent seen you in ages how have you been wow those gloves are so pretty and mango licorice ive never heard of that!" Beth stuttered all of that into one long and over enthusiastic run on sentence- gasping for breath soon after.
She thanked the worker and grabbed her drink- it clicked then. "HEY! Thats no fair! I should have paid for us!" If beth was good at one thing- it was whining when others treated her to things.

"YOU...paid -last- time we were together!" Beamed Ume. "My turn!" She added and picked up her drink with a little twirl.
"Thank you! You should get some! You'd look so cute in Lolita! I don't understand why its not more popular!" She bemoaned.

"Yeah well, ill get you back for this!" Lyra beamed- her plot already moving the little gears inside her head. This meant war, all out gift war. She would win.
Looking up at ume she finally got a look at her outfit- wow she looked really pretty. Frilly things looked really good on her. "Uuuuhh... i dont know, ive never really worn anything classified as lolita." She looked down at her own outfit- as if to show a point. Her outfit was cute now- but not in a gothic lolita kind of way. "I dont really own anything like that. "

"well then you come to MY house! I have LOTS!...Pleeeeease please please? My little sister is out today!! My parents are on a trip its just UUUUSSS we could watch horror movies and I have this amazing new book! And I have these blue and orange ribbons that would just look SO pretty!"
She dipped her chin doing her best 'Angel eyes' impression.
"Pleeeeeeasseeee? My sister won't do dark colors at allllll"

How could she say no to that face? While- yes even if Ume didnt give her the angel eyes she probably still would have gone with. Beth was just that kind of person.
"If you... think i can fit into your clothing i c-could try?" She looked down at her stomach and gave it a little poke. She had been eating one too many sweets recently... Leading the way outside she looked around- not sure which direction to go she looked at her friend for help.

"You'll fit! I'm sure you will!" She beamed and when she caught the look of 'not sure where to go' She took the other girls hand in her own.
"This way!" She beamed, and lead her away from the markets and shops into the winding rows of suburbia, Rows of houses, many looking so similar that only the colors of their door separated them one from another, and just beyond where yards were -slightly- bigger, fenced, and perhaps a little more 'character'

"I hope so!" She continued on to finish the mini 'IM TOO FAT' convo.
With a meep she soon found herself being dragged down the streets. The wind was blowing hard today- and Beth soon found herself getting a massive case of windblown hair. Sighing- she took off her two hair pieces and let her short back have flow in the wind. "Such a windy day... at least the suns out."
The shopping distract steadily turned into more housing than anything- an area she liked to call 'cookie cutter' homes. Nothing wrong with them- it just got confusing when your trying to find a specific house.
"How much furtherr?"
Just as Beth was about to tart complaining- a feline "mrrrowl!" could be heard as a certain siamese feline launched herself off a fence and onto Behs shoulder- where she flopped down like a noodle to make herself comfy. "Meow?"
....Chloe hated playing a stupid cat. All this meow meow meow buisness was natural to her- but she still would rather be understood than play stupid charades. She had succeeding in doing what she planned on though- scaring Beth out of her whits. She sneezed amused at the reaction- which was her totally flailing around. She hadnt looked at her friend yet.

"You are -so- not too fat...god I don't know where people -get- these ideas!" she scolded. "And at -least- trust me that corsets can be VERY flexible!...I'm -sure- I have at -least- one that will fit! And not much furth-OH!" She cried startled at the sudden advent of the feline.
"Oh!...." She repeated gazing at the cat, or more specifically at the blue star on its brow, god... you know before this year she could swear she'd never noticed cats -having- that mark before, but now... and after Astaria...
She glanced at Beth with widening eyes, wondering.
"Ah... Hello Chloe!, may I scratch her ears do you think?"

Chloe for a little while was paying more attention to Beth- she would kick herself in the rear later for not seeing what was clearly staring her right in the face. With the addition of a new voice- and talk about petting her- her attention snapped to Ume. Her instincts immediatly screamed at her- how had she not seen this before? The other female infront of her was clearly another senshi- the aura around her never lied.
"Sure! I dont think she'd mine scra-"
"MuCephei." Her eyes grew larger- staring at Ume a little more intently. Her tail flicked Beth upside the head once- stupid beth for not knowing she had been hanging around another senshi.
"WAATT.. i mean uhm..." What the hell was Chloe thinking! She shouldnt talk out loud to regular people! The only time she ever did was when they met Castor randomly... Wait. Looking up at Ume she repeated the words. "...MuCephei?"

Ume turned pink...and did a tiny little wave. "Heh, yes... you too?" She asked glancing at the cat and back to Beth with wide eyes as the reality of it set in.
"Do... all the cats with stars on their heads talk and um... indicate...You know? Lets, lets go back to my house, and we'll talk in my room." She said glancing around.
"Oh...wow...wow, I...wow...I, I'm -really- really- really-happy, that your... I...wow, I totaly, need to talk to someone about the other night and this whole YES! My house!" She said and started walking again before she said something foolish.

Nodding once in agreement- Chloe turned back to Beth and gave her a assuring nod- Beth had chosen someone good to hang out with for once! Leaping off of Beths shoulder- Chloe landed gracefully on Ume's and draped herself on the new shoulder in the same fashion as before.
"wa- wait up ume!" Beth called next- running up beside her. "You mean you too? Really? Man! We've seen each other a few times now and we never knew!" She was giddy now- this was the second time she had met another senshi in civi form but, Ume was actually her friend! "The other night?" She asked- not really questioning further as she followed the duo to the house.

"Yep! Me too! You can tell me your name inside!" She said and flashed a nervous grin and opened a white picket gate to the house. She laughed a little at Chloe's shoulder exchange and scritched her ear as she stepped in onto the walk to let Beth inside the house.
It was at least of some individuality from the houses around it... inside it was fairly generic, perhaps a touch martha stewart, including a wall of family photos, Ume's own black hair and almond shaped eyes stood out sharply against the bright eyes of her family, her sister's blond hair streaked with rainbow and the like.
She lead Beth upstairs and to a room at the end of a small hall, her door had a small wooden bat plaque on it that had her name printed in white bubbly letters with what looked like plum blossoms added on with tulip paint.
"My inner sanctum!" she joked and swung open the door, white walls, but dark coverlets, plush animals that included such oddities as a gargoyle, and a black cat painted with bones littered a corner of the bed, the floor was strewn with books on medical curiosities, myths, and true crime. Ribbons and lace and little accessories of lacy and gothic themes strewn over the top of a dresser painted a deep black with red trim, she offered a seat on the bed and opened her closet to show a range of shirts corsets, skirts and a few spare boots that could be assembled into various frothy gothic combinations before sitting down on a black beanbag she pulled from beside her desk.
"...So you too huh?" She started suddenly unsure if she should just dive into strange black cats and kisses.

Oh wow- her house might have looked ordinary in a sitcom kind of way- but her room was far from that! Instantly Beth found herself making her way around the room- even though it was really monotone, it just seemed to work. It was a far cry from her own room- which was a mess of white and pastel colors. The only thing that was remotely similar was... "Skullies!" She said picking one up to examine it. She had a few of these herself.
Placing the stuffed cat back in its place- she wandered next towards the contents of the closet. "Waaahhhhh these are so cute!" Reaching in she couldnt help but ruffle some of the lace bits on the outfits. She wasnt kidding about having a whole closet full!
"Yeah- i was changed a little while back." Her green eyes looked up to meet ume's red. "Im Lyra, the Nebula's senshi." She grinned flipping out her pen- Gold and red with pastel rainbow accents. "Chloe here- is a Guardian cat. Yeah there are a few of them running around... and from what i have seen- they all have a Star on their forhead. It seems to be a tell all sign of what they are... its why normally when Chloe is with me she stays in a over sized tote bag." Chloe off to the side grumbled something about 'smelly' tote bags. "A negaverser saw her star once- and immediately started to chase after her."
"How about you? Im guessing your MuCephei?"
