How long had he been alone? His head was still a little fuzzy. He had a run in with a young female and a bad fight with a moose. And that was -after- his back accident that cause his loss of memory.
His legs were still a little wounded, the strong horns of a bull moose were not something to toy with. A soft sound left him as he attempted to put more of his weight on it. Nope. Not a good idea. He grumbled a little to himself as he went back to limping. He hated looking like this, it made it obvious he was wounded and any wolf that wanted to pick a fight would probably win it. Feeling pathetic was not something that Elan wanted to experience.
For this reason, he did what he could to avoid other wolves. He'd just recently left the Draug Faroth lands, where he had been healing, and was now wondering about trying to see if he could find any wolves that would know his past. His lonely travels were nessicary, but not something he really enjoyed. It would be nice to spend some time just relaxing with another that he could trust.. perhaps even a pack that was worth joining.
Draug Faroth had been pretty impressive, but the tension between Reaction and Revel made him want to at least get a breather before he went back.
When a new scent caught his nose, he paused and moved to sit down. This way he wouldn't look wounded or weak at all.

Was this the way? Momentarily, the tall female stopped her brisk trot to ponder whether or not she actually cared if she was going the right way. With a dismissive snort, Najla shook her head. It didn't really matter. Sooner or later wandering paws would lead her to pack lands, or at least across the path of some well-fed traveler. That was her self-proclaimed profession, to deal with people. And have them deal out things to her.
Food, sex, secrets, treasure; anything that the wolf wanted in her life she was able to charm or trade away for. Right now, she had nothing. But was looking for something.
The faint gnawing in her stomach didn't bother her as much as being out on her own did. Najla was a canid of many masks, perfect to fit any sort of occasion. While time to herself allowed her to work on her facades, too much made her yearn for home. Not her biological home, where a dowdy omega of a mother and a senile alpha awaited to judge her every move. But to be with her Baba and travel with him.
"The winds will change." She mused softly, maroon eyes glancing to the tree tops. Then once more she started off, long-legged gait brisk and firm.

It seemed that the female did not even notice him. He looked curious, moving forward and trying to catch a sight of her. As soon as he caught sight of her, his eyes started to glow a little. She was a pretty little thing, it made him wonder why she would be on her own. Surely she could use her beauty to get plenty of protection and male company.
Though his ankle was still rather sore, he moved forward and did what he could to keep it from being obvious that he was in any pain. He moved into her pathway, blocking her from going past him unless she planned on moving around him.
"Greetings," He acted as a gentlemen, bowing his head a little and giving a small smile. What had made him want to meet her? He wasn't usually one to go out of his way, but.. Hm. Elan did his best to shake those thoughts from his head, such things weren't important.
"What is a lady such as yourself doing out alone?" His tone was curious, looking more confused than anything else.

Having seen nor heard anything of the wolf about her till he was almost blocking her way, the female had barely no time to react. Planting her feet solidly in the cool ground, she gave the wolf a quick once-over. His gait, the last few moments before he moved straight into her path, seemed.....off to her.
A momentary analysis was barely enough to judge anything by way of illness, and the way the male stood seemed to be normal. But flickering nostrils caught scent of a pack, and prospects of a free meal were too good to pass up.
The female seemed to come to life as she chose her character, red-eyes widening while she pulled her head back to sit high. An appropriate breeze through the trees heightened the mystical appearance.
"Awaiting you." Najla's stage voice was lower than normal for a female, a slight rasp in the tone the match her mysterious expression. "What ails you, brother? The forest can tell something is...amiss." Her phrasing brought her an inner giddy joy. Everyone had problems, and if this male answered the way she thought he would, her assumption would be correct. As she spoke, her large ears turned inwards but her expression remained passive and calm, as though she knew the answers already. Of course she did. She was a 'seer', of course.

Her words both confused and impressed him. She must have been one of the mystical ones, a wolf of both inner and outter beauty. His tail gave a slight wag before he glanced to his foreleg. "I was wounded while fending off a bull mose, dear Lady. It was much too large to come away from the incident unwounded."
Though he told himself he wasn't trying to impress the other with the words, it was rather obvious that he was. It was a rather impressive feat, taking down a bull moose to defend a female he hardly knew. But he wouldn't have been able to do it without the help of the local Alpha, who struck the Moose once he confused it into getting lodged between a few trees.
"It is an honor to meet a grand lady such as yourself," He bowed his head again, showing his respect for her. It was important to do such things with those that were privillaged with powers beyond himself.
What were they called again..? Seers. Yes, they were quite admirable.
"I was merely taking away from the packlands that I am resting on. There is to be quite a feast tonight due to the approval of new members, if you're interested in such a thing."

From her high post she looked down on the male, wine-coloured eyes taking a few seconds for her to adjust to pure mysticism. Barring to the soul yet unfocused enough as though taking in a larger picture. She mused on answering him, large ears extended and cupped towards the admiring male. He was fairly attractive, seemed to keep himself well. Enough to have a meal in the belly and his fur free of brambles. Mixed scents from his fur kept her secretly flushed.
This would be easy.
"Yet you had assistance with this." Najla answered cooly, her words a firm statement. The female had no real magickal powers of her own to flaunt, but she was no nincompoop either. A bull moose? There was no way that one wolf on his lonesome could live after a fight with a moose, young or otherwise.
Najla dipped her neck elegantly at his greeting, eyelids fluttering like a hummingbirds' wings before she raised it up once more. A feast? It was all the female could do to keep from breaking character. But once more she found the male's words strangely.
Even when injured food was not a thing to go to waste. His explanation didn't sit well with her. "There is...." Najla looked to the sky. "The winds do not lie to me. There is something else?" The female could hope. No-one ever lied to a seer.

"I did, my lady." He nodded his head a few times. "The alpha from the nearby lands saved me. I owe him a great deal. I managed to lead the bull moose to get stuck, but I was so badly wounded I could not do much. The alpha gave the final blow." He didn't seem ashamed that he needed help, a bull moose was not one to be messed with.
This female seemed all knowing, he knew he could not lie to her. If she was truly a seer, than she would know the instant he lied.
"There is a forming tension within the healing den that I feel apart of." He admitted after a moment. "And so I wanted a bit of a break." Revel had pissed off Reaction badly. Now the Mother of the pack did not want Revel to remain there to heal. Revel was depending on him, but he did not know what to do with himself.
He had liked the thought of finally having a pack, a home to stay in. But Revel must have not felt the same way.
Perhaps, though, this was not what the female even meant to get out of him. He furrowed his eyebrows a little before offering her a smile.
"I apologize for my rambling."

The corners of her mouth twitched betrayingly, though if she hadn't have forced back a smile it could be written off as just amusement at his ramblings. He was eating this up! However short her time being this 'higher power' of creature was, it was rewarding to know how quickly he fell into line for it.
Especially since he was indeed quite interesting. Moose fighting? Well, very foolish but it took some courage. Najla respected that.
"It is fine. The rambling of vocalizations are nothing compared to the mixed track of the mind." She answered, her whiskey-voice rumbling. "Though I would be honoured to take part in this 'feast' you speak of. The forest may feed the mind with ease, but the body is often forgotten.
"Only, however, if I were in company of a friend." At this, she allowed the male a comforting smile.

Elan nodded his head a few times. He would lead these female so she could have a good meal on their territory. She was a seer, surely that was very hard on her and she could use someone else taking care of her for once. She was sure to have much too many voices penitrating her mind..
The mention of a friend brought a wag of his tail and he nodded his head a few times. "I would be honored to be considered to be a friend to you, so that I could bring you to such a feast, my lady."
Helooked content at that thought. Another friend would be nice.

"Tell me, my dear new friend, when allies are in need of your help, what do they call out?"
A fancy, unnecessary way of asking his name, while she probed her own mind to find one that would suit her. Najla. The name she had been given by her old Baba was not the one her biological mother had made for her. It was better, and beautiful, like a secret that only they shared. Her smile crinkled nostalgically at the thought, a giddy swell of pride deep in her chest.
No one else would know it. Nor did they need to know. Because she didn't need them. They were useful, in their own way, but not necessary. That was why she changed herself, wriggled into a different skin, different life, different name for every encounter. They wouldn't, and couldn't break the character she made to touch her behind. She was safer as someone else.
So if he wanted a friend, a lady to this partial cripple, she would be. For both of their enjoyment, their gain. What was wrong in that?
