Popularity had its price, so they said. Once you got popular on youtube, people expected you to actually be able to repeat the feat. That was a bit more complicated - after all, Tallulah had gotten her first two clips by dumb luck, being in the right place in the right time and that sort of thing. But tonight...
...Tonight you could say that Tallulah was looking for trouble. She'd gotten a small videocamera and knew, more or less, how to use it. At the very least it was less shaky and had a larger memory card than her cell phone. Her patrol route, as agreed on with Alex, took her past the school and then towards the playground. She was coming around a corner in the neighborhood now. The climbing structures and swings were visible in the distance.
It looked like tonight might just be another night of pretending to be an insomniac jogger. All quiet on the western front.

While this might have been the right place and right time for Tallulah yet again, it was not hitting a vein of luck for Pasha. This whole patrolling deal was not his thing, and it was killing his time to stargaze. Not to mention how horribly vulnerable and strange he felt prancing around in rainbows and a skirt, which he would have no trouble doing in the daytime. If only the talking kitty were with him all the time...
Nerves a wreck, he wandered towards the park. Maybe an attempt at adding some familiarity into the situation would ease his mind a bit.
Besides, there weren't monsters in the park. There couldn't be monsters in the park - only fireflies and pretty moths and him, and Tallulah on occasion. The only time he thought he'd made a monster come to eat him up, it was actually just the Abel kitty...who told him about scary monsters and how he'd have to fight them, but that was kind not the point.

There was someone else on the sidewalk, approaching the park from the other end. Unfortunately the streetlights were on the other side of the street, so Tallulah couldn't see them very well, but they were definitely there. She paused, squinting through the darkness. It looked like a kid, but it was definitely too late for kids to be out. Maybe a short teenager or something.
She got closer. There was something familiar about the silhouette. Was that... a pleated skirt?
Maybe this was her lucky night after all. Tallulah flipped on her camera and stepped off the sidewalk. She'd have better luck walking unnoticed in the bushes, anyway. She followed the maybe-Senshi into the park and froze behind a bench, filming between a wide gap in the slats. Between the skirt and the collar, it was definitely a Senshi, but a different one than she'd ever seen before. She thought it was a girl, although she wasn't sure - it looked like the scout was wearing shorts, and she'd never seen a female Senshi wear shorts before.
(Then again, she had only ever seen one female Senshi.)

An overwhelming sense of comfort did envelop him as he set one extremely bright toe onto the grass of the park, even if it were just in his head. It only lasted for one short moment, however - something was moving. He'd seen it just out of the corner of his eye, and whatever it was definitely wasn't moving anymore, but it was there.
Fight...or run. Fight or run. Fi...
Okay. Run.
If it chased him, he would fight back, but it was not chasing him and it merited no fighting back. He wasn't even sure it was a youma monster; it could have been another dog or hobo or something equally as innocent (as relatively innocent as hobos got).
Unfortunately, that lack of luck was becoming more and more obvious. What he'd seen hadn't been a youma at all, but the bizarre elephant-shaped "playground equipment" in the kiddie area was springing to life right before his eyes, and it looked very much like a monster. It opened its "mouth" to growl, and Pyxis was sure he smelled what could only be described as a combination of burning hair and plastic.
"You aren't something fun to play on at all!" he wailed, taking a stride as far backward as his short legs would carry him. "I...um! P...Pyxis Firefly Flash!" In spite of his apprehension, it worked. Glowing fireflies began to materialize all around him, swirling and gathering into a focused swarm. The elephant-thing-youma continued towards him, somewhat awkward on its lumpy legs, but frightening nonetheless.
The glow of the fireflies continued to rise in intensity, lighting up the area around him. He turned to run away as they gave off a flash brighter than any lightning he'd ever seen, sprinting towards home. He just had to get home, and he'd be safe, and he could ask the talking Abel kitty to come with him all the time.

The bizarre elephant-thing roared in frustration. Tallulah squinted as the sphere of light expanded outwards- surely this wouldn't go down on film very well at all! It would be to bright.
The elephant thing roared again. And then it charged away from Pyxis, but towards the bench where Tallulah was crouched.
Tallulah was at the point in her investigations where, when in doubt, it was best to run. With a shriek, she leapt to her feet, clutched the camera to her chest, and ran into the woods. Behind her, the youma crashed through the bench where she had been hiding a moment before, and then began charging through the trees, splintering them as it went.
Tallulah managed to stifle her second screech as she tripped and tumbled down a small rise. The elephant seemed to have passed her for now, but she wasn't out of danger yet - it was still out there somewhere.

Tonight was her night to look around on her own, without sailor Lyra around. During the cover of night, it was easier for her to poke her nose around and slip away just as quickly. She after all was just the size of a feline- and looked just like one minus her star on her forehead. If some human did see her they would just quickly glance once over her and go back to their normal, oblivious lives. If only they knew of the silent war that was going on in their very city... they might cast a curious glance to the 'strange disappearances / murders' then.
Today she was wandering the outskirts of town- a area set aside for a park to keep at least SOME tree's in the ever-growing city. They also converted part into a childrens playground- it was weird and had a bunch of plastic animals all over it.
She couldnt help but smirk- she caught sight of the senshi walking through the same park. It seemed she was not the only one whom thought to patrol this area- she wasn't needed around here after all. Just as she was about to jump off her tree perch and wander deeper into the city- she suddenly felt a wave of pure dark energy. Looks like her previously uneventful night was about to get insane.
She looked around quickly to view the event unfold. s**t, the elephant youma was chasing him but.... turned around? What? That's when she saw it.
"....s**t" The senshi had bolted in the opposite direction- and the creature was now chasing a human into the tree's. Not thinking twice- though she knew she couldn't do much she had to do SOMETHING. Leaping off the tree she soon ran as fast as her little kitty feet could carry her. She needed to get the human away from the youma- or at least distract it. Cats were naturally faster than humans by nature- the bonus's of being small, aerodynamic, and having 4 legs. She quickly doubled ahead of the human and the youma, it was in her sights, but it seems as if the Youma was not too smart. That's good for them, but not good for long. It will eventually find them.. or someone else to prey on. She needed to find that one senshi- and fast. Firstly though- Chloe went to go check up on that human. She wouldn't be able to talk to them- but she could nudge her and try to get her out of the way.
Approaching the human- her eyes lit up as she felt a sudden wave of a new kind of energy, a GOOD energy, coming from this human. She has felt this energy only when in the presence of a Senshi Star seed. Without thinking twice- she leaped down and landed right in front of the unawakened senshi. "Do you wish to live!? Then fight!" She cried- probably seeming like a hallucination to the other. Not bothering to wait for a answer- she did her kitty flip move and had a Henshin Pen summoned. Gripping it in her mouth- she dropped the pen on the ground in front of the civilian. "Scream Sailor Europa, Make-up! and hold this pen in the air!"

Tallulah was certain she must have hit her head. Not only had a cat appeared in front of her - any self-respecting cat would have run as far away from the elephant thing as it could - but that selfsame cat was talking. And had summoned a pen out of... out of hammerspace or whatever it was they had in cartoons.
And this was - this was big. This was being let in on the conspiracy big. Tallulah grabbed the pen and screamed as instructed, because of course she wanted to live to see tomorrow.
"Europa power, make-up!"
Only to be seized by the peculiar sensation of having her skin peeled off and then replaced with something better, newer, and fresher, and clothes more stylish and better suited to battle than the sweats she'd been masquerading as a jogger in. And then, when it was all over, she declared, "Still waters run deep! I am Sailor Europa!"
She could not have told you why she said it even if you asked her at gunpoint, and then she chased the elephant-thing into the woods. She had no idea what was going on, but it needed to stop one way or another.
What she would do when she found it? She wasn't so sure about that, either. And the camera was still on, wedged into a knoll in a tree-trunk and recording everything.

He was nearly to the edge of the park, shoes thumping in a perfectly rhythmic pace across the drying grass, when he heard the scream. The creepy elephant-youma might not be chasing him, but it was after somebody. He couldn't let the poor girl get trampled to death, smelling nasty burnt plastic right before she met her end, forever traumatized by playgrounds in her afterlife. That would be just horrible.
Skidding to a halt, he turned to run back the other way, fighting off a threatening dizziness. This rush of adrenaline was an entirely new experience, but not necessarily an unwelcome one - he needed the extra burst of energy to keep him on the youma's tracks.
It was making an obscene amount of noise as it crashed through the trees, leveling a path for itself through the forest. He couldn't tell where it was, since the crashing timber was echoing in every direction through the silence, so he considered a new plan. Determined, he stepped just into the wooded area, cupped his hands around his mouth, and yelled at the top of his lungs.
"Heeeey way-too-creepy elephant monster guy! I'm over here! You have to come get me, so you can eat me up and see how delicious I am!"
He was a little disgusted with himself in the moments afterward for making such a graphic taunt, but he hoped it would do the trick.

Chloe would always remember how it looked when a senshi was awakened. They had a pure glow that seemed to emulate out all of their skin- and it just felt right. It was the power of good- and it will always triumph the heavy, harsh feelings that negaverse aura's felt like to her.
"Now you should kn- what- WAIT!" She cried- a exasperated look on her face when the newly awakened senshi bolted out towards the youma. The senshi did not wait around so Chloe could give at least a LITTLE inkling of her new powers!
Bolting after them- she had more issues catching up this time than before. The new senshi apparently did not notice her new endurance and speed- which was a lot faster than a normal human or Kenyan any day. Pushing herself she finally caught up- and gave a slight growl in frustration. "Sailor Europa! Do you want even a Inkling of knowledge to your new powers!?"
Without waiting she just kept talking. "Your enemy is the Negaverse. These youma here are minions of the negaverse- they are evil and must be disposed of whenever spotted. Your biggest secret is your identity blahblahblah. Aka: Dont tell anyone who you are! Negaverse agents lurk around ALL corners."
s**t- she almost hit a tree with that last sentance. She decided to pay more attention to where they ran now. Irritated- she continued. " You now can move faster, and leap over tall buildings like super ******** man. Your also not as flimsy as a mere human. Plus if you look deep within.. you have a new power. No i can not tell you its name- you have to find it. If that doesn't work- your fists will."
Now that she was done with Sailor Senshi 101- she decided to pay attention to the task on hand. She could hear the Youma up ahead- its rampage was slowly leadying them towards more civilized area's. Aka- more humans. Crap.
"We must hurry." She then heard the call... someone was calling for the youma? youma are sometimes too retarded to listen to that things! Making a detour- she bolted in the direction of the other senshi. Skidding to a hault she looked up into the female... male? Doiesnt matter! Senshi's eyes. "The youma is doubling around towards town its jsut up ahead!" Turning around she ran back for the newest senshi again.

Skirted Senshi was a boy? Then again, Tallulah - or Sailor Europa now - realized after a moment, she was wearing shorts, so outfit design did not seem indicative of gender anymore. And the cat was still yelling at her! (How could cats yell?)
She decided not to worry about it. All of this had just gotten far too weird, far too fast, and between the rampaging piece of playground equipment and the angry cat that spoke english, the sarcastic feline was the least of her worries.
As she made her way back to where Angry Elephant was trying to gore Boy in a Skirt, she puzzled over the last bit of information. "If you look deep within... You have a new power." What was that supposed to mean? It sounded like something out of a Karate Kid sequel. And she didn't have time for that, because Boy in a Skirt had decided to use himself as human bait!
When would people realize that was a dumb idea?
Sailor Europa decided that her first official act as a Senshi would be to not allow her potential ally to be killed by animated playground equipment.
"Hey ugly! Over here!" she yelled, which was good in that it got the thing's attention but was bad in that it was now headed towards her.
Oh, crap thought Sailor Europa mildly, and decided that if she had any fabulous powers now would be a good time to discover them. She had... She had a hunch.
She opened her mouth and hoped that this paid off.
"Europa deep ocean pressure!" she yelled. Angry Elephant Thing froze and made a noise like it was straining to take a crap. She ran towards Boy in a Skirt (what was his name?)
"I don't know how long that'll hold it," she said. "Got any ideas?"

The weird elephant wasn't coming his way. That was strange. Usually, when something was insulted, it wanted to beat the person who said nasty things up. Pyxis waited patiently nonetheless, until he was approached by a frantic cat.
"Oh, hey kitty!" Cool, another talking cat! He couldn't help feeling a little disappointed when the kitty didn't stick around for pettings, but knew that he had a job to do. It sounded pretty urgent when she'd told him the trajectory of the youma, after all.
"Okay, okay!" He chased after the kitty, following her as best he could, until he saw another Senshi running towards him. He felt his heart skip a beat - he hadn't ever met another Senshi before! "Um, um! My fireflies only make them really confused...'cause...they can't see." This wasn't good; he needed more tactical practice.
The terrible monster stopped making its terrible noise and exchanged it for something that sounded like a snort-retch, sending disgusting, goopy, half-digested mulch chips from the playground onto the ground in front of it. Pyxis didn't like it at all.
"Let's get it out of the trees! Maybe we can beat it up with something from the playground? We have to get it away from the people, that's what the kitty said!" He glanced towards the youma, who was again coughing up disgusting chips of mulch. Biting his lip, he darted towards it when it seemed to be paying the least attention, and smacked it squarely in its side with all of his might. "TAG, ha!" He immediately began running again, tugging on the other Senshi as he passed. "C'mon, we gotta go!"

Once the two senshi were together- Chloe felt like she had done her job as a guardian. It was now the senshi's turn to show what they could do- the feline could only do so much.
She watched pyxis kick the Elephant youma- and then dart away. Rather than become the toe jam- she felt it better to follow the two senshi. In instances like these- Chloe found it was better to watch from a distance. She wanted to reassure them that itl be ok but, she knew that they knew what to do deep down. Once they reached a more open area- Chloe darted out of range of the battle so that she would not get in the way. If the two succeeded- she would leave without another word. She would be there in case they needed any sort of backup... but chloe knew if it came to that- theyd more than likely ALL be elephant youma toe jam.

The playground. Right. Europa followed the Boy in a Skirt and the rampaging Angry Elephant (why had he used himself as human bait again?) out of the woods and looked around for anything they could use. "Head for the far side of the swing set!" she yelled to the other Senshi as he pulled her along. A plan was forming in her mind already, but they had to time it right if it was going to work. And pray that the laws of physics applied to playground objects like she thought they did.
They cleared the swing set with room to spare, and Tallulah looked behind her. The thing was still charging, heading right into the trap she'd figured out. Just a bit further, just a few more meters and...
CRASH.
The elephant became entangled in the swings, snagging its tusks and legs in the chains and slings. The structure groaned and then collapsed around it, pinning it to the ground.
"I'm glad that worked," breathed Europa, taking a few cautious steps towards the incapacitated Youma. "You got any ideas how to... er... kill it?" she asked.

It was surprising to Pyxis how, when wearing his adorable little skirt, it was much easier to run and run and run. Avoiding the youma he'd just tagged became so much easier when he did just that - and didn't stop until he heard the monumental crash of the swingset paired with the elephant thing.
He was going to miss that swingset.
After a millisecond moment of silence, he jogged towards Europa, tugging on her arm once again. "Heyy, that was really great thinking! I bet if we jump on it, it'll break apart! My mom always told me not to jump on them when I was little..r...so if we do it now, something has to happen to it! The kitties did say we were really strong."
No other plan of action was coming to mind; he knew that the only attack that came to his mind would do no more than the swingset had, and the other Senshi seemed to think that her attack wouldn't work for a killing blow either.
Overzealous as always, he neglected to wait for a reply and leapt onto the fallen youma, stomping and jumping with all of his might (while carefully avoiding the mouth and big, scary teeth). "If we both jump, it might smash its face in!" Oh, the things he thought he'd never say.

Europa followed the over-enthusiastic crossdressing boy onto the head of the fallen elephant, being equally careful to avoid its mouth and crushing teeth and feeling as if this kid reminded her of someone, but she couldn't place him. Following his example, she jumped up and down on the thing's cranium.
This was certainly not the way they ever killed monsters in movies.
After a few good bounces, the plastic began to cave beneath their feet. After a few more, it cracked and the elephant's head split along several different axes. The previously fearsome beast went still.
"Wow," she said, stepping out of the wreckage and offering a hand to the boy so he might do the same. She surveyed the damage they'd done, and could now understand why the Senshi were accused of being terrorists. They'd certainly totaled the swing set, not to mention the elephant.
"I don't think I caught your name," she said lamely to the boy.
