In the kingdom of Aduial (ah-dwee-ahl) fear and chaos rules supreme. A group of sorcerers seized control of dragons, becoming one with the great beasts, until they discovered that the dragons’ magic amplified their own. They were amazed, and soon began to think of themselves as unstoppable. One man in particular, thought of himself as a god. This man went by the name of Altarion and he slayed the king and queen of Aduial, taking over the entire kingdom, and sending out sorcerers and their dragons to enforce his rule upon the people of Aduial, one sorcerer per village. For the cities, it was usually more. Altarion and his minions terrorized Aduial for decades, the sorcerers also taking children to train them as their apprentices. The people had lost hope, and Altarion’s army grew stronger every day. But recently, four young commoners found a bond with dragons. They became partners, each having a dragon, and began to gain the ability to use magic through the bond with their partners. The four banded together, beginning to travel together, moving on a journey to end Altarion’s reign and free their kingdom. Though with them being so new at this, it was imperative for them to find teachers, and so they set on a journey to each find a teacher as well, though in this time, it's hard to find a good teacher that isn't trying to kill you...
