Hobbies:
Fencing -- Originally an adventure into discipline alongside his father, fencing is something that Rikard kept up with even after he was dropped off at Hillworth by his parents. He views the forced discipline as a way to test himself and his boundaries while going through the moves and finding a good competition during tournaments is always a bonus.
Swimming -- Another sporty activity, Rik enjoys throwing himself into the pool for mindless laps either to vent off steam or to just get in some good exercise. If you're up for a race he's up for that as well, never too tired for a little friendly competition.
Sneaking Out -- Girls Boys just want to have fun, right? Occasionally Rik likes to push boundaries and test limits in other ways. Cocky enough to not put much thought into what'll happen if he gets caught (or maybe he hopes he'll get caught and the school will notify his parents...), Rik enjoys attempting to sneak out, always up for a night on the town. Know any good clubs in the area?
Dirty Little Secret -- Half the time Rik finds himself sneaking out it's so he can participate in a Magic: The Gathering tournament. Rik loves playing Magic; creating armies from his deck and seeing just how well he can outsmart and outplay his opponent. It's just another form of friendly competition, even if it's not an athletic one.
Virtues:
"Stand by me, woooaaah stand by me..." Dependable -- If Rik has made some sort of commitment he'll stand by whomever and/or whatever it is that he's committed himself to with an unwavering fierceness. The phrase 'through thick or thin' comes to mind; there is nothing that Rikard wouldn't do for a friend, be it loan them a few dollars or take one for the team.
"Up for a game?" Competitive -- Rik's athletic streak has given him a good competitive nature. He's always up for a friendly challenge, complete with giving you hints on what to do better next time if you hope to win. He's definitely the guy you'd want to have on your side, be it in gym class or maybe even while out gathering star seeds. He looks for each challenge as a chance to improve, either by pushing his own limits or expanding the limits of others.
"Honestly?" Straight-forward -- While many would consider this a flaw, most of Rik's friends seem to appreciate the almost blunt honesty that flows from his mouth when he's asked for his opinion. He refuses to completely candy-coat things, believing that as much as the first impact might sting it's better off in the long run than hiding true opinions and getting caught in what could wind up being called a lie. This doesn't mean he doesn't know when to soften things, though. Often enough he's at least trying to be constructive. Note: This virtue is definitely a double-edged sword. It's something that people will either love or hate and I would like to think that those who are the closest to him would know to appreciate it for what it is... Once they get past wanting to slug him for it, if they're that type.
"Check Mate!" Strategic --
Flaws:
"That's mine!" Jealous -- Often something that he tries to suppress, Rik can't help but be jealous when it seems like others are coming out on top. More attention, more affection, more of a reason for him to hold on tightly to something that belongs to him so he doesn't risk losing it. This tends to make him easy to provoke, especially when it comes to whether or not he perceives someone trying to take one of his friends away.
"I said I've got it." Obstinate -- If Rik says he'll do something that means he'll do it and he'll do it right... Or he'll die trying. He won't back down even when it's obvious that he's going to loose, hell bent on carrying out whatever idiot task he was sent on that's gotten him knocked around.
"Wrong me once, shame on you, wrong me twice... You're dead." Vindictive -- More as a part of the Negaverse then as a student, since being a student seems to require a little more restraint when it comes to smiting your foes, Rik is not a fan of those who exploit his weaknesses or thwart him. He'll do his best to return the favor in a relatively painfreeful manner. Note: In the event that someone causes a friend to 'wrong' him he views it more as the other person's fault as opposed to the fault of his friend. He will always attack the 'instigator' first.
Afraid of Being Alone/Being Left Behind -- The darkness can be all consuming and it seems to spread the fastest through the heart when one is afraid. It's easy to manipulate someone when you know their greatest weakness and Rikard is terrified that the world as he knows it and his friends as he knows them will all move on without him. Jealous of new things and experiences, prone to bitter resentment at mention of of new friends... Deep down there's just a hole growing, constantly reminding him that once they're gone he's all alone.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Eyes: Bright blue; average eye shape. Penetrating.
Hair: Pale silvery blue; long, choppy layers (shortest layer around nose, longest past shoulders).
Face: Oval; soft, average lips, normal ears, soft/pretty features.
Body: Athletic build.
Fashion:
At Home: Relaxed and comfortable; loose fitting pants and a comfortably snug shirt. Favorite pair of sneakers ftw. Athletic armbands.
At School: Somewhat professional and a bit cocky; rolled up sleeves and loose collar when permitted. Not a fan of ties.
Negaverse: Professional with a side of arrogance; ready for business with his a** kicking boots and 'I'm tough s**t' jacket.

Stealing the following from the current contest... Because I'd really rather see the artist have fun than dictate something completely myself.

General -- ???
Information About Richterite:
Color -- Blue, Brown, Brown red, Gray violet, Yellow.
Properties -- Transparent to translucent; brittle and uneven; glassy.
Mystical Properties -- Calmness, relaxation and strength. Believed to help balance action and reaction.
Chakra Association -- Throat. (Added because I am amused that his weapon focuses on strangulation... And we found the stone before we decided on the weapon and I just now looked up the properties after compiling info)

I think that perhaps determination should be under his virtues, since it is generally considered a virtue (even if it sometimes has negative impact on the situation) and the two virtues you've got do look rather lonely. I realize that you're playing the more 'flaw aspect' of someone being unable to back down, but many virtues are a two-way street.
Hmm, the only other thing that I find a little odd is his weapon going from a sleep mask, to a weighted sash/more impressive sleep mask to a sword with a weighted ribbon. The sword seems a little disconnected to me, perhaps it would be better suited to something more in fitting with the sleep mask theme. (or if the theme is the ribbons, perhaps a continuation of the clothy theme?)
But those are just my impressions, someone may disagree or suggest something different.

Flaws are always easier to point out than virtues, I think, but I thank you for your input on that and I'll take it into consideration as I waffle over some other things. I've also still been tossing various weapon ideas around in my mind and I may be able to make a bit more sense of what I've got with a few tweaks. The sleep mask itself started out as a joke on the idea of trying to kick someone's a** blindfolded. XD

 I am really liking the idea of Rik. I think he's going to be a very interesting character. Just a few things need to be fleshed out first. The flaws? Awesome! I especially love that he's afraid of being left behind/alone. That is going to make for some amazing RPs. The virtues, though are very bare-bones at the moment. Loyalty is used by everyone, so you really need to explain Rik's ideas of loyalty, what he'll do, who he'll do it for, what would break that loyalty... Basically, explain HIS loyalty. It would be different than yours, mine, or Charonite's. So you've got to be specific ^_~ Competitive... I'd like to know more on how it's a virtue? It's a personality trait, but generally more neutral or even a flaw. It CAN be good, so I want to know how it's a good thing for Rik. How does it help him - socially, in school, in battle? Determination isn't coming across as a virtue. You're describing a flaw, so if that's how you meant it, just rename it to something like Over-Commits or Never Backs Down. And if you do move it back down to a flaw, I think he'll need another virtue to help balance things out. So yeah, just a little bit more work needed. But I'm liking him a lot! ^_^

Alright! Loyalty has been switched to Dependable. I think the word fit what I had in mind a bit more. I added a little bit to it but even after some brain-wracking I was stuck on how to continue expanding it without just repeating myself.
I added some more on to Competitive and I hope that does a little more to add it as a plus. I may look it over again tomorrow after I've gotten a little more sleep. XD
Straight-forward was added on as a virtue and although I know it can go both ways (and most likely will) I tried to bring it to light as well because I see it as being a good thing and I know I appreciate it when others are honest/straight-forward with me.
Determination is now Obstinate and it's been tossed back down into flaws where it belongs. XD <3

Everything looks pretty good to me! I'd POSSIBLY add another virtue only because you have 4 flaws and three virtues, and one of the said virtues is admittedly partially a flaw. If he's a man's man, a dude's dude, a guy's guy (friendly in the most manly sort of way) you could add that to the virtues perhaps?
I have to admit i'm BAFFLED as to why his starting weapon is a sleep mask and it turns in to a sword? Like, seriously baffled @_@

Honestly? Because it seemed like a good idea at the time. XD I'll go through the list of already-done weapons again once I'm a little more awake and see what I can do about fixing that, along with putting some pondering into another virtue.

Weapon's been updated. Working on that virtue but that'll have to wait until either after I get home from work tonight or after I get home from work tomorrow.

Hobbies: What does he do other than fencing and swimming, and it's not late enough to sneak out? I'm just curious here, but I think another hobby would be nice. One of the guys! -- I have a hard time believing that he just "is." D: If I could have an example, maybe? You're currently telling me what he is -- I'd like you to SHOW me that he's one of the guys, or at least have him admit to saying that he THINKS he's "that guy." Also, I don't think negaverse characters can have magical weapons, though you'll need to ask rose or natsu to confirm this. You might want to consider thinking up some back-up weapons, just in case. Those things are the only things holding me back from giving this the okay stamp. You're almost there!

Taken from the front page of the shop: Captain This is the second stage. Your uniform is updated. Your weapon gets an upgrade to become a magical weapon. You also gain the ability of teleportation. I'll see what I can do about double-checking on that, though.
