The most famous area of Las Vegas is the strip.
Interestingly only a small part of the strip is in the City of Las Vegas!
Most of it runs through unincorporated towns of Paradise and Winchester.
The Las Vegas Strip is slightly less than four miles long but it seems bigger than life - bright light city indeed!
All of that neon can really mess up your brain.
When we visited I was only ten years old. I didn't sleep for the whole three days we were there! Every time I closed my eyes I saw lights!!
There was surprisingly a lot for kids to do in "sin city" but that said? I wouldn't recommend taking kids there.
Off-strip there are A LOT of drugged vagrants and prostitutes. One of them propositioned my brother who was only 14!!
The face of the strip is ever changing. If you've ever seen the film Viva Las Vegas starring Elvis Presley then you will be amazed at how many of those iconic places are no longer in existence but in there place many other spectacular hotels and casinos have popped up.
