Kuhn, still a very young kit, opened his eyes and peered around his father's den. The morning sun was just starting to rise and cast a little light into the entrance. Around him, his family was curled up and still sleeping... but Kuhn wasn't tired anymore. He got up and padded over to look at the sun as it rose.

Sly and San were both curled up around each other, and when little Kuhn stirred she woke and waddled over to her brother. "Meh!" She said and butted him with her head. She still had trouble grasping the language and could only say small words and sentences.
Sly woke and peered around for San. He saw that she was okay and laid his head back down with a yawn.
Wulfe sniffed the air in his den and it still smelled of Carmen. So he was happy. He didn't even open his eyes. Little did he know, Carmen left him a little gift...

The night before, the kit's mother, Carmen, had snuck them in there. She told them that she was going to be gone for a while, and that the blue nova was their father. It was hard for Kuhn to really understand what she meant, but he did notice that they all looked like Wulfe.
He turned and pawed at his sister when she bumped him, his paws still tiny and his claws soft.

Wulfe awoke to the sound of... "Wait were those kits...!" He jolted awake and saw three little kits in his den! He didn't know what was going on, and where Carmen was. He looked around frantically and then wandered over to the kits. They all still smelled like Carmen.
"What is going on little ones.... Where is your mother!?!" Wulfe watched them hoping that they could talk well enough to tell him.
Little San wandered over to Wulfe and butted her head into his leg, "Da..." She looked up at him with such cute eyes. Sly woke and waddled over to his dad, and sat next to San. He looked up at the Nova that looked so much like him and said, "Pa!"
San and Sly looked at Kuhn and waited for him to come over and sit next to their daddy.

Kuhn walked over slowly, making sure that this older Nova wasn't dangerous in any way. His brother and sister both looked happy, so he figured it was true that this nova wasn't harmful. He finally sat down on the other side of San and let out a soft mewing sound, unlike San and Sly who had actually tried to speak.

San and Sly watched Kuhn sit there for a bit then he made the mewing noise. San and Sly smiled and looked up at Wulfe. They both mewed too.
Wulfe started to feel a little woozy. He knew what had happened. Carmen had left him to care for the kits. He laid down with his paws tucked beneath him. Little Sly mimicked him. He smiled at him and licked all three of them on their little heads. He had a family to raise now. Mother or no mother.

Kuhn felt satisfied that this male would be good to him and his siblings. He decided that he wanted to play a little bit, then. Sly was laying down now so he ducked down awkwardly, stalking him and pouncing.

Sly flipped over on his back at the last second on bounced his brother into the air. Sky smiled and looked at Kuhn flying into the air.
Wulfe watched the two play while he groomed little San. 'Silly kits... They look a lot like me... But little Sly had his mothers eyes.' He sighed and wished that she had stayed. But she was scared the moment they got together. So it was inevitable. He would try his best to raise the kits.

Kuhn landed not far away with a little flop. Startled, he let out a frightened squeak and scrambled up, hiding behind his father.

"Kuhn! Are you alright...?" Wulfe nuzzled and licked the poor little kit. "Sly, now no more of that. You can't hurt your brother."
Sly gave his father a plaintive look that said, "Its not my fault... He pounced on me first."

"DI' NOT!" Kuhn said, peeking out and sticking his tongue at his brother. Of course, he had... and Wulfe had probably seen it.

Wulfe swatted Sly on his bum and said, "Now now... You two! Enough. Come one now. You are all probably hungry. So stay put and I will go catch some food! And you be nice to each other! I am having a friend look after you all!
Wulfe stepped out of his Den and ran right into Rayne. "What luck! Rayne I am glad that I caught you! I need a babysitter for a few hours. I have to find some food." "Sure Wulfe I can watch some kits for you! But when you get back I have a few questions for you!"
Rayne wandered into the den and sat down looking at all the kits that strangely reminded her of another Nova she had seen once.
Sly and San stared at the newcomer. Who was a bright blue colored Nova.

Kuhn was shocked by the sudden stranger. He puffed himself out, trying to appear larger. "Who're you?" He asked Rayne, tying to look tough.

Sly and San watched the show.
Rayne looked at the little kit and rolled him over on his back with her tail. "You are certainly a cute little guy. You look a lot like your daddy." Rayne smiled and tickled the little kits belly.

"Hey, I asked you a--" Kuhn began, but when she tickled him he stopped in mid sentence and let out a low laughing purr sound. "H-hey!" He said, flailing his little legs in the air.
