firstly, Itachi's my second fav akatsuki. secondly, that animation and quote in ur post is awesome! biggrin thirdly, i havnt read the manga either but im with tentenchan on this: long and lotsa flashbacks, it's the way of the shinobi ninja

Deidara pretty much joined akatsuki because of his pride(got owned by itachi)... Hidan and Kakuzu because of their gods, Jashin and Money(?)...
and Zetsu.... well, he's just a plant... cant say anything more than that....damn Aloe Vera...
