Tell us what you like to play and why!
We all have different styles and different loves so share them!
One of my favourite songs to play was Variation on a Korean Folk Song. It was hard and challenging but it was fun. ^^ I learned a lot and had a good time.
What about you?

i like playing with a jazz band because its not all written out and you can make up what you want to play if you have a solo as long as it sounds good

I don't usually get a choice as to what I get to play.. sad I wish I could play some rock music but I lack the money to buy the extra sheet music.

There is a lot of free sheet music out on the internet.
Also, a book of just rock music isn't too bad if it is just for one instrument.

When I was first learning to play Clarinet we played Ode to joy. Just a small part of it. I really like Ode to Joy. It was simple and its fun to play even now.

Im starting to learn how to play violin! but Im way too far away to even start playing like apocalyptica You should look into Bond as well. I don't know if they're style is something you'd like, since it's classical mixed with pop/techno (or something like that, I'm horrible at deciphering genres outside of classical music), but it's a string quartet, so it has two violins. Samples on their website: http://www.bondmusic.net/

Maxsim (I don't think that is right....) has some really good music out. He does a techno version of flight of the bumblebee.
