Ok, my 3 years old is desperately wanting to be potty trainined. He's taking off his diaper when he pottys in it. He sits on his potty seat, but hasn't potty'd in the toilet yet. He refuses to keep his diaper on if he uses it at all.
But I've never potty trained a child, any child. And for some reason it terrifies me that I'm gonna mess up. sweatdrop
So lots of tips are totally welcome.

Trust me, you won't mess up. Take comfort in knowing that you've never met an adult who hadn't learned potty training as a child xd
Pull-ups are great if he doesn't like diapers anymore. They look more like underwear, but still prevent a big mess in case of accidents.
It's fun to have a box in the bathroom full of books and toys, so if they want to stay on the toilet until they do it, they have something to do. I actually have a lot of fond memories of just sitting there next to my kids telling them stories about flying rubber ducks or blowing bubbles for them.
