Howdy folks.

I'm rather new and most of you probably don't know me in the least, but that ain't gonna stop me from throwing myself out there and picking up on the vibes of you veteran lot! I've been poking around in here and for the most part I like what I've seen, especially the amount of detail presented in character creation as well as the accompanying restrictions. I can't tell you how many times I've stared at profiles in the Naruto universe and just wanted to blow my brains out with a shotgun, so it's an incredibly big relief to see characters who don't quite "cut it" not being allowed to slip on by.

But I digress. I'm entertaining the thought of creating a combat resource guild for the style used by this particular character of mine, one which has roleplaying implications and might go along very well with all this business. I've noticed I created a character for a village that doesn't quite exist yet, but luckily what I have in mind doesn't have any (direct) political ties in the short-term.

The Shokaku School existed within the Lightning country, but since the presumed passing of its old master it has fallen into obscurity, and with a young genin the last remaining caretaker it is far beneath the notice of the noble houses. I thought to set the young Kaien off on a journey, searching for the whereabouts of his father and for potential allies for both school and country; his actions and leaving without notice may seem treacherous to Kumogakure, but his intent is the strengthening and acquisition of allies to his country as a whole, and he is very loyal. I'd like to tie this in very much with the events happening in the individual villages, and likewise I'd like to adhere to the rules and structure and their moderation.

In short I'd like to work with you guys to provide more story opportunities, flesh out at least a partial role for Kumogakure, and create a sub-forum dedicated within the allied guild specifically geared toward "training arcs" whether within or outside the context of the Shokaku school both as an IC and OOC resource. I think having a place where people can play out their training and interact with other roleplayers throughout(i.e. sparring, teaching/instruction) without cluttering a main village thread would be beneficial. It's also easier to moderate.

Edit: The barebones setup for the guild is complete. I'm also submitting my services as an OOC teacher to assist others in sprucing up their roleplaying skills, creating profiles and jutsu, and other nonsense.

Great! Good to know you guys are working on it. I didn't want to just jump in without having any sense of direction.

Well, if you think about it this idea is more or less like a shop. Instead of items it sells techniques.

Of corse of corse, but I'm just thinking the set up can e the same. Heero has a shop, but he still rp's out the creation process of the items he sells. So you do go through with the school you could use the shop sheet to make it.

Speaking of which, we should make that sheet available to the general public.

Oh definitely, I meant the format for how to make a shop. My own shop is actually RPed out directly in the Getsugakure thread, so it's rather public.
