[[Ingore the dice roll XD]]
Azar was a little grumpy as she woke up this morning. When she woke up she had no clue where her sister was they were going to go out and spend the day together. But when Azar woke up Zii was already out and spending time with that MALE Rowtag. On top of that Azar didn't even like him! But on top of that now Azar didn't have anyone to really spend her day with. She wasn't supposed to train today, and her father was busy... She sighed slightly before trotting toward the borders of the pride. She had to do something today even if it was be grumpy away from the others. Or watch the borders even if it wasn't her job or something that she wouldn't normally do. All that mattered to her was that she wanted to get away.
She paced the borders with a sneer on her face. Growling occasionally. She had the firekin temper for sure, even though most of the time she was sweet and most of the way nice just like her father in some ways. Yet once you mad her mad she had the growling and the teeth just as any other firekin. She had the large body for fighting and she would take advantage of that anytime that she could when she was mad that is.
She huffed as she swiped at the dirt in front of her. She needed something to do or some one to talk to. She grunted slightly as she flopped down on her haunches before looking around before something caught her eye. She made a face before jumping back to her feet and wandering toward a large red male. She swiped a the male and hissed. "Halt." She commanded simply before standing up as much as she could. She was smaller than the male but she didn't care, all she knew was that she had the confidence to take on anyone.

Khin'del was an old soul. Young in years and physique, but had the personality of a war-hardened old geezer. He'd been raised with 'tough love', and toughened up from the time of his birth. One would have thought that now, free from his parents, he would seek a peaceful existence. No, not Khin. He'd heard tales of the desert-dwelling Firekin. It had intrigued him when he was young, but his parents never dared go near the lands of the fire lions. He dared.

Azar paused as she kept an eye on the male. She was looking pretty unfriendly at the moment, yet at the same time she had this curious face on her. She wanted to know who this male was and why he was here. He looked like another firekin but one would never be so sure. Was he an ex-safi? There was a chance, she didn't like them. Yet, there is a chance that he could just be a rogue. Her father said that rogues were important to the pride, to get new blood into the pride. She quickly started to trot up to the male a little faster, eying him carefully before circling him and raising a brow. "Who are you?" She demanded again, she was wondering if her father woudl be proud of her for stopping the male. She was pretty sure that he would be proud of her. Yeah! Of course she would she was watching the pride.
"Why are you here?"

At first Khin had tried to act as if he hadn't noticed the younger female. He tried to hold his regal, arrogant, soldier air. However, it didn't seem this girl would be ignored. He took a seat on the warm sands. He tilted his head so he was looking down at her with half-lidded eyes.
"My name is Khin'del. I've been stalking the border here for some time now-" in truth, he had arrived last night. "My goal is to seek passage into the lands, and become a full-fledged member. I was told by a dispelled member that I am to do battle with one of equal age, and win, before I would be permitted to step foot within. It is now I wait here. You are too young for me to fight." At lest, that what Khin'del's assessment. It was hard to tell his age however. With a personality such as his, it certainly hid his youth.

Azar watched him carefully, her ear's twitched as her whiskers as she watched him. She didn't want this male to get away with anything oh no, with Azar here she wasn't going to let him get by with anything! Oh no not with her here! She gave him a skeptical look before snorting. "Some time now?" She questioned before laughing at shaking her head. "I doubt it, some one would have found you. Beside my father checked the borders the other day, he said they were all clear." She growled and then circled the male once more. He wasn't that bad looking that was for sure.
"That is how you become a member." She said quietly before eying him. She hated when other's told her she was too young. She hated those age rules, she knew for a fact that she could take on any of the lions that wandered up to these borders. But then again between her colors, her age and her gender many others didn't believe that she could take on anyone. She really wouldn't be surprised if some one wanted her to be nanny instead of a solider. She huffed before growling slightly at the male. "So you think you're good enough to be a firekin?" She growled.

There was one definite thing with Khin'del - he had no secrets.
"I arrived sometime during the night. I have paced a short distance from where we are now since before the rise of the sun." Khin looked to the sky, where the sun now hung high. The heat rat radiated from it, and off the ground must have been hell to a creature as dark as this young lioness. Even Khin's own coat, deep blood red as it was, absorbed much of the desert heat, making it on some days a burden, but he'd been raised in harshness. Mind over matter was as common a practice to him as breathing.
"I know I am." He said in reply to her question.

Azar circled the male once more before flopping down on her haunches in front of him. Still keeping her eyes on him, she wans't that sure of him. She knew that some wanted to join and this was the best way to get in to wait for some one to show up. Man she wished that he was the same age as her, she'd love to fight right now. Her claws dug into the ground just at the idea of it before looking up at him with a small smirk on her face. "Oh really?" She chuckled slightly before looking down at her paws, examining her claws before looking back up at him. "That would end up interesting. I could probably take you on and win." She laughed as she spoke as the smirk still held on her face.

"You would be sure to lose," Khindel spoke, shaking his head, "because you underestimate me. Where's your Firekin honor I've heard so much about?" He was now pacing before her, chastising her. There was a smirk on his dark red face.

Azar looked at the male and curled her lips back into a snarl, he really though he could win. She flicked her tail around behind her, it making that annoyed twitch as she watched him. But yet something about him in a way fighting back caught her interest. She smirked slightly as she eyed him, he didn't seem like one to give up easily. She flopped down on her haunches in front of him with the same smirk on her face. "I have honor, I have pridetoo. I was born here, I'm a firekin. But the question is are you?" She glanced back over her shoulder, checking to see if anyone was coming. She knew her dad wasn't a big fan of her being a guard, but then again she was growing, he couldn't get mad at her for wandering toward the borders a few times.

"I have been raised with a harsh paw, had to fight for my right to live from day one. I've been taught pride and honor, and acquired a determination to protect the ideals I've taken to heart. If not in blood than in spirit I am every bit a Firekin as your royals" A determined shine was in his amber eyes. He was confident. He was proud. Khin'del, the rugged warrior had the heart of a Firekin. His blood might not have been, but it was strong none the less. What more could the pride wish for, other than Finar-si herself? Oh wait - they did not believe in their goddess anymore, did they? Funny the things one could learn from a weary rogue. Rather than merge with their 'forsaken' brethren, the rogue had chosen to leave the deserts. No Matter. Khin'del could more than take their place.

Azar arched a brow at him as he spoke. He was raised by a harsh paw... He had to fight to live... He sounded like he was cut out, then again she wasn't one to judge that, it was all up to the one who was going to fight him. She stood up and shook her coat out. "Well I guess I maybe seeing you in the pride soon, if you can manage to beat some one here." She snorted slightly as she looked at him. She really couldn't wait until she was old enough to fight rouges. She fought and trained for so long it was hard to find some one who could take her seriously. She hated it.

"I will try again and again if I have to. You'll be seeing me again. No doubts there." How long would he have to wait though? The border was large, and if all that guarded it were these young ones (although he wasn't much older himself...) than he'd be waiting a good while. Khin'del heaved a sigh and sat back down. He flung a bit of sand with his tail. Patience would be a virtue.

"Sure, Sure." She laughed slightly before nodding to him. "Welll if you are so confident, see you soon." She turned around before standing up and wandering toward the main part of the lands. she was thinking about telling some one about the challaneger at the borders... Now that she thought about it... She didn't even tell him her name.. Owell!
