[1] RESPECT o Every member is to post with Restraint, Courtesy, and Respect towards their audience. No matter if the message goes up or down the Chain Of Command, every member will be held fully accountable for their words and any meaning derived from them. Remember, to gain respect, you must first give it wholeheartedly.
o Regarding Members: All Enlisted members are expected to call all Moderators "Sir" or "Ma'am" accordingly. An exception to this is in Private Messages, where orders are not required to be followed, or otherwise outside the realm of the S.T.A.R.S, as defined later in this thread.
o Regarding Moderators: All Moderators must conduct themselves with restraint and dignity. This includes not starting or engaging in arguments or contests of will, as well as showing no bias in arguments between subordinates. [2] T.O.S., GUILD REALM o It should go without saying that because we are a Guild on GaiaOnline's Website, everyone here-in is bound to the "Gaia Online" Terms of Service. If you are unfamiliar with these Terms, you may refresh your memory here. Reportable behavior includes, but is not limited to: stalking, racism, harassment, religious intolerance, cybering, and "botting". If you are reported to a Gaia Mod, it is reasonable to expect to be Banned from the Guild as well.
o S.T.A.R.S. sphere of influence encompasses all sub-forums, threads and posts that exist in the "Special Tactics And Rescue Services" guild, and sponsored threads that exist in the Community Forums or Official Profiles. This includes Recruitment/Information Threads, where our Public Relations duties are in effect. Outside of these areas, the S.T.A.R.S Rules hold no sway, nor do ranks, orders given by Moderators, or warnings of punishment. However, Common Sense and the Gaian Global Mods are still quite prevalent factors to consider before you show disrespectful conduct.
Regarding Foreign Dignitaries
o Those who visit our Guild must adhere to all of these rules, in addition to conducting themselves in a manner that does not provoke our own members. Your own rank and office will be respected, and you are exempt from our Punishment System. However, you are not immune to losing this Amnesty and being Banned, so please keep your business here friendly and respectful. You must gain permission from a Mod before taking part in any RPs or posting any material. [3] POSTING o Front-Page posting shall NOT be done by members who are of the member rank and/or who have been in the guild for less than One (1) Week. Exceptions to this include pertinent Announcements, "Introduce Yourself Here" threads, "Chatter" threads and their kin. If an idea must be presented, it can be brought up in that Open Chat Forum, brought to the attention of a Moderator, or made known to a Guild Crew Member via PM's.
[4] DISCIPLINE
o There may come a time when the Warnings and Punishment System must be enforced. Refer to the posts below to learn more about that. Arguments and purposefully-controversial threads or topics of discussion are subject to deletion and follow-up with punishment to anyone the Moderator feels was involved. If you take grievance to this, it is strongly recommended you do so in a PM to the appropriate Moderator to avoid another punishment - but be mindful of the harassment rule. [5] IT'S GOOD TO BE KING...o This rule means that Moderators, and Crew members all have the final word in an argument (their Jurisdiction amongst each-other is listed from most supreme to least). When in doubt, know that any member marked "Crew", "Vice Captain" or "Captain" in the Guild Members list has the final authority, and the final word. These rules are subject to change without any prior warning and at the discretion of the Guild Moderators, so refer to them periodically to remain up-to-date.
... But Heavy Lays the Crown. If a Crew Member is seen acting in an undesirable fashion (as defined by all of the above rules or a Vice Captain's own preference), or their Term of Service is up, they may be demoted. It is the responsibility of any subordinate who notices non-civil or dangerous behavior from a Crew Member, to notify an active/online Vice Captain or the Guild Captain. All Crew Members are expected to uphold all of their duties (as outlined to them by a Vice Captain) at all times, and always remain in a state of vigilance for those who may be attempting to circumvent these above rules. They must also leap at the opportunity to aide other members or Crew.~Provided by UGMF~

o ROLEPLAYING RULES ETC.1. No godmodding, autohitting, etc.
2. Level of Romance is PG-13
3. If you get injured/wounded at anytime during the rp, you must limp around until you are able to take care of the wound. Were looking to make this as real as possible.
4. You can only carry so many weapons at a time, So no carring hundred rocket lauchers Etc. Realism is the Key. Heavier weapons will slow you down, more than a person carring only a pistol.
5. If you want to kill someone please pm them and myself first.
6. This is a Literate rp. Wich means NO-One-Liner posts. Please use described details, an no Txt Talk. Type Out your Words!
7. For OOC talk please go to the OOC Forum.
8.You may have only one character.
9.To join post your RPC in the designated fourm, Once you have done so then you may rp, after you check in with myself through a pm.
10. Cursing/Foul language is aloud but please don't over do it, Keep with the Tos. Because if we get shut down then i'm gonna be really pissed.
11. Label where you are at all times, even if it is say a plane flying over the U.S. Make sure it is BOLD and UNDERLINED and placed at the top of your post.
12. More Rules can always be added, do not forget that.
13. Have FUN! Also please when you post make sure to take your signature out that way it will be the posts only!
