Ahava sat waiting for her niece smiling to herself. Today she was going to teach, or at least attempt it. She was happy that her ability as a huntress had lead to this opportunity but nervous as well because she had not actually tired to teach anyone anything ever. Even as a cub she always been to focused on become a great huntress to really think about anything else.

She currently felt rather impatient and mentally checked it off as one of the things she would need to work on. She swayed her tail back and forth and thought back to her own hunting lesson. She'd been so excited to be able to do something for the pride, that she could hardly sleep the night before. She kept fidgeting and waking through the night.

She laughed lightly to herself remember that after her lesson she'd crashed and slept straight through meal time. She had been something when she was younger and she was still the same way really. Her excitement and eagerness she hadn't grown out of. So she was thankfully that she grown into intelligence and cautiousness.

Asenath hadn't slept a wink the night before. Too excited and too riled up. They were really going to go hunting! Today she would learn to be the best huntress the pride had! Well maybe not the best but certainly good! She'd been practicing her pouncing.

"Aunt Ahava!" Her voice shouted as the young lioness came bounding down the rocks to greet her. She nearly colided into the older lioness, only stopping herself a short foot away.

"Sorry I'm late, Aunt Ahava. Corbin was hungry..." He was her Klip. She'd left him with one of her siblings in the meantime. She brushed against the adult, a loud purr rumbling in her chest. "When do we start? Are we going after Zebra? Or maybe a full grown waterbuck!"

Ahava turned when she was called to and smiled seeing the form of her niece bounding over. "Good morning Ase, darling." She couldn't help smiling wider as her niece brushed against her.

At the same time she chuckled lightly," Feeding Corbin is important Ase and its good that you take good care of him."

Ahava stood and began to move off towards the hunting grounds. She knew Ase would follow, so she did not look back. "Ase I think for a first hunting adventure it would be rather unwise of me to allow you to go after such large prey. No, we shall go after something smaller. I wouldn't want anything to happen to you. My brother, your father, would be very displeased with me."

Ahava continued walking forward, not really paying attention to where she was going. She'd walked the route so often she could do it backwards with her eyes closed and her eyes down.

Asenath's ears lifted and she followed after her aunt with a excited flick of her tail. "Smaller...? Like what? Oh c'mon. You dad is over protective. He won't even let me out of pride boarders." She complained as she trailed after her then sped up to keep up by her side. She sniffed at the path they took trying to commit it to memory, curious about where it lead. Her aunt had obviously been down this way tons of times.

Ahava grinned knowing her little niece was correct. Eyal was overprotective, that was just how he was. He only wanted the best for him family and he meant well.

"Yes that is true and Ase you should stay away from the pride borders. Its for your own safety. What if you were stolen away, you father would be very sad and extremely worried. As would I."

Ahava smiled and continued forward, "First my dear Ase we need to test your hunting skills. I need you to show me how much you've learned thus far. The easy way for you to do this is to try to catch a hare. Afterward if you are successful we will try bigger game. Impala maybe. Also we will correct anything that needs to be corrected as far as you form."

"Who would a lion, aunt Ahava? It doesn't make any sense... I'm a huntress. I know how to survive... well I'm learning anyway." She mumbled putting her ears down.

She glanced up at the change of topic. "I do feed Corbin. He likes grass and there's a lot of that." She sighed a little. "I'm not made of bark, Aunt Ahava. I won't get hurt."

The lioness behind her followed thinking of a world where she could go outside the pride borders and hunt large prey. She didn't the danger.
