Appearance Description
Seren is a small boned girl with deep blue eyes and bright orangish red hair, usually quickly swept up into a ponytail with a blue hair tie. Her body is small and lithe, and her skin is slightly tanned. She wears golden tan leggings which reach her mid calf, and matching lace up golden tan sandals, a white short sleeved shirt worn under a red vest with gold embroidery that she wears a gold belt over, upon which she holds some ninja holsters for kunai. She wears brown fingerless gloves that reach up to her elbow.Her ears are pierced and she has small gold studs in each ear. On her neck is a simple round jade stone, hung on a black cord underneath the band that holds her Suna symbol, on her forehead, or over her eyes, depending on the situation, she wears rather large blacksmithing goggles. In her left hand or strapped on her back with a golden sash when not in use is a katana with a keen silver edge and a black hilt and a small golden rose engraved on the blade. The scabbard for the katana is also black.

Personality
Seren is a friendly girl who adores her father and village above everything else. She is very patient, a trait learned by helping in her father's forge, but has a bit of a temper that she fights to keep under control. She tends to be quiet when she first meets people, eventually opening up to be a very vibrant and talkative girl. She is very honset and sincere and would prefer not to decieve others. She worries constantly about her father's health.

History
Seren is an only child who was born in Sunagakure. Her mother, Aiko, died when she was very young, and she was raised by her father, Taran, who is a blacksmith that has resided in Suna since he was a born. Seren herself was raised helping her father in his smithing, mostly after school but sometimes she would miss school to help him work out rather large orders. An example of this happened when she was about eight, her father's forge, while outputting excellant work, was not very well known, and often struggled until one fateful day, it was discovered by a high ranking Suna official. After that for a few weeks, Seren and her father worked constantly to get many kunai, stars, and other weapons that were ordered. She was able to quickly make it up her school work afterwards, but soon after, her father decided to look for an assistant, which he never really filled, not finding anyone suitable for the job. Their luck changed with that discovery and soon her father had plenty of work, as the weapons he provided were of a higher quality than most of the other forges in Suna.
Despite her missing some days, Seren did very well at school, seeing it as an opportunity to help her village, and very proud to be training as a ninja. She got along with her teachers and classmates and showed a nautral affinity to taijutsu and some ninjutsu. Genjutsu she never did very well at all, and simply prefers not to use it, feeling it is better to fight an enemy head on than decieve with illusions.
Her father helped her forge her katana when she was eleven and she prefers it to the other weapons that she learned at the academy. While she wants to follow her father's footsteps, she also wants to be a great ninja and serve Sunagakure, and she struggles to make the two dreams not conflict.
The jade she wears under her Suna band is one that belonged to her mother, given to her the day she graduated by her father. She holds it very dear, as she has no real memory of her mother other than a soft lullaby.
About a year before graduation, her father's health started to turn bad and he would have a hard time breathing and would often clutch his chest. He tried not to let Seren notice, but she saw and since has taken an interest in medical nin skills.

Katana, worn in a scabbard on her back, in her left hand when in use
kunai, she has twenty, kept for the most part in pouches around her belt, but she also has four that she keeps in a leg holster on her left thigh and one hidden in a compartment on her left glove
caltrops, kept in a bag on her right side of her belt.

Armor
Her vest is durable linen with of light steel sewn into the chest, side, and upper back regions.
Her gloves also have steel reinforcement sewn in, and she wears her Suna headband at her neck.

She wears blacksmithing goggles across her forehead or over her eyes, depending on the situation.
She also has a small jade necklace worn under her Suna headband
She carries a first aid kit, only having learned basic first aid thus far in her studies of the medical field.
