As the sun rose in the matte colored sky, the forest began to stir. Lealia trotted slowly into the forest clearing, out from the shade and cool of the trees and into the growing warmth of the sun. Autumn had set upon the land, and the nights had a chill in the air, and the result was a brisk morning. The mare snorted a blast of hot steam from her nose, causing a little cloud of fog from her breath. A whispy fog hung around her ankles causing her hooves and the fur upon her ankles to be damp. Lealia reared her head back, shaking the hair from her eyes and slightly yawning. She walked over to the slow moving river and dipped her head low for a drink.

Anon had just finished the night bickering with his herd mates and was rather annoyed with it all. The other males all seemed so close minded, and that new trickster, Blink, was rather... pissing him off. He was already at the river on the other side, drinking slowly and ruing the night before. The morning was usually his night, just like the other males of the herd and he blinked a bit as he saw a mare across the way. She almost blended perfectly with the mist and foliage around, tho he kept quiet as he drank, still trying to decide to go unnoticed or not.

The mare's lids slowly closed as she drew in long gulps of cool water. When her eyes fluttered open, Lealia noticed ripples in the water coliding with her own she made; They stretched slowly from the opposite side of the bank. She lifted her head, her silver eyes scanning the bank and quickly landing on the maker of the water ripples. It was a stallion - one she had never seen before, but she hadn't met many other horses - she enjoyed being by herself mostly. One of her ears flicked back hesitantly before she called out across the river, "Nice morning, isn't it?"

His all black eyes had been shifting over her from time to time, not that he was even really thinking about it to be honest. He almost was startled when she spoke as he quite simply began to zone out a bit. He was about to ignore her, as he would normally but he figured she was far enough away to not really be a bother.
"Mhm..." was all he really offered at first.

Lealia didn't really notice that the stallion didn't offer a real reply. She had asked him a question, but mostly out of politeness. She wasn't that great with making small talk, so she mostly just avoided it. Her mind was already wandering off, filled with new day dreams and wild imaginations. Sometimes she felt she had a hard time keeping her mind focused on the thoughts at hand. The mare shook her head, tousling her curly mane about her face and neck, clearing the day dreams from her head. Lealia took a few steps closer to the water until her hooves were submersed in the river. The water was still cool from the overnight, but it was very refreshing. The mare took a few more steps forward until the water reached her knees. She pawed at the muddy river bottom, squishing mud into the soul of her hooves. Her lids feel closed and she happily snorted quietly.

Arching a brow as he watched her he kept his head low as if he were still drinking. Was there something wrong with her? She was acting like a child would... 'Are you mental?' he asked quite honestly. After all he did have a bad habit of speaking what was on his mind, even if it wasnt welcome or kind. He snorted a bit, finally lifting his head as he watched her, honestly curious. The water to him was freezing and she was just... standing in it! When he lifted his head, his long forelocks covered his all black eyes, his short tail flicked behind him, curious about this one.

One eye fluttered open and she eyed the male casually; Her dark lids made her iris stand out. "Perhaps,' was all she replied at first. The mare's long uni tail skimmed the water's surface, leaving little ripples in the otherwise calm river. Lealia remained in the cold water for a few more moments before she slowly waded to the side of the bank occupied by Anon. Once there, she stamped some of the dripping water off of her hooves and fur. "I find that wading in the river is very invigorating and helps to rouse my spirits in the early morning." She turned to the male, eying him carefully.

He just continued to watch her, still mostly in disbelief that someone would WANT to stand in that cold a** water. Her words and composure made it hard for him to be too snarky, as he was mostly taken back. When she came to the same bank that he was on he shifted a bit to get a better look at her, his all black eyes could now be faintly seen through his forelock and he only nodded. He didnt really know how to take this one. She didnt seem either too self conscious enough or too proud to pick on really... just... matter of fact. Finally he only nodded, his works rather sincere, "Ah... well... thats a good enough reason I suppose..."

Lealia found it a tad bit funny that the male was slightly taken aback, but she tried to keep her calm composure. She trotted slowly over to Anon, swishing her long tail. When she grew closer to his position, her words were soft and encouraging. "You should try it." She nodded towards the river, "I believe you would enjoy it, too." Lealia moved horizontally towards Anon and placed her shoulder on his flank and nudged him slightly towards the cold water.

For a moment he hesitated. He leaned a bit with her as she nudged him and just watched the cold water move by. Finally he shook his head and made a face tho he made no effort to move from her closeness. "No thanks. I dont like cold baths before bed," he said with a yawn. As it was, it was already later than he would normally be up. He looked at her, eyes narrowing a bit as he studied her almost bright features before easing a bit and shrugging. "Maybe Ill try it when I wake up... maybe your right."

Lealia slowly looped around the male's hindquarters and positioned herself parallel to him, facing the river. She watched the slow churning of the water as the sun run slowly in the sky, its rays dappling the river's surface in bright, shiny ripples. This was Lealia's favorite time of day; the time when the sun's warmth bid off the chill of the evening air. She couldn't imagine missing this for sleep. "True," she replied, her focus still on the water ahead of her. "You would not want to wake yourself up before you slumber.. but I must admit, your sleeping habits are a bit odd."

He moved his head to watch her, shifting a bit depending on which side of him she went to. His eyes never left her as he continued to just study her, almost in a sort of awe. She was a pretty one... even hot... and she wasnt a stuck up b***h like most other females he had run across.
He chuckled at her words and finally seemed to break out of his staring as he shook his head and looked back to the water. "Ah well, easier to cause problems," his voice picked up the snarky tone again. "Besides sweetheart, I wouldnt worry your pretty little head about it."

Her nostrils flared, and Lealia furrowed her brow slightly. Pretty little head? She thought. As if she only had small thoughts of vanity and ridiculous things running though her head and disappearing after a few moments. Although she didn't feel as if she was the brightest horse in creation, she knew she wasn't a doorknob either; and for some stranger to assume she was all beauty and no brains, irk the female a bit. "That will not be a problem," she said, with a slight sarcastic undertone. She arched an eyebrow at the male, her curly mane hiding her other eye, "I take it you enjoy creating trouble?"

He smirked and looked her over a bit. "Only because others make it so easy," he implied before yawning and shifting against her a bit, nudging her as if to push her into the water. He was amused by her sarcasm, she seemed to get the type he was and he wanted to see if he could push it just a little further. Almost challenging her into a battle of wits, one of course that he would win. He always did.
(( doorknob made me lol XD ))

As the male pressed up against her, Lealia shifted all her weight to her opposite side. It sort of made her stand a tad bit lopsided, but it was the only way to her to keep from going in the water - the stallion had some extra muscle compared to her. The mare snorted, rolling her eyes quickly at Anon's satire. A small smile spread across her muzzle as she replied, "I would think one would not make very many acquaintances that way."
