Gaia Map

The Gaia Official Map has at least 4 Towns and various areas surrounding them. For the event, we encourage you to check it out (by clicking here) so you are to know where exactly you are or what's going on in there.
While it's a wide place that would take time to cover, for this event we shall only point out the important areas. You can create new 'towns' or trails, just as it doesn't go way off from this official map.

And, so, it begins

Barton Town

User Image

Ah, Barton, the quiet Barton.
Happy people, cheery shopkeepers and a talking cat, what more do you wish for?
Here, you find Ian and Rufus his cat, Rina and her flowers, Agatha, Leon and more people who seem to die to talk to you. Also, who can forget the Arenas, where critics from the 'Artist Corner' go and dabble about art and writing, or the 'Avatar Critics' destroy other people's avatars while trying to see what is the latest fashion. Oh, btw, sets are no-no in here.
Also, the mini-shops are vastly populated.
If you want to talk about how awesome the place is, you can go to the GCD building where you can discuss with people about how Gaia has changed.
Or, you can skip along and head to the old tattered GD building, where you might find one or two people thrown out from the window. No biggie here, this is the Town Hall, mind you.
Finally, fear it or not, you can have a night (or day?) of your life if you head to get some drinks around the CB. Black services and 1 and 2 PYP people will astonish you with how high (mainly low) can people go. The old Love-Love cafe now serves as one of the most humble, yet fine and still family-felt, restaurants Barton has, getting to know other people and talk about things.
There is the Library of 'Epic Topics' which allows you to read the story of Gaia, as well as Channel 9's Building, where Cindy Donovinh works.
Once you are done, you can head home by hopping to one of the trains in the station.

In Parallel Gaia....

While the concept of Barton stays the same, a cheerful place, some things have changed: Ian is a cat and Rufus manages the store. Agata is quite a cheerful girl and Rina is an old lady selling flowers. The Town hall is ruled by the CB, which are respectable people that work for society, the Arenas lies in Aekea, the Love-Love cafe is still open and quite operational (unlike the other which was shut down in 2k4 due.. *ehem* disturbances that doesn't seem to bother this place) the GD is in another building where.. they still go and knock themselves off occasionally, and in a dark alley lies the GCD, a bunch of whiny protesters that seem to hate Gaia and all around it. The city itself, is basically a Steampunk version of the 'other' one, much more active and less quiet. There isn't much activity in daylight and most of the fun occurs on nighttime, which is why Barton has been called the 'Epic Party City'.
For your party needs, you have the hip clothing from Molly and Li Yam, the latter being one of the best DJs in Parallel Gaia.
If you manage to survive the night, you can go to the train station to head home.

Durem
User Image

Durem, the city of the night.
Known for their relationship with Dark Elves and Vampires, it's a charming city with a Victorian air around it.
It has excellent places to party at night as well as hip stores with cool clothes, or fashionable respectable ones for a night at the Opera, the Theater or a ball.
The Old Von Helson mansion was held on this place, crushed under the weight of the great Tower of Gambino years ago. The place was restored and now serves as a museum of Fine arts as well as the Artist Corner.
Other great remarks of the city includes the Annual Gaia Ball, held on the same Museum that once was a mansion. A user made event, it has grown to be one of Gaia's trademark events, gathering people all around. Also, one must remember the AT, or the 'Avatar Talk'. Elitist from all Gaia gather to talk about how trashy avis are lately and how to define new trends. Then, they tend to travel to Barton to rate and bash and trash comment other people's fashion sense.
Quite a charming city, even though it's constantly shrouded in mystery and darkness

In Parallel Gaia...
Durem is less dark and the mystery trademark has been moved to Barton, being a much more humble city, still conserving a little bit of it's Victorian air but this one being much more rural.
While the Tattoo Parlor still exist here, it's Natasha who does them, Devin focusing on Piercing. He still likes to receive big packages though... and actually, they are in a relationship now.
Edmund still exist but it's rather a geeky, odd, cosplay fanatic person... If you want to know the best trends on Anime, get to him...
Another famous store is 2039, attended by Ivan, who has clothings that ... are sort of different for the ambiance of the place.
The Von Helson still exist and are a respectable competitor to the Gambino Family. The Vampires are well known, and so are the Elves who are rather much more turned against each other rather than humans vs either race. Nobody really knows why. Dark Elves do not exist in Durem and are usually found in Barton instead.
The Hero of the Stars, known as MK-73N5H1, first arrived to this place and has adopted it as home. Thanks to the lovely donations from his many fans, he has constructed a mannor of his own, where he conducts parties each year. This are called the 'Star Dance'. Each year, there is a queen and king named and these are cheered among gaians as the best of them all, even able to get an audience with Queen Kanoko herself. Such a nice cozy city

Isle de Gambino
User Image

Ah, Isle de Gambino. The Name says it all, doesn't it?
This Island, created by the sole recreation of Gambino himself, marks basically what the man likes to spend his money on: Good looks, awesome fun and gambling and girls. Lots of them.
Among the trademarks of this place is the Gambino Mansion himself, home of the Gambino family and... random experiments done in there... (*coughhalloween2k4and5cough*) where he holds parties for each holiday he can come along, most of them Halloween and X-mas.
In the center of the island, a much powerful signal of why the man is how he is, lies the Marketplace. Stockholders of Gaia keep a look on the prices of items, places and even events that are held off.
The secret Weapon Shop exist in there but... shhhh, we never told you...
In this poppy island is where Sasha goes along living and it's one of the 'ports' that are favorite for the Dernier Cri' store to land over (then again, they can land anywhere, can they?)
With all this, you wonder sometimes how this place is so peaceful, with it's beaches and immense beauty, Isle de Gambino is a nice resort place to hang around.

In Parallel Gaia...
Called Kanoko's Island, as the former 'normal' Gaia, this marks the place where the ruler of Gaia lives.
Queen Kanoko holds her mansion where the Marketplace should be, in a dream-like, Cinderella shaped castle, filled with banners and everything. While this continues to be the peaceful place and resort based, it's much more 'clean' ambiance. Each year, the 'Royal Ball' is held here. This ball has expanded to have more repetitions per year, having a X-mas ball (that usually goes wrong) and a Halloween one (which at the end they exchange gifts and candy).
There is an urban legend that says that S-corp lies under the Castle's catacombs... but, who knows...
The 'Avatar Talk' lies in here and they are much sweeter actually. In fact, most of them work to make Kanoko much prettier than ever. Along them is the famous fashion designer, and tender of the D&M store Giovanni.
Also, Gaia 6, the #1 newsfeed of Gaia is settled here, with Bruce and his ... random sidekick giving the news.

Aekea

User Image

Aekea is the Industral Center of Gaia, and a place where people all around other parts have ended calling home.
People from other planets and nationalities have gathered in conventions like the 'Phailcon 2k7' or the 'Take your shirts off for Liam' event which... failed but.. eh.
Thus, this is the place for 'Gaia International' and other pop-trending things like Computer talk, TV-shows and even Anime. There is a whole building where such things are discussed called the 'Aekea Entertainment Forum'
As for stores, due to the internationalization of the place, Global Imports has been recently established. Liam's shop is well known, as his... odd ways of seducing women. Sam and her 'car parts' are just going down from where his Jock stop is and just in the center where the industry goes on, lies the Robot Factory and 2 robots that will help you choose your flooring and furniture. There was a 3rd, which moved to Housing Commissioning, Gaia's official (and apparently only) Realty that will set you up for a nice cozy home to live.
Other than that, while this city is busy, it's mostly a bit cold and heavily chromed...
Tenshi first crashlanded here, and while she was still with a bit of amnesia, lived here, attending a small art shop while she also did a second job in the (at that time open) Love-Love cafe in Barton. Since her discovery of her origins and her awakening as MK-73N5H1, while she continues to hold her humble house, she spends most of the time in the G.i.B... which rumors has it are in the outsides of the city. But, if somebody told you that, it's a lie...
Or is it?
Oh shi... a light...

In Parallel Gaia. . .
Gambino's Aekea is the place where other types of 'Fun' are found: Jackpot Mountain, the well known Weapons Shop, a floating boat with awesome things, and in the middle of it all, the source of power for the Gambino Family: the Marketplace.
In the far corner, lies the Gambino Mansion, home of the family of the same name. There, with his odd and girl-chasing son Gino, they go along enjoying life.
If life gives you lemons, sell them at double the price in the Marketplace...
On another positive side, the Arenas are located here. A special elite called the 'Cosplayers' have gathered here. In the arenas people come to discuss about.... art... and the 'Avatar Talk' goes along suggesting people being more modest about their selves.... The cosplayers are rather odd, including the enthusiastic Edmund
The top Cosplay leaders are the 'Muguanzhi Twins, which tend to design quite interesting clothing...

Other noticeable Places

G-corp - Gaia's dreaded G-corp, it's stories with the Gambino family are quite... dark. However, what would halloween 2k5 be without them...
In Parallel Gaia, they are still the same scientists as always, being nice enough to sponsor some parties. If you want scary s**t, you should see S-corp instead....

Great Wall of Gambino - There is a leftover portal said to be from the Zurg. When arranged correctly, it can take you to Parallel Gaia.
The wall of Gambino doesn't exist in P.Gaia with the simple explanation that ... Gambino isn't that power hungry... or at least doesn't show it as much...

Von Helson Manor - The Mansion belonging to the Von Helsons. Ever since Vladimir was ... well, killed? It passed on to Louie. However, he doesn't like to go too much to it.
In Parallel Gaia... this, ladies and gentlemen, is Kiga's home.

Durem's Cementery - Creepy Place is creepy. Notable things happened in the Parallel Crisis, being this place the last battle place. However... as many know... along came Jack...

Halloweentown Speaking of Jack.... once per year, lucky Gaians are able to see this place. Halloween town is the place where Jack lives.
Urban legends also go along it's existence in Parallel Gaia.
