I have a question about the battery. When one trades over wifi using FC not the GTS does it put more of a strain on the battery? I charged it fully on Tue had medium usage yesterday (3-4 hours) before the trade last night and the after 1 and one half hours today the red light went on. I will of had this DS Light for one year this January and I bought it new in box. so is it that or thr battery getting old?

Using the Wi-Fi does put an extra strain on the battery but shouldn't make a difference between Global or Local Wi-Fi. The speaker volume, use of one or both screens, the back lighting (most notably), and use of wireless connectivity are all factors to consider when it comes to how long your battery will last.

So dimming the screen would help the battery life? I didn't know that, thanks for the tip.

What he said. Also if not playing ds even for a minute close it...save a ton of battery.
