They looked quite cozy, really. Aaron sat on the large, flat rock, baby on one leg and Darcy's head on the other. A blanket was wrapped around the three of them to keep out the cold chill in the air, and Aaron was ready from a storybook to keep them entertained. As usual, he was stuck doing the real work. He pulled the knit blanket closer around them, silently cursing the early wintery chill in the air. Atleast when it was daytime they could get SOME warmth from the sun.

Darcy seem unbothered by the cold, barely noticing it. She looked very much like the child she actually was, pale green eyes wide with wonder, glued to the pictures. Her ears listened to the story, eager to hear what was to happen next to the brave and valiant knight Iirta and the dragonness As'Rai. The meeting was pushed back to the furthest corners of her mind; she wanted to focus on the story now, thank you very much.

Paradise was worried, to say the least. Over the past... well, the past few years, as a matter-of-fact, he and Peony had been talking about children, but more in a 'someday' context, not a 'I'm-going-out-tonight-to-get-a-child-I-contacted-some-magical-children-about' way. As such, the Eilian could only pray that his brother would be understanding and not completely explode about it. Or anything otherwise similar.

When he reached the cave, his small, fluffy white wings fluttered gently before resting against his back. For a decent amount of time, he was just watching the story being read aloud. That was until the cold got to him and he stepped forward a little more, clearing his throat to catch the attention of the two and pulling his black jacket a bit tighter around his shoulders, tapping the tip of his toe against the ground awkwardly. "Um... hi. I believe I contacted the both of you about a child...?"

Darcy glanced at Paradise, sighing. Like it was some big inconvenience that he was interrupting the story. "Yes, you did." she said, sitting up and away from the warmth of the blanket. An amused smirk spread across her face; it wasn't often someone came to them willingly, wanting a child. Interesting. "The child in question is right here." she said, motioning to the boy in her brother's lap.

Aaron hopped off the rock, keeping a hold of the young child. He moved to stand at his sister's side, offering a courteous smile. "We appreciate you volunteering to care for one of these children." he said, nodding once. This is what they needed; more willing guardians.

Paradise's dual-coloured eyes lit up at the sight of the little boy in the male's lap, stepping a bit closer when the other stood up, heart pounding like the bass of a techno song. For a moment, he didn't even register the fact that one of the children whom he'd contacted was speaking. Shaking his head awkwardly, he looked up and smiled softly, nodding a few shaky times.

"O-oh, of course. My bro-- er, my mate and I, we can't have kids. It just seemed like the best idea concerning that whole thing," the man replied with a smile. His short stub of a tail was flying back and forth like that of a puppy dog while the young child in Aaron's arms only stirred slightly from his sleep. "Thanks for, y'know, providing us with a child," he said, laughing gently. "We definitely appreciate it."

Darcy shrugged, nodding once. "We understand, and there's no need to thank us." she said, her tone dismissive. "We had a child, and we deemed you and your brother fit to care for this particular one. No need for thanks."

Aaron smiled, holding the little guy out the Paradise. "Here." he said, his tone soft so he wouldn't wake the child. "Take good care of him. And I'd suggest keeping him away from musical instruments."
