 Lolite was currently sleeping with two baskets very close to her that held her and coal's foals. in a deep sleep, she had a smirk on her face as she was happy the two foals where healthy. knowing coal was watching, she was able to sleep just fine.Coal wrinkled his nose and gave a yawn. he had not been getting much sleep since Lolite had the foals and had become very protective of his territory so no threat would come to his offspring. lashing his tail about, he gave a toss of his head as he now paced a bit infront of his cave. he had yet to tell his mother about the foals, but he had no choice but to take lolite and the foals as top priority. plus he assumed that his father would tell his mother about the who thing that happened just weeks before. stopping and stretching his wings a bit, he had not bargained for how hard this was going to end up being.

Seasons were passing and yet time was standing still. Well for some creatures maybe... definitely not for the dragon races. That included one irritated mother dragon trying to keep tabs on her fully grown hatchlings. The thing this land needed most was more of "her kind" the female believed. Honestly, all the inbreed horses and their kin were disgusting. Especially that winged crow b*****d that had humiliated her. The nerve of that nag thinking he was better then a dragon, Cynder was too amused for words he was that pathetic.
Her wings still ached from those knives. What stupid horse would learn to throw those things anyway? Horses were prey not heroes that's what they were. Any creature that had a mind to outwit a dragon was begging for death to take it out from this world.
She grumbled in a low hiss as her head wavered this way and that. None of them had touched base with her, those unruly hatchlings. Even Bris had vanished which was frustrating. Soon Cynder caught a scent, a familiar scent that she knew well. But what shocked her was the other scents. Could it be that her hatchlings grown strong had started taking mates? The nerve of them not alerting her to this news. But the other demons erupted in her head as she neared this place Coal had settled within. Had he found a dragon or was this female another disappointment as most were? She smoked a little brimstone through her nostrils not speaking a word. She knew her son would scent her before he even noticed she was there.

Coal's ears pinned back as he smelt the familiar scent of his mother coming. taking in a deep breath, he wasn't too sure what to expect but well it had been quite some time since he had seen his mother. his tail lashed about in a almost nervous manner and only his dear mother could cause him to be that way. after all he knew how his mother could get if disappointed or crossed in anyway shape or form. frowning, he had acted confident in front of his sister and father but well he wasn't sure how his mother would react to this. approval from her was the only thing that mattered and if it wasn't given well, he was sure in for some pain.

Cynder inhaled deeply catching the scent of hatchlings on their way to step out of those prisons. Such a foolish way to rear young, but she knew it was necessary for survival. She stood there for a while noting her son's behavior as he basically screamed "Kill me now" well not that sense but he was nervous as hell. Why wouldn't he be she chuckled to herself knowing how the earth trembled beneath her claws. Knowing her hatchlings feared her gave hope that she was still a top dragoness amongst her kind. We'll just leave out the purple pest that became a companion of sorts.
She awaited his tale, which she stated to herself it better be a damn good one. But first she thought to intimidate which the female was damn good at doing.
"So.... you have something to tell me Coal?" she hissed as her tail flicked back and forth in irritation. Her mother like attributes had to come across terrifying to her young. It was the only way to rear them into fine dragons themselves. Those they were stupid, weak, and not fit for survival were the ones sentenced to a certain Death. Like hell she'd have her hatchlings tread that so called path. They might as well been born by the normal horses then by her any day.

Coal visibly flinched as his mother hissed at him. ".....yes i have some news to tell you." giving a grunt, he knew he would have to choose his words wisely so he would not have his mothers wrath coming down on him. " I'm now a father and you a grandmother. though the foals are not ready to come outside there baskets" ears still pinned back, he respected his mother and would never disappoint or go against her wishes if he could help it. "of course i have chosen a strong suitable mare that i believe you would approve of."

His words made her ears flick in interest though she still hissed releasing a puff of smoke from her nostrils in warning. They may be her children but in the female's eyes males were weak creatures.
"Oh really? You are so certain that this "female" of yours will appease my irritation for you not telling me sooner? I bet that purple pest even knew before I did... Is this true?" she growled with a rumble in her chest as her words came out sharp and deadly. If he thought he was getting off easy he had another thing coming. Males.... whatever would she do with them all. Pity they were born to be thorns or knives in a female's side. She'd rather them all be gone, though her daughters weren't much better.

Coal knew there was no way he was gonna get out of this without some kind of punshment, but he was hoping to avoid a huge punishment. " i am certian that you will be pleased with my choice. you will also be pleased that you raised me well enough to be strong and not weak." he flinched though when she mentioned about his father knowing before her. " i have to confess that it is true, but only because he caught me and cyanide in a verbal fight about my choice in mating with someone." now staring at the ground, he wondered if there was any way to make his mother see that he wasn't stupid or foolish. "if you want, you can meet her right now and decide for yourself if i made the right choice or not."
Lolite snorted rather loudly in annoyance as the conversation outside was disturbing her sleep. grumbling under her breath, she now debated in her head if it was worth the effort to get up and smack coal for waking her.

"Foolish purple pest..... he could at least tell me rather then making me search for my hatchilings" she was rather irritated more with Spyro then her son for now anyways.
She knew females were quite testy with young near them. Especially young that have dragon's blood. Perhaps he had chosen correctly but all would be foretold when she met this "female" capable of catching Coal's heart.
"Fine then awaken her and I'll be the judge" she hissed then turned her head sidewards from him still keeping her emerald eye toward his every move. If this female was common her son would hear it.
Snorting she turned her head back as her eyes blazed. She hated waiting and this was no exception.

Coal gave a respectful bow of the head to his mother. "as you wish mother." he quickly went to get Lolite even if Lolite would be angered to have to leave the baskets for a few moments. but he had no choice in the matter when his mother demanded something of him and if he kept her waiting, well he would just cause her to be more angry with him. " Lolite, time to wake. you are expected to meet my mother who demands to meet you."
Lolite hissed at coal as she woke up fully now that he came and requested her to walk up. " fine, but you can be damn sure your going to pay for disrupting my sleep." growling, she got to her feet carefully so that she would not end up harming the baskets that held the foals. giving a toss of her head to fix her mane, she pridefully walked out of the cave along side coal to meet his mother.

Cynder stood agitated wondering just what would step from that cave. Something to disgrace her most likely, the truth always told of mother's sons looking to better themselves. Find a female not worth even breathing fire upon or an eyesore to even acknowledge was always what happened so why was it different now she growled to herself.
It seemed like ages that he took his time in her opinion. Fanning her wings the dragoness swayed her tail back and forth just waiting for this "acceptance" she had to administer to her new daughter-in-law. Like hell things would be normal for her as she'd wish.
"I suppose she has inbreeding as well with those damn mongrels of horses...." abruptly she paused as her seething emerald eyes took in the other creature. She turned her head sideways as it held higher then usual spreading out her black wings lined with crimson velvet. A display of dominance over another she was very good at when she tried hard enough. Standing there she awaited this illusion to speak for it smelled like dragon and acted like one. But the supreme question was this.... was she one?

Lolite was highly unamused with being told there was inbreeding in her bloodline. growling slightly at insult, she didn't like being outright insulted in such a way. " i can assure you there is none of that in my bloodline. plus i highly doubt your son would of chosen me if there was." giving a toss of her mane, it was clear she was riled some by such a insult.
Coal gave a sigh as he knew this was the first thing his mother was going to ask about. snorting, he hated how his family assumed he would allow filth even near him, let one breed with him. " mother you raised me better than to allow some inbred filth near me." snorting, he wondered if any of his family would just accept the fact he had found a fine mare to be with and have strong offspring with.

Cynder didn't like her tone, not one damn bit. But she did acknowledge her directness as a dragoness should. True Cynder was ashamed to admit she'd chosen a purple variety of male for her future, but honestly her hatchlings (well most of them) had turned out just fine. Biting her tongue at defiling the younger mare more she just spoke on her own accord.
"Tis within my reasoning to be skeptical of anything that walks this land. I've seen my share of filth to last a lifetime in those feedbags of mares. I'll admit my mistake since you are indeed a dragoness as myself, but that is as far as I would lower myself unto anyone. I am a proud dragoness and live up to my breed" she growled keeping her head high and her wings loose. She took no chances from anyone and acted accordingly to how she saw things fit.
She then turned to gaze upon her son while her one eye still kept a vigil over the mare.
"I can not say as much for your siblings Coal. I do not wish to know what they've found and consider well bred. But I will accept this choice and be content knowing the blood of purity and strength is being carried on" she growled hissing out her last part, "even if your pest of a father is a moron."

Lolite would of been more respectful, had she not felt insulted by being accused of being inbred filth. "you have every right to be skeptical and even more right to make sure your son choose the right mare." she then gave a respectful bow of her head. " and i can assume the bloodline will be kept pure and strong."
Coal was glad to now have even his mothers approve of Lolite. "i am glad to hear of your approval mother, as you know it means the most out of the family." he did have a great deal of respect for his mother even if he had decided to tell of giving her grandchildren a bit late. "yes it seems father rather play games like a morn than actualy use his brain." sighing, he knew his father was a morn at times, but others he was actualy rather smart.
