"So you think you like him, mmm?"
Vati was so happy to hear this, she knew her friend was very hurt by some pact things, so maybe this new male would change her mind? Who knew! She was just happy.
"Hear that Ramlin? Ki's in l o v e!"
"Oh hush, you. I never said love, I just, I really really like him. You know? It's new to me, I want to try to take it slow..."
Ki was blushing, and she was blushing hard. She didn't know what to say to make Vati stop her teasting!
"I don't know why I even told you, you have such a big mouth!"
"Yeah, Vati, cool it. Ki doesn't want to make this into a big deal, so let's not do that, okay?
Ramlin... was just like the dead weight when Ki and Vati got together to talk; why the hell did he have to be here to hear about this.
"Lin, hush. This is a huge deal, you know what happened with her last boyfriend."
Vati spit at him, her eyes like daggers as she turned back to Ki and smiled, her eyes bright.
"So what's he like?"
"He.. is so nice to me."
Ki nodded and smiled, tilting her head to the side as she searched for the right words to use right now. This.. was hard to explain.
"We spend the night watching the stars, it was wonderful."
"The night?"
Ramlin's ears perked up, his stance a bit uneasy.
"I hope that's all that happened..."
He was worried for her, he knew what kind of males Ki liked... and most of the time, they were assholes.
"Lin, that's rude."
Vati glanced at him, her paws side by side. She couldn't understand why he was being SO rude!
"Ki, don't listen to him, he is being a jerk. If this guy makes you happy, please, for the love of god, go for it!"
At first she felt upset, what Ramlin had said hurt her, but after Vati spoke out, her heart felt at ease.
"You think? I.. I really like him."
"Sorry, yeah. V is right, Ki. If you like him and he is good to you... go for it, but please, be careful? I don't want to turn into another Dau drama."
As he spoke his eyes narrowed, sure, he wasn't as happy about this as his mate was, but there wasn't much he could do to stop it.
"Well, Ki, what are you waiting for? Go get your man!"
Vati laughed as she pushed Ki's shoulders, as if begging her to run run run.
"Okay, okay. Cool down, I will go, I will go."
With a bright smile she turned to her friends and spoke out, her tail batting from side to side.
"Thanks guys."
