He paced, he growled, his claws dug at the ground. Endless voices ripped at his brain, his ears constantly twitching to hear them all. Eyes burned holes into whatever his gaze landed upon, tail lashing wildly behind him. He couldn't keep still, the night had him restless. A slow growl emitted from his throat as he came to the watering hole, the moon's light reflecting off the calm waters. Haunt was anything but.

Quickly, he made his way to the edge and dunked his head in, the voices muffled but for a moment. Maybe if he killed himself, they would stop. Then suddenly a searing pain moved through him, his mouth opening out of instinct letting in all the water. Out of reflex, his head lurched back, eyes squeezed shut as he coughed up the liquid. Immediately he knew the source; his thigh burning as the face appeared to cackle at him once more. This curse, this affliction would never cease. "What do you want from me?!" He roared to the heavens, but feeling more like the damned in hell. "Why must you torment me so?!" He looked to the sky for answers, but found none.

A soft giggle came from the darkness, and soon her form emerged from what appeared to be literally no where. First she was a translucent silhouette, then her form began to become more visible, see through but visible enough. She would not let herself fully emerge into a more solid shape, not until she knew it was completely safe, this was the first time she let herself be seen by another. She began to move closer to him her paws hardly hitting the ground under her at all.

"Yelling at them isn't going to make them listen," She replied softly her dull gray eyes staring at him "Trust me I've tried." Her head tilted towards the sky a bit of resentment in her eyes a light pout crossing her face. "They never tell me a thing."

For once, he was caught off guard. The other materialized out of nothing, and so quickly it left him a shock for words. Even more surprising, the voice stopped their chatter but if for a moment to ponder before starting to question him constantly. His head pounded causing him to shut his eyes tightly, bare his fangs and look away from her.

"I should know that by now, shouldn't I?" Haunt agreed with her, managing to open his eyes to gaze upon her transparent form. "I should know that they will never have the answers I seek..." The pounding was nothing more than a dull thud for now. They finally gave him a break. "But at least they give you the time of day or night...whoever they is anyway..." The last part was more to himself than to her. Red eyes scanned the area before looking back to the spectress. "And what of you here, tonight? Shouldn't ghosts be resting? Why do you still plague this area?" He chattered on. It was the only way to keep the voices quiet. It was the only way to give him a moments peace.

She continued to stare up at the starry sky for a while before she replied to him. "There is a possibility that they themselves don't know to the why," Her gaze finally came off the sky and fell upon him. "It could be that we are the ones who are suppose to find the why." It sounded as if she had a long while to ponder over this. She began to moved towards him once more this time Ceila's body became a bit more solid.

"Night is the only time I can be it seems," she whispered back her head tilting towards the sky once more. Staring up at it for a while she finally shook her head at his last question. "Plague is such a filthy word, more like unable to leave this land. If you ask why, that is my question to them." She remembered nothing of herself before death, and she doubted the name she had now was the same as the name then. She was silent for a while letting her mind drift onto the only memories she had, those of when she was a ghost. "As I remember correctly," She finally spoke, "you are the first to whom I've shown myself to."

He scoffed at her slightly as she continued to ponder her existence..or really lack thereof. She was a ghost, she wasn't even supposed to be! And yet, there she was in front of him - and stepping closer. His ears were erect and forward, head tilted to get a better look at her. All the while the mist around his frame convulsing and twisting as if trying to reach out of their bounds and react with her. His thigh no longer burned, but seemed to simmer all the while as a gentle reminder.

"You're a Night Walker then.." He murmured. "You must have died during the night around this area, and shall forever do so until you find peace..." He spoke as if he knew about such things, which really Haunt was just speculating. Over the years of his life, he had a lot of time to think since his own dealings with the paranormal because..normal. It was personal to him, and he often surmised and spoke with the voices in his head whenever he felt lonely. At her last statement, he began to think a moment before answering, his voice low. "And...if I may say...you are the first in quite a long time that I have actually spoken to..." His red eyes looked at her, and realized in her life she must have been quite the beauty. "I am Haunt..."

"Pleasure to meet you Haunt, I'm Ceila, whether it is the name I died with I do not know." She replied back, "In truth I am not around here, I traveled from near the north mountain path in search of answers." She was on the verge of giving up trying to remember what she was before and why she was still here. She noted his last statement, "It seems we have a bit in common."

"Beautiful name be it in life or death. The pleasure is all mine, Mistress Celia." He gave a formal smile, his red eyes soft for once. As he listened to her story, the voices started to prattle and go about wondering why she made it all the way down from her resting place. They chattered in one ear, then over to the next. They might be in the back of his mind, or in the front. It got to the point where he had to concentrate to hear her, his ears constantly swiveling, eyes squinting and widening. He was becoming very distracted.

"Ahh...I s-see." The male stammered, twitching all the while, his tail flicking idly behind him. "I think that maybe you will find your answer where you least expect it...Y-Yes, I believe we do, Mistress Celia." He shook his head idly and snorted, the voices growing louder now. He felt his thigh begin to burn teasingly causing a snarl to ripple through his throat. "Cursed demons in all their scored glory. This hell fire's wrath have yet to leave me be..." His poetry flowed from his tongue idly, eyes starting to roll in the back of his head. "I shan't be a vessel for you much longer, Malicious Scoundrels!" Haunt gave out a earth-shattering roar shutting his eyes tightly. He cried out more and more until he had no lungs to give sound, and his throat became raw, but the voices were muffled now.

With tired eyes, he looked to Celia. "P-Pardon me, Mistress..." A small, apologetic grin on his face.
