NINETY-NINE KNIVES

The Knives. Ninety-Nine scattered about the world, forged by a race long faded from the world. It is said that gathering all ninety-nine together will form the door that leads to Paradise, the land of gods. It's a world without hate or sadness, where existance is peaceful, happy, and--most importantly--eternal.

Ironically, the idea of such a place drives mortals into even more conflict over the possession of these knives. One such opportunist knows just how useful the small town of Norhaven is in searching for these knives. He and his native-born apprentices are about to be thrown into the hunt...

Magnus, Oomita:

Here's a character format to fill out, with some brief explanations of what each stat does.

Name:

Life [3]
Power [2]
Toughness [2]
Agility [2]
Mind [2]
Soul [1]

Appearance: (include age, height, etc.)
Personality: (anything relevant to what the character's like)

The stats shown above are base stats. You have 5 points to spend as you please.

Life is a measure of how much damage you can take before death. This cannot be changed except by spending points in Toughness.

Power determines your physical strength--how much potential weight you can bear and move, how powerful melee attacks are, etc.

Toughness is a measure of how much physical stress you can withstand. This determines your Life, and can also reduce physical damage.

Agility is a subtle blend of physical and mental prowess, and determines how quick and agile you are. Turn order depends on this, as do the ablilities to avoid attack and hit accurately.

Mind is purely mental and represents your character's scholarly prowess, including attack magic damage.

Soul is an abstract, a measure of your connection to the world. Will improves one's support magic and magic resistance.

That will do.
Now, all we need is Oomita's character and we can move to the next step.

Oh, uh, by the way, you can't spend points directly on Life. That point'll have to go elsewhere. If you want higher Life, put it in Toughness.

I think we'll go on to the next bit while we wait for Oomita.

Caine:

During your training with your master, you have gained extensive knowlege of crafting weapons and, more importantly, how to fight with them.

You have also gained near-mastery with a single weapon.
To determine what that weapon is, we must first know:
How do you prefer to fight?

1. I need a delicate balance of power, speed, and defense.

2. I like subtlety and distance.

3. I've gotta have something sharp with a long reach.

4. Control over the opponent is most important.

5. Forget all that stuff--I need a big, heavy weapon for my allies to rally behind!
