Before anyone else gets to do this, I'm going to plan a Christmas tourney. This tourney will be performed very similar to the recent Halloween tourney as I lack creativity. Pretty much, I'm asking for ideas on what Pokemon are to be allowed as well as trying to build up a prize pool. I'll have someone else collect the prizes for the pool as I don't have the PC space. Things I have decided on: Same clauses as Halloween Hysteria. I'll list those at a later date. Also, Ice-types will be permitted for obvious reasons. If anyone has any ideas for other allowed types and/or exceptions, post them here.

So far the idea (behind the scenes) was to host a winter tournament including Water-types, Ice-types and possibly Psychic-types.

Could we do both? If not I'll be fine with that. I've got some water's I've planned to train, a couple Ice's I've trained, and over a team's worth of trained Psychics. I think I'm set for either. Also, an exception I thought of: Togekiss.

I might now raise a delibird just for fun. x3 Oh and maybe grass types could be included to represent christmas trees, holly and mistletoe (or however that's spelt, and is that even a real plant?). i.d.k. D:

Yes, mistletoe is a real plant. It's parasitic and grows at the tops of trees. It used to be collected by being shot down. I know to much...

Yeah, like Kyrenx said, we're already way ahead of you on the planning part. In facted, we have several tournamnts outlined for about a year. Just need some thinking, but, expect every type to be in a tournament in the near future.
Grass does not seem to fit well, to be honest. Ince in the Winter, many plants go into a sort of "Hybernation". Grass and flowers go back to roots, seeds ly dorment for the Winter, and trees lose their leaves. Plus, Ice types have a major advantage over Plants, and Water types have it hard enough just fighting Ice, yet alone Grass tyoes.

Didn't think much of the disadvantage part. But the other reasons are why I did not originally plan to include Grass, I still probably won't. Although Ice has a harder time against Water than the other way around. Water resists Ice but Ice doesn't resist Water.

I actually have a random LV100 one that I obtained in a trade. xD

Ontopic: Well I guess until Spring comes along, we grass trainers can finally spread our roots and torment you all once again. Sorry Im getting to bold :p

D: In that case, why not include fire types since they represent the warmth one feels from a fireplace/chimney? So that would be a tournament with restricted types of Water, Ice, and Fire. Water= Strong against Ice & fire *no weaknesses in that tier* Fire=Strong against ice weak against water Ice= weak against both types. Seeing this ... I guess we need more types or fire shouldn't be entered. I suggest the adding of ghost types in order to relate to the ghost of christmas from the play "A christmas carol" Also stantler to relate to the reindeer Either anything star related will work. I just though of Jirachi since it seemed more decorative.

And why not steel types since they're shiny like Christmas ornaments? And Electric types since they (can) glow like Christmas lights?

Sora-cloud-zero And how is ice weak against water? Oops, my bad. I guess I had science on the mind on that type. Honestly the only reason why I said that is that ice melts in water.
