Cameron Bleaker shifted the pile of books in his arms long enough to reach out and knock on Kimmie's door. He wasn't particularly interested in doing a school project. He didn't really care what their grade was - or even if he ended up with a grade. In fact, Cameron totally planned on making Kimmie do every single ounce of work. But she'd elicited a promise from him that he'd show up so they could "work on it" (which he had no intention of doing). In fact, Cam probably wouldn't have shown up at all except for two things. One: Kimmie was actually a pretty decent friend and if he let her down he'd never hear the end of it. And two: It was a chance to hang out in her room. Which increased his chances of getting in her pants. Always a good thing.

"Open up!" He shouted good naturedly, doing a complicated balancing act so as not to drop anything.

"I'm COMING already!" she shouted, whilst inside she hurriedly pulled on a pair of tracksuit bottoms over her now-dry swimming costume. She'd been diving, and the walk back had dried it off. But not Cameron was here already - he couldn't be early, she must've just lost track of time - and she didn't have time to change. So the trackies would have to do as she reached over to unlock the door, before snatching her jumper and pulling it over her head, ignoring the competely ridiculous clashing of colours that was going on. Purple trackies with a green jumper. Nice.

"Geez, Bleaks, you need to learn to be patient," Kimmie moaned as she fell back onto her bed, running a hand through her red hair. She wasn't even being hypocritical - Kimmie was undoubtedly the most patient girl at Barren Pines. She linked her fingers, placing her hands behind her head as she chewed her bottom lip, sighing loudly. She wasn't really planning on doing any work either. "Sooooo, remind me what we're doing?"

"Well isn't that a warm welcome." Cam teased. "You should strip, you know. You're making my eyes bleed." He was fairly certain that she wouldn't take off her clothes in front of him no matter how horrible the color combination was. But it was worth a try. Nobody ever got anywhere without trying, especially into someone else's bed. He dumped the books unceremoniously onto the floor and sat down on Kimmie's desk chair, looking at her expectantly and choosing to ignore any conversation about their project until she was hopefully naked. "You'd be so much more comfortable in your underwear." He added helpfully.

"There will be no stripping, Cameron," Kimmie spoke in a rather serious manner, rolling her eyes at his comment on her clothing. She glanced down at herself, frowning a little before finally relenting, and beginning to pull her jumper off. She did it all teasing-ly, as if doing a strip-tease, before whipping it off...and there was a distinct lack of br. Only the top of her swimming costume, which he's doubtlessly seen her in plenty of times before when he'd been perving on her at her diving competitions.

"Gutted," she snickered, falling back into a laying position on the bed, seemingly not interested at all in the books. Books were boring, like pretty much all work. She doubted they'd be doing work, anyway. He'd try to get into her pants for a while, until eventually he got bored and they just poked fun at one another. Ah, how she did love Cameron. He was such a laugh. "Sorry mate, just been diving. And you don't tend to wear underwear when you're diving, y'know?" she teased, wrinkling her nose a little with a grin at him.

"What've you been up to, anyway?" she asked, deciding to ignore the books for a little while longer.

Sticking his tongue out at his friend, Cam leaned back in the desk chair, kicking off his shoes and resting his stockinged feet up on her desk. With a graceful shrug, he rested his hands behind his head. "Oh, you know. The usual. Running, mostly. Raiding the kitchen. Chasing girls." He grinned at Kimmie. "I tried out for the school play, too. Since apparently I have to have some extracurriculars. Or something. Some of those kids take themselves so seriously, you know?" He shook his head in wonderment at the thought that anyone could take a school play seriously. "What about you, my dear? Been breaking any hearts besides mine lately?"

Kimmie giggled, sticking her own tongue out in response as she rolled over, laying her back on her bed with her legs up the wall, so she was watching Cam upside-down. She nodded as he spoke - she was the diver, Cameron was the runner. Perhaps not really well known throughout the school, since there were a few good runners and swimmers. But to her, Cameron was pretty good. She rolled her eyes at the comment on girls, sighing loudly, "Now there's a surprise..."

The play? Kimmie wrinkled her nose a little, shaking her head - which was still upside-down. She'd never been good at the arts. She'd considered offering to help backstage, since any extra credit from any teacher might've been helpful, but she was just too busy. History extra credit and her diving took up pretty much all of her time. And the little bit that was left was her chill time. She needed to relax and unwind every once in a while. "Yeah, but that's fair enough. We take sport seriously, whereas others might see it pointless. To me, drama and art and all that might as well be a foreign language."

Breaking any hearts? She flashed a rather charming grin, winking at her friend as she sighed loudly, stretching her arms out towards him. "Naaaaah, not really. Been flirting plenty, but nothing more than that. Been too busy."

Cameron responded to her comment about the arts with a shrug. For him, it wasn't so much that he took parkour seriously. It's that he felt so alive when he was doing it. As far as Cam was concerned, it was a much higher art form than theater. But he did it purely for the pleasure of knowing he could nearly fly than for anything else.

"Whats been keeping you busy?" He finally asked, eyeing her. He wondered if it had something to do with the weirdness that had started cropping up around campus. Nothing Cameron had experienced personally, of course. But there were rumors and whispers flying around. And while he usually didn't give gossip much credence, this seemed different somehow.

Busy? Kimmie rolled her eyes, bored with the direction the conversation was taking them already. She sighed loudly, clicking her tongue against the roof of her mouth in a bored fashion as she stretched her arms upwards, stretching her back out. "Eh, diving. Extra credit so I don't fail History. The usual, really."

She shrugged, narrowed her eyes back at him when she spotted the way he was eyeing her, pushing herself into a sitting position, "What're you plotting, Bleaker?"

"Plotting? Me?" It was a legitimate question, as Cam wasn't really a plotter. It took far too much effort and head games weren't really his style. He shrugged a little, his expression worried. "Theres been weird things going on around here. Haven't you heard?" Gossip and rumors mostly, but still. "People are... I dont know. It's probably nothing, right?"
PostPosted: Wed Nov 11, 2009 1:11 pm

Kimmie rolled her eyes with a grin, clearly not believing him. He was definitely up to something. He had to be. Her grin lessened a little at the clear look of worry on his face, though, a concerned frown crossing her face as she shifted her position, sitting up properly on the edge of the bed, watching Cameron carefully.

Weird things? She wrinkled her nose, turning her gaze up to the ceiling instead, where she'd stuck a few glow-in-the-dark stars. They amused her when she was trying to get to sleep. "Yeah...I have." she admitted, fiddling with her fringe, "Everyone has, I reckon. But we all keep quiet, just hoping it'll go away."

Letting out an uneasy laugh that seemed to clash with his usual carefree manner, Cam shrugged again. "I guess I should shut up and play dumb too, huh? After all, I'm a token race." His grin was a little more genuine this time. "The black guy always dies first." There were many things one could glean from watching as many horror movies as Cameron did. Such as your survival odds based on race, gender and sexual proclivities. Then again, nobody had died or anything. The rumors were just weird happenings.

Searching for a change of topic, Cameron landed on the least likely thing. "So. About this project..."
PostPosted: Wed Nov 11, 2009 11:36 pm

Kimmie wrinkled her nose again, watching Cameron perhaps a little sadly. Unfortunately, what he said was quite true. In an attempt to lighten the moof slightly, she flashed a helpful smile, which stretched into a rather uneasy grin. "The spotty girl always goes next?" she suggested. Kimmie wasn't usually comfortable with her acne and didn't like discussing it, but to make a friend better she might take a shot at herself. She didn't mind, as long as they didn't pick it up and continue teasing.

The topic was changed and she was grateful, but the project? She snorted, rolling her eyes as she stared at him as if to say 'Are you kidding me?'. "Cameron, I'm more likely to let you into my bed than do the project," she began, but soon realized her mistake and glared at him, "But that was NOT an invitation!"

His laugh this time was much more comfortable. "Well, I'm not likely to do it either. I was hoping to foist the work off onto you." Cameron was a notoriously untrustworthy project-partner. He never got his half of the work done. Sometimes he'd scribble something down on a napkin and hand that in... if the teacher was lucky.

"So, since neither of us intend on doing any work and you don't want to fool around, what do you feel like doing?" He asked with a grin and a raise of his scarred eyebrow.

Kimmie rolled her eyes, sighing irritably as she snatched a pencil from her bedside table, tapping it against the wood in a steady rhythm, face thoughtful. What did she feel like doing? Hmm. Glancing around her room for inspiration, she grinned when she spotted the somewhat battered box, poking out from the corner of her wardrobe.

"...My mum got me Twister for my birthday?"

"Twister?" Cameron's grin would have been lecherous if it hadn't also been so good natured. "That would be fun... except dont you need at least three people to play? So that one of them can spin the wheel and stuff?" He thought about this for a moment. "Then again... I wouldn't mind getting all tangled up with you on the twister board. And we don't need a third person for that. Unless you know another pretty girl who might want to... join in?"
