User ImageHe bent forward in an awkward prowl, limbs too long for his shortened torso but able enough to allow a casual gait. Creeping toward the fringes of the plain land, Alkaline confronted the dimly lit forest waiting patiently for his arrival, leaning back on his haunches in curiosity. He often wondered why the forest drew others in. It was never nice to look at and always giving an unwelcomed feel...

Behind him was a number of preys lurking and grazing, preparing for a season change and lacking the keen sense of summer and spring. This year he would hunt for big game, having grown to his full potential and capable to do so. He also decided that this would be the year he would find his brothers. It was high time they reunited, at least to be sure the rest were safe. They were the only family they had, and though either could easily have gained a family during the time away...Alkaline knew it best they stick together.

He missed his family considerably too! It was the reason he tried and searched so hard, traveling quite a ways back to this maze of a territory. Having had time to think, meet others, and simply be free gave him as good a reason as any to come home. The forest swayed in front of his eyes, that patience he felt from it growing tense and wavering just as much. He stepped back, back into the grassy plains and was brought back onto his hunt for either brother. Tail high, ears rotated flat, Alkaline took in the smell of the land and sighed.

Home.

Haribika was stalking around with a scowl upon his features. He had gotten in yet another fight with Kinyago, something he couldn't understand. He knew he liked her and he was sure that she felt the same way about him but every other time they were together they were fighting. The next time they'd meet up again and be all lovey-dovey like nothing bad that ever happened but then she find out something he'd try so hard to hide from her and then the fights would ensue.

He sighed shaking his head as he pause lashing out angrily at the closest tree leaving pretty-little claw marks in the bark. "Damnit!" He shouted angrily throwing his head back in frustration.

Why couldn't anything just work out the way it should? He never planned on actually falling for a girl and of course he just had to fall for Little Miss Perfect Paws. Everything she did she did for a reason, she never screwed up. Not until she met him at least.

He was probably the worst thing that could ever happen to her and if he really cared about her he would've left her alone. But he was too damn selfish to do that. He wanted her, loved her and he'd be damned if he let anything get in the way of that.

"I'm sorry."

He heard the frustration, could almost sense it in the air and then with no warning at all, Alkaline was facing the direction of an angered white lion--Cheetah? Across the fields, Haribika twitched and swung extremities around, the red male grinning from ear to ear with delight at what he saw.

Initially, he was not sure if approaching was the best thing to do. There had been so much time spent apart, this was going to be the first hello in quite a while; would there be peace between the two? Would there be hate? Alkaline had very little time to decide, tossing his worries behind him and lifting one limber paw to advance. "Hari..." They were brothers after all.

Coming in, nose sniffing the scent that traveled to be sure this was his brother, Alkaline paused just a few feet from the white male and smiled. "Pardon me but, what has you so upset brother?"

Chin burrowing into his chest, Alkaline stood high on his toes and made a soft chirping sound. Finding family was so much easier than he first thought possible.

His ears twitched at the sound of a shortened version of his name. Hope fluttered in his heart, maybe it was Kinyago. But wait...it was a male's voice. His ears drooped as he turned around, scowl still decorating his features."What?!" He growled unaware that the person speaking to him, the person who knew his name was none other than one of his brothers.

His expression softened but he still wasn't willing to let go of all of his anger. He created this stupid mess and it would take a while, perhaps a long while, and it pissed him off so bad. Why couldn't he do things right? Why couldn't he be more like her? Why couldn't he be perfect.

"What is it Alkaline," he snapped unable to shake his nasty personality. "What are you doing here anyway?"
