Some thought nudged the back of her mind, and she crossed her arms. "Not to be rude or anything," she started in a tone that made it clear she was trying to be rude." The teen set the glass on the counter. He was almost surprised it didn't break. "And what kind of idiot told you something so ridiculous?" he asked, sounding thoroughly offended. He turned to face her with an annoyed look as he waited to hear what her source was, if there really was any. The frown turned into a full scowl at the way Roxi answered him. Clenching his jaw, he took a deep breath and turned to pick up the mail again. "It doesn't matter anyway who you heard it from," he growled, clearly frustrated. "The point is, I'm not gay, and anyone who thinks so obviously doesn't know anything." Looking down as he opened one of the letters, Suzu's angry look turned a little confused and worried. He carefully hid the look from Roxi, though, unwilling to give her anything more to insult him with. 'How could she even consider something like that,' he wondered. The teen was certain he didn't act any different than an average teen musician. The only people he'd ever told about his attractions were his parents, and surely they wouldn't tell. They wouldn't want to ruin his career, would they? Even though he had moved out so abruptly, and stopped talking to them except maybe once a month. Would they really give away that secret out of spite?
