►SǓBFØRǓM FØCǓSES & GǓILD "CØRPØRATE" PØSITIØNS◄
WHAT'S THIS THREAD ALL ABOUT?
For the vast majority of the duration of this guild's existence, I've made some effort -- admittedly of greatly varying degrees -- to have Burn's crew members assigned certain subforums to focus on. In the past, crew members choose a "primary area of focus" & "secondary area of focus" -- hopefully both of which are self-explanitory.
This is the new version of the old "Areas-of-Focus". Below, for each subforum, is information on how many crew members are needed to focus on that subforum, what if any the "qualifications" to be assigned that subforum are, & what the prime responsibilities of the crew member(s) assigned the subforums should be. Lots of this was researched & typed up by the lovely Candice/Inylysia x, who's probably the best & most missed Crew member Burn's ever had!
I'd like everyone to volunteer for 2 or 3 subforums they'd like to "focus" on. By "focus" I mean pay extra special attention to. You of course can still "crew" in all the other subforums -- actually, I expect you to. But your "focus" subforums are your primary responsibilities.
Also, there can be more Crew members assigned to a subforum than the minimum number of Crew required for said subforum states.
As for the "CXO Titles"... A few months ago I decided Burn needed another large injection of Kayla-styled quirkiness, so I started replacing titles like "Captain" with CEO/President, etc. etc. The CXO titles are heavily inspired by important positions in any notable business corporation, but changed around so that they're applicable to Gaia guilds.
Not everybody has to volunteer for a CXO position -- as a matter of fact, there are only enough CXO titles for 5 or so people. Holding a CXO position means that you're going to have extra responsibilities & such, but just like in any sort of business franchise becoming the Chief Officer of something kind of equates climbing up the latter of importance.

SUBFORUM INFORMATION
• Free Gold Subforum
Minimum Number of Crew Members Needed: 2
Qualifications: Active & experienced members of Gaia & Burn who feel comfortable confronting & dealing with contest hosts whose contests violate any of the rules laid out in the Free Gold Rules & Guidelines sticky.
Main Responsibilities in Subforum: First & foremost, they must be familiar with & appropriately enforce all of the rules of the subforum, especially the rules regarding requirements for contests (such as the rule that states all contests must have a deadline). The crew members should be experienced to handle all the scamming issues. The crew members assigned to this subforum are responsible for making sure that all contests hosted in the guild are conducted & completely in an appropriate & fair manner that doesn't violate any of the subforum or guild rules. (Further information will be provided shortly regarding how Crew should proceed with dealing with various problematic contests.)
• Questing Subforum
Number of Crew Members Needed: 2
Qualifications: Must be active, & must have been Crew Members for more than a few months & people I feel I can trust.
Main Responsibilities in Subforum: Ensure that in each quest thread, there must be a list of donators and the tracked progress of the owner - enforcing the rules of the subforum. In the near future I (elyzia) will begin giving gold to at least one of the people assigned to this subforum, & that gold MUST be donated to various members quests over time. It's also highly recommended that these Crew Members visit as many quest threads as they can & wish the questers luck.
• Fun & [Word] Games Subforum
Minimum Number of Crew Members Needed: 1
Qualifications: Should be active; the more familiar with that subforum they are the better.
Main Responsibilities in Subforum: Delete repeat threads to insure that there's never two separate threads for the same game. Delete or move threads that don't belong in the subforum (some personal discretion must be used), & "resurrect" game threads that are notably popular yet have ended up on the second or third page. Ensure that the games played are appropriate, and in some games like “You’re Banned”, the members do not go overboard with their playing and arouse drama.
• You: Personal Life Subforum
Minimum Number of Crew Members Needed: 2
Qualifications: Active, familiar with Burn's rules, have at least a basic understanding of what sort of posts violate our "no drama" rule, be able to appropriately deal with conflicts that arise that are clearly problematic. People who have been Crew Members for at least three months are preferable, although exceptions to this may be made, determined on a case by case basis.
Main Responsibilities in Subforum: Ensure that there’s no flaming of any sort, and no drama aroused since the issues posted here might be pretty sensitive issues. Appropriately manage extreme conflicts that arise that must be dealt with immediately, & always report through the proper channels posts that you feel violate Burn's "no drama" rule. Also, simply check the threads and offer help when needed, also to ensure that there’s no violations of the rules.
• Gaia Life Subforum
Minimum Number of Crew Members Needed: 1
Qualifications: Must be pretty active.
Main Responsibilities in Subforum: Ensure that there are no misplaced threads, and that the issues are related to Gaia. Start new threads occassionally that are geared towards initiating discussion, & take part in discussion threads often.
• Entertainment Discussion Subforum

Main Responsibilities in Subforum: Improve the quality of the guides & resources that currently exist & update any out-of-date information. Seek out new guides & resources to add to the subforum (or even create them yourself, if possible!) . Make sure no members are in violation of the rules & no posts are misplaced, although both of those should be a very unlikely occurance.
• Roleplay Subforum
Minimum Number of Crew Members Needed: 2
Qualifications: Must possess at least a basic understanding of Roleplaying on Gaia. Must be "literate".
Main Responsibilities in Subforum: Ensure that both guild rules are followed, as well as the basic rules of Roleplaying on Gaia. Identify conflicts when they arise & handle them in an appropriate manner. Engage in RPing threads located in the subforum at least occassionally.
• The Arts Subforum

Qualifications: Must be matured.
Main Responsibilities in Subforum: Check through the threads to ensure that all arts or images posted follow the Gaia ToS and is PG-13. Reply to threads when appropriate on at least an occassonal basis. Try & begin threads that are likely to generate discussion, & if/when possible try & increase the activity level (not necessarily a requirement, but if its possible to do, it's almost certainly the most beneficial thing that can be done for the subforum)..
• Chit-Chat Subforum
Minimum Number of Crew Members Needed: 1

• Extended Discussion Subforum
Minimum Number of Crew Members Needed: 2
Qualifications: Must be mature & "collected" enough to handle all the drama & inappropriately cruel posts in the threads. Must be confident that they won't get upset or act inappropriately when confronted with discussions & posts that they may find very offensive & insulting.
Main Responsibilities in Subforum: Take the time to read through all new discussion in threads. Appropriately halt conflicts that have reached a level of extremeness that demands that they be dealt with immediately. Report through the proper channels any posts, threads, or conflicts that you suspect may be in violation of Burn's rules, the subforum's rules, or ToS. Issue warning PMs to members in as polite & mature a manner as possible when you're positive that they have in fact violated a rule. On occasion initiate discussions, particularly when the activity level is abnormally low.

When the activity level is abnormally low, start at least one thread that's likely to generate a fair amount of discussion.
CXO POSITIONS;
• CCO / CHIEF CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Summerized Description: The task of the Director would be simply to create graphics, or order graphics from Minishops in the Personalised Graphics forum for Burn. I trust your decisions. I almost certainly will not alter a THING you write on your graphics order form. The guild’s name needs to stand out on the graphic; it has to be legible and not hidden. I want the overall "feel" of the homepage to be colourful, welcoming, & fun, while simultaneously maintaining an underlining "grungy, edgy" feel. You can check out our banners in the Banners thread, or our current homepage of what banners we have. When you're ready, PM me the filled out order form for the graphics & of course the name of [& link to, if necessary] the graphic shop they're being ordered from. As I said before, the only reason I want you to PM it to me first is because the person placing the order is the person expected to pay, & of course I'm going to pay.
Qualifications: Must be able to create appropriate graphics for Burn, and also be aware of good graphics shops in the main forums.
Main Responsibilities: Create graphics, or order graphics from Minishops in the Personalised Graphics forum for Burn.
• CMO / Chief Marketing Officer
Summerized Description: The primary task of the Officer would simply to brainstorm for ideas to make Burn more attractive, to make Burn stand out and draw people in. Now, Gaia allows guilds to have a brief summary of the guild underneath the guild’s name in the guild registry. The summary must not exceed 140 characters, and our current one would be: “Fusing Reality & Cyberspace. The Everything Guild... For Everyone, Everywhere." I’ll like you to come up with a few more summaries that can be used, that are interesting and intriguing, and will attract members.
Qualifications: Must be creative, and well-aware of what Burn consist - free speech, etc.
Main Responsibilities: Brainstorm for ideas to make Burn more attractive, to make Burn stand out and draw people in.
• CVO / Chief Visionary Officer
Summerized Description: The task of the CVO would be to brainstorm of ideas on how to improve Burn, by analyzing the subforums and looking at the suggestions of the members in the Suggestions thread. Also, you will have to think of changes for Burn that will improve Burn as a guild itself.
Qualifications: Must be able to come up with changes or suggestions for Burn's future.
Main Responsibilities: Brainstorm of ideas on how to improve Burn, by analyzing the subforums and looking at the suggestions of the members in the Suggestions thread.
• General Counsel / Chief Legal Officer
Summerized Description: Since it’s the Chief Legal Officer, the task would simply to analyze the subforums, ensuring that there is no drama or anything that violates the Gaia ToS. Subforums such as Extended Discussion and You: Personal Life Subforums are the subforums need to be monitored closely due to the nature of the subforums.
Qualifications: Must be able to handle drama and be well-aware of the Gaia ToS.
Main Responsibilities: Analyze the subforums and ensure that there is no drama or anything that violates the Gaia ToS.
• CAO / Chief Administrative Officer
Summerized Description: The CAO is something like a ‘secretary’ of Burn, responsible for more straightforward & mundane stuff that needs doing around here, like the updating of the Birthday thread in the main forum.
Qualifications: Must be active in order to update all the threads.
Main Responsibilities: Updating of the Birthday thread in the main forum, and also doing straightforward and mundane stuff for Burn or elysia x.
• CNO / Chief Networking Officer
Summerized Description: The Chief Networking Officer will be responsible mostly for exactly what you'd expect: networking. He or she has to deal with things that are OUTSIDE Burn, meaning affiliating with other guilds, for Burn and individual Burn contests or events. Also, the CNO will have to send out random join requests, simply speaking, to make Burn known to the outside forums.
Qualifications: Must be active, familiar with guilds and outside events.
Main Responsibilities: Affiliating with other guilds, for Burn and individual Burn contests or events.
