~::Yasoinaba Train Station::~
The only train station leading into and out of the small town of Inaba, it runs several hundred miles inland and bridges the gap to several cities, culminating in a stop at Tatsumi Point Island. It is the only straight land transportation line linking these two locations, though one can make a much longer drive by car or sail around the southern tip of Japan in order to get from one to the other.

Rise skipped, updating her senpai on the simpler things that occurred during her absence. She barely skimmed over her grandmother being sick, but mostly she explained that she'd been taking care of the shop with little else to do. The idol had also apologized for not telling him sooner, but she was stressed at the time. Hoping he understood, she spoke nothing more of it after that.
When they arrived at the station, the red head announced their coming with bright anticipation. Deciding that the romantic comedy would suit the mood, Rise began babbling about the actress that stared in it, curious if she played her role well. After all, most of those kind of movies had a clumsy heroine who met an amazing 'perfect' man, and tried to win his heart over. Sometimes it worked, sometimes her best friend was actually the man to be with. But then again, would they pay attention to the movie ? The idol giggled at the thought. More than likely, they wouldn't.

 Soji Seta, Investigation Team Leader
Soji listened to Rise talk en route to the station, the smile on his lips never fading once before they made it to the platform. She explained that her absence had been because she was taking care of the shop for her grandmother, though there was a hint of reservation in her voice that he knew he didn't want to press any further right now. He gripped her hand just a little more tightly when she finished telling him about it; he was there for her if she did want to talk about whatever was troubling her. There was a whistle from the train as he made his way up the wooden steps, telling him that they were just in time to catch the first car in to Okina Station, and he had to lengthen his step to keep up with his girlfriend's energetic skip. She seemed so energetic right now...maybe she had been needing this escape just as much as he had. The thought was enough to erase any reservations he had about the romantic comedy she seemed to be interested in watching, in spite of the fact that he really didn't know too much about the actress. Not that it mattered whether he did or he didn't...in his opinion, he was holding the hand of a better one. And if only for a second, he wished that she had gone back into show-business so that he could watch her on the big screen. She would have been incredible, he knew...but then again, she had her whole future ahead of her for that, didn't she? He'd much rather have her here, with him now.
"That was close," the silverette smirked as the two slipped through the door of the train just in time to catch it leaving the station. The mechanical monster roared to life on the tracks and began to move slowly, crawling forward. He chanced a quick glance around the car and saw that theirs was mostly empty, save an aging man towards the front and a young businessman a few rows behind him. Inclining his head towards a booth near the back, he lead his girlfriend there and dropped lightly on the padded seat, settling in for the ride to Okina.

 Mysterious Young Man
It was by mere chance that Haseo had become a victim of Kazuma's wrath; the young man that had poisoned him said as much, with no reason to believe that he was lying about such. The poison coursing through him had crippled him...Kazuma's blows had broken him...and the way he had been tossed into the Samegawa River had been meant to finish him. For no reason at all, his life had nearly come to an end. Nearly, because as his consciousness would begin to return to him, he was neither sinking to the bottom of the riverbed, bleeding out on the shores of a nearby riverbank, nor already passed on into the next dimension. Instead, he would find himself with his head in the lap of a ghostly white young man, dark bangs casting a pitch black shadow over one of his eyes. The other, a dull gray, looked down at him in an empty sort of way...though Haseo would likely [and strangely] be able to feel the concern in him for his own condition. There was an unusual aura about the Mysterious Young Man, and though the wounded young man would be barely able to make out his features in his current state, it was obvious that in spite of his strangeness, he had been the one to fish Haseo out of the river and tend to him. And if not that, his still-drying blue hair would be evidence enough to support that claim as well. Speaking of the wounds, Haseo would be surprised to find that the throbbing he had become accustomed to during his torture had ebbed into something of a slightly dull but far less intense pain...and the bones that had been utterly broken before were now impossibly mended...if not wholly strengthened just yet. He was both alive and mostly healed...a miracle in and of itself...and it would be a lot for the young man to take in in such a short time after awakening from such a traumatic experience.
"You're alive? Good," a smooth, almost unnaturally calming voice came from the mysterious person who held Haseo carefully, not wanting him to jostle and hurt himself just yet. His face was unreadable, and the only real read one could get on him were the few words he shared and the strange emphatic feeling from him. "Rest now. You're still healing," he told Haseo simply, obviously not feeling the need to say anything more than that. Instead, he remained relatively silent and leaned back onto his hands, giving the boy a few more moments to gain his strength before getting up from his lap. If Haseo had the chance to look around, he would see that he had been taken from the Riverbed to the Yasoinaba Station, the last bastion of Inaba before one took the train out of town. What the mysterious person was doing there and why he had taken Haseo there was unknown...only that he clearly didn't seem to have the intention to harm him. Hopefully, given the circumstances, that would be enough for now.

Haseo motioned his eyelids open slowly, taking in the environment around him. He could breathe now, so he guessed that he was out of the water. "So this is how death is, huh?" he said, almost a whisper, before regaining his senses throughout his body. He could feel that he was still wet, but he before he could sit up, he heard a voice come from above. He fully opened his eyes to see another man looking at him, and realized he was resting his head on his lap. He could still feel the pain of the beating throughout his body, but now, it just seemed like a slight burning sensation. Rubbing his eyes, his arm passed by his nose and he felt that it was no longer broken. Alarmed, he quickly moved his hand over his chest, and felt that his ribs were back in place.
Sitting up, he scratched the bad of his head and turned to face the man he saw. He noticed that the man was soaked. It seemed that this man had pulled him out of the river, and miraculously healed him. "I guess you saved my hide, huh? Thanks" Haseo said, warmly. Looking around, he noticed that he was no longer near the Riverbed, but was now by Yasoinaba Station. This man didn't seem to make Haseo feel off, so he decided to trust him for now.

 Mysterious Young Man
"I didn't do much," the mysterious young man countered casually, leaning back where he sat as Haseo managed to gather his wits about him and sat up off of him, allowing the young man to stretch backwards and extend his legs fully for the first time in a while. It felt good...his muscles had been pent up for way too long, he thought...but it couldn't be helped, since he was giving the kid a hand and all. His eyes remained trained on Haseo emptily, though the impassive expression on his face implied both that he was genuinely concerned for the young man...but also somewhat miffed that he had to be here in the first place. In fact, his general demeanor as a whole seemed distant but not unfriendly. He was preoccupied by something as well, making his attention, while entirely genuine, not totally focused. And he really looked like he could use a nap. 'It's your potential that saved you," he elaborated slightly, though potential for what he didn't seem willing to say, "if you didn't have it, I couldn't have done anything." The mysterious young man shrugged lightly at that, wringing out his cuffs and then standing from his seat on the stairs of the station and cracking his back. Now that Haseo seemed to be doing well enough, he didn't have any more reason to stick around here. And there was still so much left to do before then...

"Didn't do much? If it weren't for you, I'd be dead by now." Haseo said sheepishly, turning around and giving the man a grin. He stretched both his hands upwards, and lied his back on the ground once more before kicking himself up. "My potential?" he asked, genuinely curious now. Originally, he had just thought that this man had saved his life, and managed to do some sort of thing to heal him. But now, he was curious as to who this man was, and what he was implying. Haseo leaned forward, touching his toes with his fingers, before standing straight and spinning his arm around. "So what do you suggest I do now?"

 Mysterious Young Man
There was an energy about Haseo that the mysterious young man couldn't help but admire somewhat; he reminded him of someone in that regard...an easy friendliness and lighthearted manner. He wondered idly if Haseo was into older girls, but dismissed that pointless thought as soon as it had come to him. Now wasn't the time to go fishing down into the depths of all that. There were more important things to think about, such as where he was going and the potential that he had mentioned, which had piqued the young man he had saved's curiosity. An enigmatic smile creased his lips as Haseo asked him what he meant by that, and then what he should do now that he had been healed following his ordeal. "Rest," he reiterated coolly, almost as if he were talking to a very young kouhai or a younger brother, "don't strain yourself. With your potential, there's still only so much I can do." Naturally, he didn't elaborate on what exactly it was that he had done in the first place, nor did he go into any further detail on the 'potential' aspect he had been referring to up until now. He didn't see a need for it right now...as things like that, he had learned over time, were best left to take place naturally. Intervening with knowledge before his time would only put him at the risk of awakening too early, and he knew just what the repercussions of that would be.
Standing at the bottom of the station stairs, the young man looked off into the distance thoughtfully, as if considering something. Then, glancing back over at Haseo, his he offered another, much more honest smile. "Rest at the nearest inn. There's also a dorm nearby. A special one," he explained simply, nodding off in a direction away from the station, "Ask for Mitsuru and explain; she'll take care of you."

Haseo nodded as the mysterious young man told him to rest. The way he said it left Haseo in awe, this man seemed so caring. He wanted to get to know him more in the near future. "I'll make it a note to be extra careful until I fully recover." he gave him a thumbs-up and grinned. He wanted to get Kazuma back, but he knew that would be suicide right now. He may have been healed, but he knew that it wasn't a full recovery just yet. He turned towards where the man nodded, and turned towards there, noting to ask for 'Mitsuru' and explain the events that transpired. He began walking towards the dorm, but stopped and turned around. "Until we meet again" he gave a parting smile, before turning back and moving forward.

"Just made it!" a young man, no older than 18 exclaimed, making it on board the train to Okina just before it left. Though he was sure no one was watching him, he made sure to talk in his girl's voice at all times in case someone just happened to pass by. While his natural voice was just a few tones lower than a girl's voice, he didn't use it much. But even if he did, people still would think he was a girl. The reason he acted, dressed, and talked liked a woman was because a long time ago, he wanted to appease his parents as they wanted a girl, and tried to be as feminine as possible. That's why he did as such, and has gotten used to it a long time ago.
Brushing some dust off of his skirt, he slowly made his way to the train car in front, as he found the car he had entered to be quite desolate, as there was nobody else inside. Moving towards the car in front, he walked inside and smiled a bit to himself as there were more people in this one. Walking towards a vacant seat in the middle of the car, he took a seat, leaning back and motioning his arm at chest level, and pulled back his sleeve to check the time. Dropping his arm to his side, he noticed a young couple in front of him.
'That guy is kind of cute, too bad he's taken.' he thought, staring dreamily at the man.

 Soji Seta, Investigation Team Leader
The Senior yawned a little as the train crept down the tracks and the Yasoinaba Station began to fade into the distance; he was excited about the trip, but there was something about long rides that always tended to make him want to fall asleep. Maybe it was the rocking of a vehicle, the train rollicking along the tracks steadily and soothing him into a gentle slumber, or the rocking of a boat coaxing him into dreamland...either way, he was about as far opposite those with motion sickness as one could get. In fact, now that he thought about it, hadn't he been asleep on the inbound train to Inaba the first time that Igor had summoned him into the Velvet Room? It was so long ago that it was hard to properly remember, but sitting together with Rise and a long ride ahead of them, his mind had free reign to wander to all sorts of places...including the rest of the passengers on the train. The old man in particular wasn't of much interest, though he did occasionally grumble something inaudible that made him wonder exactly what he was talking about that bothered him so much. The businessman was only notable for the way that he fidgeted every so often, as if he were nervous about something...maybe a deal or a possible promotion that was forthcoming at work, or having to break some bad news to his family back home. Whatever it was, it was probably personal...and the man didn't seem to want to be bothered about it, anyway. That meant that there really wasn't anybody interesting on the train at all, he thought...only to be taken slightly off-guard when he glanced casually back to another seat and saw that a young person, possibly a Yasogami student like himself, had somehow slipped into the car under his radar. Which was mildly impressive, given how observant he usually was about things like that...making him wonder if he really was that distracted by Rise whenever the two of them were together. Not that it was a bad thing, of course...he smirked slightly, glancing over at the idol guiltily, thumb padding over the back of her hand...not a bad thing at all.
It was only a few moments later when he glanced back at the young person that he realized that they were staring at him...his eyebrow raised only slightly in recognition, and after a moment to try and ascertain why that might be through his own musing, he dismissed the thought. No point over-thinking when he could just talk to the person and get it from the person directly. "Yasogami High, right?" he asked the young person casually, an easy smile on his face that pretty much invited conversation, "what brings you to Okina?"

Mio was taken off-guard when the man in front of him noticed him staring, which caused him to turn a slight shade of red, and averted his eyes to the window behind the man. It was too late, as he had already noticed him though. "Y-yes, that's right." he replied, managing to keep his voice at a high tone despite slightly being nervous. "I'm supposed to be transferring to class 2-2 tomorrow." he continued his statement, losing the shade of red on his face. "I just felt like going to Okina to maybe buy some clothes, maybe lounge around, watch a movie, I really don't know yet." he said, chuckling slightly.

When Mio looked away embarrassed at having been caught, the silver-haired Senior had the courtesy not to look amused, though he had to admit that it brought a small smile to his face to see someone acting in such an innocent manner. It at least told him that the person probably wasn't a perverted stalker or anything like that, and that she at least felt some sense of propriety. Besides, there was nothing wrong with looking at the people around you, and he didn't particularly mind it if no one else did. No harm, no foul he figured; he rolled his neck slightly until they turned their attention back to him, confirming what he had suspected about them from the start. "Welcome to Inaba," he offered kindly when he/she told him they would be transferring in tomorrow, "Name's Soji Seta...I'll be your Senpai. It's nice to meet you." It didn't seem like they were the type to make an introduction without provocation, so he decided it would be easier if he did it first. The ride to Okina wasn't short, after all, and if he and Rise could find somebody else to talk to a little bit that was interesting, time would pass a lot easier. And since Mio [whose name he did not yet know] seemed to be the best candidate, he didn't see any problem with trying to break the ice with his newest underclassmen back at school.

"Thank you, Seta-senpai." he told his senpai. It seemed that not only was he cute and attractive, but he also seemed to be quite kind and caring. "I'm Mio, Mio Minamoto. It's nice to meet you too." he introduced himself to his senpai, bowing in his seat. He leaned back in his chair a bit, looking out the window. As expected, everything was moving fast as the train passed by. This was a reason he preferred trains and boats over airplanes. You could see the scenery pass you by. While you could still see clouds pass you by on an airplane, you rarely see the birds flying alongside the plane. "So, what brings you to Okina, senpai?" he asked, turning his head back towards his senior.

"Well..." the Senior trailed off as he considered exactly what it was that he had come out here en route to the Okina Station for today in response to Mio's question. Of course, he knew that he had come out here with Rise because the two of them needed to get away and unwind from the troubles plaguing them back in Inaba, if only for a day...and because they hadn't spent much time together lately, which was totally unacceptable, really. Rise deserved to relax a lot more than she did, and he felt guilty whenever she took too much onto her shoulders and he couldn't do enough to help her. That's why he was bringing her out here, taking her to the movie that she wanted to see...because he missed her, because he wanted to ease her mind about all the incidents that had been taking place, and because he felt guilty...guilty that he couldn't protect her, couldn't protect the victims, couldn't protect anybody. And mostly, because he just wanted to be with her. Yeah, that was why he was out here, wasn't it? "We're going to see a movie," he answered with a casual smile, his usual confidence easing through despite the thoughtful expression barely hidden beneath his eyes, "and then to eat? Maybe..." He left the explanation open-ended, in case Rise wanted to chime in or add/subtract something from the conversation. He was, after all, taking her out to do pretty much whatever she wanted today. And though he had been the one to suggest they left Inaba for the day, he was still more than willing to take her wherever she wanted to go. Somehow, he hoped that he could make this day a date to remember for the two of them.
"There aren't too many places to go in Inaba, you know?" he chipped in after that, glancing out the window and admiring the scenery passing by as Mio had a few moments earlier. In that regard, he could sense that the two of them were thinking along the same lines, and that they had something in common, there. It was always enjoyable to watch the world pass you by...sights you could never see in quite the same way any other way or place you traveled...and since he had noticed Mio looking, it piqued his interest just a little bit more.
